Part 18

Amber's P.O.V:

                             The dinner with my family is finally over. It was nothing like a family sitting together and enjoying christams and life, it was more like a business meeting. I am glad it's over. Anna and I had a good time and we talked about Sammy and she told me I need to be patient and give her time. The only thing now worrying me is Sammy. She texted yesterday that she had reached but since then no text has been send by her.

My cell rang. It was a call from Sammy, but as soon as I picked it I heard a loud thud and the call was cut. I tried calling her again and again but noone was picking. My fear turned worse when her cell was switched off. I knew something was worng. I knew it in my heart, she needed me.

I called Jack and Josh with Martin. I told Anna before leaving and left the mansion. Anna told me to be safe while I wanted nothing more than my Sammy to be safe. Josh told me he had traced Sammy's cell at the same address we were headed to. I was so scared and kept shouting at Martin to drive faster but it was christamas and the roads were blocked with heavy traffic. I was so helpless.

It took us 6 hrs to reach this small town. It was nothing like the city. Everything was silent. Small houses were decorated with christmas trees and lightings. I was so tired and I just wanted to see my Sammy. My heart was aching for her look. I wanted to her stupid smirk. I wanted to see those eyes. I wanted to be in her arms. I needed my Sammy.

We reached a small house. Josh told me we were here. We all got out, I told Jack and Josh to come with me while Martin stayed in car. Josh and Jack both were trained in special combats while Martin was just a driver. I didn't want him to get hurt if something goes down. I rang the bell of the house and waited. I heard someone coming towards the door.

"Hello" a man stood in the door.

"Hi. Can you call Sammy? I'm here to see her." I asked politely. He opened the door and let me in but when Josh and Jack tried to come in he stopped them. "They're with me." I told the man.

"What do you want with my daughter?" he asked.

"Well, she wasn't answering my calls and I was worried about her so I thought I'll visit her."

"She's not here." He said and that told me that I was right all along.

"What do you mean ? Where is Sammy? Why is she not here?" I almost shouted. I saw a lady come towards me from one of the rooms. She came closer and held my face in her hand,

"You are her? aren't you? The one she loves?" she asked. This lady definately was not in her right mind. The way she talked, she needed serious help.

"Yes I am. Where is she? Where is Sammy? I wanna see her plese." I begged her. I saw Sammy's father go inside the room.

"Oh no dearie. You don't know. Sammy is sick. She needed help. We sent her to get help. She will be purified. She will heal." her words pierced through my heart because now I knew where she was.

"What did you do to her? How could you do this to your own daughter?" I snapped, shouting at her. Before I could hear another word I was silenced by a double barrel gun right in my face. Sammy's father held a big gun in my face. I was starting to panic when within no time I saw Josh pull up a .45 and he put it at his temple.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Josh said. With that he lowered his gun from my face and I sighed.

"Ma'am please tell me where she is. I beg you. She is your daughter. Please let me save her."

"She is a sinner" Sammy's father spat. "She is getting what she deserves. She refused to tell her who the other girl was until now and now that you are here I just wanna kill you myself." He tried to attack me but Josh hit him with the gun and he fell down on the floor unconscious.

"Josh call the cops. She is danger. I have to find her."

"Yes Ma'am" he rushed outside.

"Please ma'am. Tell me where you have sent her. If you love Sammy just tell me please." I begged her.

"You really love her don't you?" she said looking at me.

"I love her more than anything. Please let me save her."

"She has been taken to her.... the changer... She will fix her." she said. My mind was about to explode when I remembered everything Sammy told me about her.

I rushed out the house fast with Josh and Jack following me. I told Josh to tell the cops about the changer. I remembered Sammy telling me that it was on the outskirts of town. Martin drove as fast as he could to find her. The cops gave us three possible locations to check and told us they were on the way too. I told them to bring ambulances as well. I quickly took out my cell and called a friend of mine who worked for one of country's most famous news channels. She told me they'd send a chopper with team as soon as possible. I was gonna bring f*****g Hell down on this f*****g town. If something happened to Sammy, I'll kill each and everyone of them.

We went to the first location but there was nothing but a normal family house. Location no.2 was cleared by the cops and we were headed towards last location. We came across this creepy property. There was no movement on the outside. Josh told me to stay put while he checked the surroundings. I told him to check for the basements. He went inside the house that's when when I heard a gun shot. I felt like my heart stopped. Everything was stopped. It was like someone pushed me into my worst night-mare. Sammy's face flashed infront of my eyes.

I pushed opened the car door and ran into the house. I could hear the cops' cars approaching and Jack and Martin screaming to stop me. I ran inside and searched but there was noone then I saw a door leading down to a basement, I ran as fast as I could. I almost fell down when I saw Josh holding several women at gun point, and in the middle of the room was Sammy. She wasn't awake. Her hands were in chains. She was on her knees as the chains from both left and right pillars were stretched. Everything was happening in slow motion. I went closer to Sammy and saw her back..... she was hurt. I saw a woman holding a steel rod which was as red as fire. They were branding her..... The cops came in and took the women while Josh told me to hold Sammy. I didn't understand him at first,

"Amber..." he shouted. "Amber listen to me. She is alive. But we have to get her out. Do you understand?" I nodded. "Good, now hold her. I am gonna shoot the chains and get ready for the sound."

