Chapter 15

Three days. Three f*****g days. Seriously! I say its important and he takes three days. Oh i'm mister big shot, oh i'm gonna ignore her when she says its important, i'm gonna take three f*****g days to get to her. We are only 20 hours away by car from the city that the order and council reside.

He could've easily teleport here in seconds. f*****g prick. Gets me mad sometimes. Ugh dammit. I'm getting too upset over this, he must be close. Why do I get annoyed by everything so easily. He needs to be closer, this is nerve racking.

" s**t! " I scream out as Conner appears out of nowhere.

He chuckle slightly. " Sorry. It was getting annoying. "

I glare at him. " Really. "

He looks around the room. " Oh this looks like the room your aunt and uncle had for you. "

" That's because it is. "

His eyes go wide. " You found your family. Wait. " He hisses. " Are they here. "

I shake my head. " Nope. They are back in the old territory. "

" Oh. " He shrugs. " I can finally meet the family. "

I get of the bed and stand up. " Yep. Gonna be hard to describe our situation though. "

" Always is. " He sighs. " Always is. " He tilts his head. " What you go for me there. "

I scoff. Of course he can feel it. " Your very own nephalem. "

His eyes go wide and a creepy smiles goes across his face. " Really. "

" Yea. Please stop looking like that. "

His face goes blank. " This better. "

I shake my head. " You need help. "

" If I need help, you need help. "

I nod. " True. Lets go meet my family. "

Conner.

I gotta say I wasn't expecting her to call me. What happened the last time we were together for too long. Whew. I though she wouldn't want to be in the same room. Yet again it was mostly me not wanting to be close.

Being trapped inside another persons body is not as fun as it sounds. I mean I wouldn't of minded it if it wasn't Lilith's body. Hard to explain I know. What ever the Academy did us that night still has lingering effects.

When we are together for too long, our minds shift. Truly hard to explain. I just hope it doesn't happen again, maybe this nephalem will help. I hope it doesn't hurt or anything. I wonder what it will be like. Oh i'm excited.

We walked down the stairs towards the alphas office. I haven't seen the place myself, but I know through Lilith. We turn the corner at the stairs and I see someone waiting at the door. He looks kinda short, but everyone is kinda short to me.

Being almost 6'7 everyone is short. He must be the same height as Lilith. He has the same black hair as her, must be a family trait. His eyes are a nice grey and I can't help but stare at him. Our eyes meet and I know exactly who he is.

Her cousin Leon is my mate. He stiffens when he sees and I stop dead in my tracks. We stare at each other for what feels like an eternity. Lilith's shoves me forward and I stumble breaking eye contact. I glare at her.

Leon clears his throat. " Everyone's waiting Salem. "

He avoids eye contact and opens the door. I pout and Lilith pushes me into the room.

Samuel.

Leon opens the door and walks in looking at the floor, and then a few seconds later Lilith is pushing some guy in the room. He looks at the ground pouting.

" What the hell happened? " I asked.

The guy turns his head to look at Salem, then she gives him an annoyed look and punches him. What the hell. He falls to the ground and spreads out his body. I look at everyone and they look dumbfounded.

Salem puts her hand over her mouth and lets out a muffled giggle. " We slipped. "

She puts her other hand out and the guy crosses his arms with an angry look on his face. What the hell is happening.

She tilts her head. " Do you want it now. "

He nods. " Please. Its getting worse. "

He sits up and she digs in her pocket and pulls out a gem. He reaches for it and she throws it at his head. It shatters and this dark smoke fills the room and I can't see anything. It all suddenly disappears and the guy is laying on the floor.

Okay. What just happened.

Lilith.

holy goddess that was bad. As soon as he looked at Leon, we both started to slip. Nothings worse than accidentally shifted into another persons mind. Nothing but madness. A burden we both share. There are many reason why we need to stay apart.

The madness that I hold, and the effect it has on the shift. Celdo is making it better though. We aren't slipping into each other consciousness anymore. I can feel it. Now I have to explain this to everyone.

They all look at me confused and Kinda scared.

" Sorry about that. " I rub the back of my head. " A bit slipped out. "

" A bit of what. " My uncle says confused.

" Madness. "

He looks taken back. " Madness. "

" Yes. " I sigh. " One of the academy's experiments. They wanted to know is they could shift the madness. "

They look at the unconscious Conner, then at me. " He has madness. " Josh says.

I don't sat anything.

Everyone's eyes go wide. I put my hand up. " Got it under control. Well now that Celdo's here. " I look at Conner.

" Celdo? " My uncle asks.

" Yes. We've all talked to Kendra about Micheal's plan right. With the nephalem. Small problem with his plan though. The nephalem are already here. "

" What?! " Everyone shouts. " He's a nephalem. "

" Now he is. " I smile. " Shes not gonna be alone anymore. "

" Who is. " My uncle asks.

" Ethu, my nephalem. "

everyone looks shocked. I clear my throat. " Now its time to tell you everything. "
