Chapter 16

* One week before the academy closed down. *

Third person.

Two people lay on stone tables, one male and one female both stripped to their underwear. A magic circle surrounds both the tables, with two smaller ones underneath the tables. The room is filled with candles and dead animals. A man enters the room with a book.

He walks and stands in between the tables. He looks at both of the people. The restraints holding down their arms, legs, waists and one over the females eyes. He takes a closer look at the female.

" I never liked your eyes. No matter what I did, they would always have that look in them. " He says disgusted. He combs his fingers through her long and tangled black hair. " Maybe this will change them. Make you obedient. " He snarls.

He looks up at a hole in the ceiling. " The moon is almost here. " He smirks. " Lets get ready. "

Five people walk and start painting runes on the two people. They finish and back away. A light starts to peer into the room. The female twitches and starts to move.

The man with the book scoffs. " Of course its wearing off. "

" Do we still continue. " One of the helpers ask.

The man smirks. " Yes. "

* Now. *

Lilith.

I sit on the couch and everyone just stares at me. I tried to explain everything I could, but it took a bit. Conner is still on the floor. Its easy to tell that Celdo's stopping the connection, because I feel embarrassed. Not because of what happened with Conner, but because of everything that happened with Conner.

All the times the madness slipped out, and all the times our minds shifted. We both act a little weird from time to time. It kinda makes me wonder a bit as well. The alpha of darkness is a stupid name. I now understand why I got it though.

I never got why people thought of me as ruthless, cold, kill crazy, but now I do. I had my team which I was with 24/7, and saw what I did. When they died I was by myself. I did impossible missions, mostly assassination missions.

I was always alone with no one. I ignored those who wanted to be friends because, they wanted some of the power I held in the order. Then when I started being called the alpha of darkness, I avoided everyone. Even though what they were saying wasn't true.

Sitting in front of my family, and explaining it to them, I can see why the rumors started. I told them about nephalems, and explained Micheal's plan better. They somewhat understand, but I think they are just unsure.

" So let me get this. The night the academy went to get you, you ran away into a forest. " Leon says slowly.

I nod.

" So you went into some ruins. "

I nod.

" While people are chasing you. "

I nod.

" You went into ruins and ran down a hallway and went into a room that was chained up. "

I nod.

" Are you dumb. "

I look at him offended.

" That's like some dumb horror movie s**t. "

I scoff. " Yea being chased by two betas and I see no way of hiding. I thought if I went deep enough into the ruins, they would lose my scent. I the room had a door that I could barracked easily, and their was weapons in there. I just passed out before I could use them. "

" So wait. Your nephalem can talk to you like your wolf. " My aunt asks.

I nod. " Yes, but she is not as fun as my wolf. "

" Whats your wolf like, what does it look like. " My uncle asks.

I look down. " I don't know. We don't talk much and I never seen myself shifted. "

" Whats your nephalem like. "

I shrug. " Shes different every time. She was nice at first, but she changed when I got re- " I stop myself.

" When you got what. That fuse thingy with Conner. "

I shake my head. " They both changed really when I. " I sigh. " When I got rejected by my mate. "

Everyone gasps. " You got rejected honey. I'm so sorry. " My aunt says.

" I'm fine. They both changed that day. Ethu became sinister and Thoelia went quiet. Ethus not all bad, sometimes shes nice and boasts about us, other times she forces images in my head. I don't think she does it to torture me though, I think she does it to show me the harsh reality of everything. "

" Sounds cruel. "

" Not really. " I lean back into the couch and look up. " Had much worse happen. "

Conner shoots up making everyone jump.

" Finally awake. " I say.

Conner looks at me. " That was not fun. "

" Did I say it gonna be. "

He looks straight. " You didn't really say much really. "

" We need to come up with a plan to stop Micheal, now that there is two of us, it will be easier to stop him. "

" How do we stop him. " Sylvie asks.

" Well he needs relics to do the ritual, we just have to find out which ones, and keep them away from him. "

" What if he already has the relics he needs. Like you expected before, you think others are looking for them. "

" Hmm. We need to find the ritual that hes trying to do. I know just who to go to. "

Conner gives me a pleading look. " Please no. "

" Why not. "

" Hes like that old man that goes beware all the time. "

" That's just with you. Honestly if you don't listen to him, you will become him. "

He groans. " I know. "
