The wolfsbane has worn off awhile ago and I'm seeing if my team will find me. How dumb though. I got caught by something so simple. I so hope Conner doesn't get word of this. If he finds out I caught by humans, he not gonna let me live it down.
I sigh and move my shoulders. I'll wait for a little longer then leave. Good thing this mission doesn't really have a time limit. I tug on the chains a bit. I'm so bored. I let out another sigh. The door opens and someone walks down the stairs. Finally something that's not boring.
A woman stands in front of my cell looking angrily at me. " What are you doing here. " She tries to sound demanding but I can tell shes scared.
" Passing by. "
" To go where. "
" Why you wanna know. "
" Just tell me. "
" Or what. You gonna yell at me. "
" I'll, I'll give you more wolfsbane. "
I roll my eyes. " Go ahead. I've been through worse. "
She stomps her foot. " I'll just kill you then. "
" Okay. Do you know how to kill wolves. "
" Yea. "
I raise one eyebrow. " How do you kill one then. "
" Silver. " She stammers.
I chuckle. " You don't have any silver. "
" Yes I do. "
" Pure silver. It has to be one hundred percent silver and can't be contaminated. "
She just stares at me.
I sigh. " Okay you know what, I'm done. "
I stand up and the chains break. She gasps and steps back.
" This is annoying. I thought my team would've found me by now, but no. What are they even doing. "
" Stay back. "
I grab the bars of the cell and I wince as they are pure silver. I push really hard and the bars come out of the wall. I let go and the bars fall on the floor. She stands there terrified, unable to move.
I step out and unto the bars and stretch. " That feels better. " I look at her. " Its best that you rejected him, you are not suitable to be a mate. "
I walk by her up the stairs and through the door. I look around and don't see anyone. I shrug and walk out the front door. Now I have to find my team.
Sylvie
Lilith's been gone for almost two days now and I'm kinda worried. We've tried to sense her and locate her, but nothings come up. I really hope shes okay. We left the inn and went to a hotel and have been staying here.
We gone and looked and asked but got nothing. Its like she just disappeared or something. I'm really worried. We are sitting in a restaurant right now trying to come up with a plan. We were so deep in conversation we didn't notice Lilith.
Lilith
I slam my hand on the table and they all jump. " Good to know you guys aren't starving yourselves looking for me. "
" Lilith. " Josh stammers shocked. " Where were you. "
I motion Sylvie to move over and sit down. " I don't know. "
" You don't know. "
" Yea. I am starving though. "
They bombarded me with questions and I just blew them off. I don't want the to know and for Conner to find out. I didn't realize how hungry I was till I started eating.
" Did you know there was a pack here. " Josh asks.
I shake my head. " I didn't, no. "
" They moved here after they fought with a neighboring pack. The soon-to-be-alpha was pretty nice though. I think his name was Leon, Leon Malum. "
I choke on my food. " Leon Malum?! "
He looks at me confused. " Yea. "
" s**t. "
My cousin. They moved here. I can see why I mean my father went wild with power, well with few months he had the title. So that means that everyone moved here. They aren't like my siblings and parents. They are nice.
* Flashback. *
I'm excited to spend time with my aunt and uncle. My parents don't usually let come and visit all that much. I really enjoy it here. I'm sitting on the couch watching TV and Leon tackles me.
" Sup cuz. "
I chuckle. " I was watching TV Leon. "
He ruffles my hair and hugs me. " Missed ya. Why haven't you come and visit. "
He gets off of my and sits beside me. I shrug. " Mom and dad didn't want me to come. "
" You can just sneak out. "
" How. We have so many patrols. "
He ruffles my hair again. " I'll help you, don't worry. " He smiles.
* End of flashback. *
" You've heard of them before. " Josh asks.
I nod. " Yea. "
" Isn't Malum the surname of the old alpha king. "
" Yea. " Flynn scoffs. " He only had the title for like three months before the council took it from him. He got it by doing some deal and got in trouble for it, and got heavy consequences. "
" What kind of deal. " Sylvie asks.
Flynn shrugs. " No one knows. The council kept it a secret and destroyed any evidence of what he did. "
Yea, no one knows he traded his bastard daughter for a stupid title. He even pushed his in-laws away. What a prick. We should leave soon though, I don't wanna see them. Not yet.
I finish my food and stand up. " Are you guys still staying at the inn. "
" No. We moved to a hotel. The inn was kinda creepy to be honest. " Ertha says.
" You got that right. Wheres the hotel. "
" Just around the corner. " She points in the direction. " Tranquil hill I think its called. "
I nod. " See ya. "
" If you wait a bit we'll come with you. "
" Its fine. I'm just going to shower and change. "
" Okay. "
I leave the restaurant and head for the hotel. I'm about to walk in the hotel when some calls out to me.
" Salem? "
I turn around and see Collin, Leon's younger brother.
