Mysterious Luna Queen

Chapter Six

Pat stands his ground as he keeps an eye on the warriors and Alex. He trusts Aaliyah to watch his back for him. He can't believe he met his mate and now has to deal with a pup who wanted her for himself. There was no way Pat was going to let his mate be with someone else. He has waited almost 6 years to find her and will not lose her over something as silly as infatuation. He can tell that this Alex character has no love for his mate. He is just looking for someone who will do what is told. From what he has learned about the pack, he is happy his mate left them behind.

Alex paces back and forth looking for an opening, letting his anger get the best of him. Alex jumps at Pat going for his neck. Pat steps to the side and swipes across Alex's snout with his paw. Not wanting to let this go on much longer, Pat turns his gaze on Alex and lets a small growl before he latches onto Alex's front leg, shaking his head side to side. Alex yelps and tries to pull away but Pat's grip on him is too tight and he can't break free.

Aaliyah, watching the fight, realizes quickly that Alex and Pat's training is completely different. Pat looks to know what he is doing while Alex just jumps into action without any thought. Knowing the vast difference between the two, Aaliyah looks at her friends before stepping up, "Enough! Alex, GO HOME NOW!" Aaliyah says with all the power she has. She has never used a command as such before. All the surrounding wolves lower their heads.

Pat steps back, knowing that his mate didn't want any bloodshed. But he will always protect her from scum. Phasing back to his human form, Pat walks up to Aaliyah, keeping his eyes on Alex as he tries to fight the command.

Alex, not willing to give up, steps forwards to attack them again. This time, Aaliyah lets Queenie out to take over. Once the phase is over, everyone surrounding her bows as low as they can. Alex can't fight his wolf and lowers his head also.

Queenie stands at her full height, looking over the wolves surrounding her. Her eyes stop on Alex and she growls. "Do NOT come near my human again, future Alpha Alex. We are NOTHING to you. You have your own mate out there somewhere. I am NOT her. Even if you were my Goddess-given mate, I would reject you! How can you behave like you have the past few years and still think that everyone is supposed to be proud of you"?

Everyone looks at Queenie and is surprised. No one has ever heard of a talking wolf before. They couldn't believe the power she holds over all of them. Standing at her full height Queenie looks around at the warriors and Alex. "Go home, we will NOT be coming back with you. We have found our new home with our mate. We no longer need protection in your pack. Now LEAVE!" Queenie sends all the intruders away. Stepping back she phases back to Aaliyah giving her full control.

Aaliyah watches as Alex and his warriors run away. She knows this will not be the end of it, they will come back for more but she is ready for them. Once they get to Dark Savage she will talk to Pat about training with the warriors. She is ready to get fully up to date on everything she needs to learn. It is time for her to come out to the world as who she rightfully is. There are still many questions and concerns, she isn't sure how this will all work. Who knows anything about a wolf queen?

Pat walks up to Aaliyah and wraps his arms around her waist from behind, "Don't worry, my love. I will make sure he never bothers you again. I am glad you didn't agree to be his chosen mate. I have spent the past six years searching for you. I can't believe you were just a few miles away this whole time. I guess the Goddess knew you had things to deal with before meeting me." Pat leans his head down and sniffs her neck, holding her closer to him.

Aaliyah blushes and smiles, "This is Megan and Natalie, my closest friends and confidants. They were willing to follow me wherever I went. They are also looking for their mates as we knew none of the wolves at our old pack were them. I promised we would always stay together."

Pat nods his head at the ladies, "Its a pleasure to meet you both. My name is Patrick, most call me Pat. I am the alpha of Dark Savage. I would be happy for you both to join us as well. My pack has about 500 total members, we also help out rogues who haven't gone feral. So, ladies, we can stay here tonight or we can go back to my pack, which is only 10 miles north of here. Which do you prefer?"

Aaliyah, Meg, and Nat all look at each other and smile. "Let's go! I don't want to stay here, Alex could come back with more warriors. He has never been told no in his life and will do whatever he wants. His dad won't punish him for what has happened here and probably gave him permission to bring the warriors," Nat says while looking at Aaliyah.

"You are correct, Nat. We would be safe in a pack that he can't just walk into. I thought leaving the pack would give us freedom. I didn't expect him to follow us right away. I told him repeatedly that he wasn't my Goddess-given mate and that I didn't want to be his chosen. He seems not to hear me, when I am speaking to him. So I am okay with us going on to Dark Savage now. What do you think, Meg?" Aaliyah looks at Meg and smiles.

Meg glances around them before nodding her head in agreement. Having someone new with them has made her a little more shy than normal. The other two girls are used to it and don't think much of it. Pat smiles as he stares at his mate. He can't believe his luck! He finally found the one made for him. His elders had been pressuring him to find his mate or to take a chosen. He has kept himself for his mate for all these years. There was no way he was going to take some random female to become his mate. His parents were fated mates. They still love each other to this day, he can't wait to tell them that he found her, his one true love!

Aaliyah smiles, "Looks like we will be traveling to Dark Savage today. Lets grab our stuff and head out!"