I quickly rushed towards Sammy and held her in my arms while Josh shot the chains and freed her. It was the gun shots that made the other girls shout and that's when I noticed. It wasn't just Sammy. There were cages all around us and they were filled with girls. I couldn't believe what was infront of my eyes. It was horrer that could keep you up for the rest of your life. I was snapped out of my horrer when I heard her.

"A-Amber...." she spoke my name....

"Sammy... I'm here Sammy.. I'm gonna get you out of here. I promise." I looked at her and kissed her.

"Let's go Amber. We have to get her help." Josh shouted.

I picked Sammy up carefully and brought her outside. While I was leaving the basement I saw officers freeing other girls.

"The ambulances are still not here." Jack shouted. As soon as he was finished I heard the chopper in the air. They landed near the position and my friend came out. She looked at me and Sammy and I didn't even had to ask her she told the pilot to take us back to the city. Josh came along with me while Jack and Martin behind.

"She'll be fine Amber." Josh comforted me.

"I don't know what I'd do if she won't....." I said breaking into tears.

"She will be. She is strong. See." Josh pointed at my hand, when I looked at it I saw Sammy gripping it. I held her hand tighter. "You'll be fine Sammy. I'm here now. I won't let anyone hurt you. I love you so much." she gripped my hand again.

We landed on a building's roof after about 20 mins. It was the building I lived in. Josh told me he had already taken care of everything. Just as we landed I saw a medical team. They helped us taking Sammy out and lead her to my place.

Doctor Jessica was cleaning Sammy's wounds. Josh had called Anna for me. We were waiting out in the main lounge while she and her team were working on Sammy. Anna was hugging me and Josh was walking here in there in stress. Suddenly lift opened and I saw my bestfriend Lana enter. I quickly ran into her arms and broke into sobs. She hugged me and I just cried for the longest period of time.

"Hey... It'll be fine Ambs... She'll be fine.."

"I love her lanay.... I love her so much... I can't live without her..."

"And you won't have to. Trust me. Just relax."

"I am so scared lanay... it was just like dad... She was tied in chains." I fell down on my knees and she sat with me hugging me.

"I know baby.. I know... She'll be fine. She loves you right?" I nodded "She'll come back to you. She won't leave."

"Where did you meet her by the way?" Lana asked after sometime, trying to make me laugh.

"Long story...." I laughed while crying. She helped me up. We went to the lounge and sat together with Lana on one side and Anna on other.

"Thankyou Josh" I said. He nodded. Josh and Lana are together. I knew he must have called her. We all sat there silently waiting for the doctor. Doctor Jessica came out and we all stood up

"Don't worry. She'll be fine. The wounds are deep. It will take time to heal" then she turned to me and held my hands "The wounds on her body will heal with time but the wounds on her mind will be healed by love. You have to be patient with her Amber. She needs you. She kept taking your name but I sedated her for now. She'll wake up tomorrow. I'll leave two nurses here for you. You can call me if anything goes wrong."

"Thanks so much Doctor."

"Com'on Amber. We're closer than that." She hugged me. "Is there still no chance we can take her to the hospital?" Jessica asked Josh and he shook his head in no. "Okay then Amber. I'll leave."

"Thanks Jessica."

"You are most welcome. I'm happy for you." I smiled at her and with that she left. I turned to Josh

"Why didn't we take her to the hospital?"

"We can't. You are not just some normal girl Amber. The media, police everyone would have been there. You couldn't have given her your time to her and I didn't want Sammy to suffer the cops and their questions or worse media."

"You're right." I nodded. In any other situation I would have shouted at him but I know he means well. The lift opened and Jack and Martin came in.

"What happened?" Josh asked.

"Sammy wasn't the only one. They had girls from several other towns. They were all injured. The cops took the women and girls were taken in ambulances. We didn't tell cops about Sammy's parents' involvement and we made sure that nobody will ever know." Josh nodded.

"Thankyou so much everyone. I can't thank you all enough. You all are my family." I said them all and hugged Josh.

After sometime Josh and Lana left together along with Jack and Martin. Anna decided to stay and look after us. She opened the guest rooms for nurses. I was standing outside my room's door. I wanted to go inside to her but I wasn't sure if I was ready to see her like this. She wasn't ready to show me her back before. How will I ever see her now.

"She needs you my child." Anna spoke from behind me.

"I'm not sure if I'm ready to see her like this Anna."

"I know. It's hard. But this is not about you, it's about her. You have to be strong for her. She will need you to heal."

"What if I fail to help her? What if I can't save her? Like I couldn't save dad...."

"Oh Amber but you already did. Now you just have to help her heal. I know you love her and I can tell she loves you too. She is fighting in there for you, you have to fight for her too."

"Thankyou Anna..." I hugged her and she left....

I entered my room and saw her, she was laying on her stomach while her back was naked. There were medicines on her back. Her hair were shorter than I remembered. She was asleep. Her hand was laid out on bed. I climbed up and laid beside her. I was dying to have her arms around me. I held her hand and kissed her. She was weak and hurt but she was there. She didn't leave me and I won't ever leave her. I'll never fail her.

"I love you Sammy.. so much. and I'll never ever leave.." I kissed her goodnight and closed my eyes.....
