Alpha Of Darkness

Chapter 2

All five of them stand in line. Micheal stands up and rubs his hands together.

" Thank you for coming. "

They all look slightly confused and nervous. People don't usually get called to Micheal's office for good things.

" You guys are probably wondering why you are here. I have a special and secret mission for you guys. I looked carefully at your files and picked the six of you for this. "

" Six sir? " One of the asks.

Micheal nods and gestures his hands towards me. I give a small nod.

" She will be your leader, and I suggest you listen to her, she is a lot scarier than she looks. You will leave in a few days after you examine the files, and she will lead you to what you need. "

I look at him. " How. "

He turns his head towards me. " We can locate the relics, its just we can close it on the location exactly. We can tell the city its by, but nothing else. "

" Really. We have the best locators in the whole world. "

" Oh shut up for f***s sake. We are doing our best okay, its been difficult to locate them and we don't know why. " Glenda snaps.

" You ever think that they have a protection spell on them. "

She has the look of realization on her face.

I shake my head. " They are powerful relics, it would be dumb to think that they wouldn't protect themselves. "

She groans. " Do you not like witches or something. "

" No. I just don't like you. "

You are the reason my old team died.

She shakes her head. " I don't get you. That school really messed you up. I thought you would've learnt to- "

Before she can finish her sentence I let out a loud growl. I charge her and grab her by the throat and hold up against the wall.

" Say it, come one. I dare you. "

She looks at me terrified and I tighten my grip. The other look like they are ready to attack me, but Micheal stops them.

" Don't! Lilith let her go please. "

I let out a low growl and let go out her. She falls to the ground coughing.

I turn and look at Micheal. " I am not doing this. "

He sighs. " Its not just the council that want you to do it. "

He grabs a paper from the table and holds it out. I walk over and grab it and read it.

Dear Lilith,

I am writing to you because you will not accept this mission. I know you don't like working with people because of what happened with your last team. What happened was not your fault, and you have learned to live with the darkness within you. Tell Ethu I say hi and Thoelia if you two are on good terms.

I know you will reject the offer but I beg you to take it. It will help you in many ways. If this letter doesn't make you changer your mind, then I will use one of my you-owe-me's. I'm not doing this to be mean, but you really do need this. You can't be alone forever and I won't be there all the time.

You need to make your own connections, with actual people not the ones inside. I fought hard to make you leader of this group, and I know you will be great.

I take a deep breath. " Fine. "

" You'll do it. " Micheal says slightly excited.

" Yes. "

I look to the line of people and they look nervous.

" Why don't you introduce yourselves. " Micheal says.

They all nod.

" I'm Joshua, people call my Josh and I am a vampire. "

" I'm Sylvie and I'm a witch. "

" I'm Kendra and I'm a- "

" Wait. " I cut her off. " Why does this sound like alcoholics anonymous. just give me your names I can sense what you are. "

" Okay, i'm Flynn. "

" I'm Ertha. "

I bow my head. " Thanks, I am Lilith. "

" Umm. " Sylvie slightly raises her hand. " Do you mean Lilith Alpha of Darkness. "

I roll my eyes. " I hate that name. " I turn to Micheal. " Give me my copy of the files and I'll look at them. "

He opens his drawer and pulls out a file and hands it to me. I grab it and slip the letter from Conan inside.

" Be ready in a few days. "

I nod.

" I think this is the most I've heard you talk in the past 5 years. "

" Its all you're getting for the next 5 years. "

He chuckles and smiles. " Thanks. "

" I'm not doing this for you. "

I walk out of the office and head to my room.

Sylvie POV.

OH MY GODS. Lilith the Alpha of Darkness is going to be our team leader. She is amazing and strong, powerful, ruthless and she can use magic ruins. Oh lets not forget she is also a werewolf. Very secret creatures.

They mostly keep to themselves and don't communicate much. There's only been at least 2 or 3 that joined the order. She is the first that went to the academy. It sends shivers up my spine thinking about that place.

Xextune Academy is named after the Goddess Xextune, she is the sister of the God Yton. They are the god and goddess of the vampires. Of course every species has more than one god or goddess.

Xextune isn't evil per se, she was just weird. She enjoyed fighting and was merciless, mainly why they named the school after her. Anyway Lilith went to the school for 5 years. She starting going when she was 12 or 13, not really sure.

She went there for a hard 5 years, most didn't even survive at the school. They would actually die and the school would say they ran away, or went on a training thing and died. The ones that didn't die they sold them to organizations for money.

It took them so many years to finally prove what they were doing. Azriel the headmaster was the worst. He enjoyed torturing the student and did horrible things to make them obey him. Luckily he got sentenced to death by execution. The student though, they were all pretty messed up afterwards.
