Mysterious Luna Queen

Chapter Seven

The girls walk into the cave to gather their belongings. Aaliyah can't help but taking sneaky looks at her mate. She can't believe she found him so soon. She hopes his pack is more forward-thinking. She doesn't want to have to fight for her fair share this time. Glancing out of the corner of her eye, Aaliyah catches the sight of Pat's striking green eyes. He seems to have been looking at her as well. His eyes seemed to draw her in, letting her feel his care for her. Smiling shyly, she grabs her things and walks back towards the entrance, stopping next to Pat. She looks up and realizes how tall and strong he looks. Just standing at ease he commands respect, nothing like Alex and his dad.

Pat, noticing Aaliyah's attention on him, smiles. He can't wait to introduce her to the pack. He finally found her, and she is perfect! Her eyes are a mesmerizing shade of blue, mixed with a hint of violet. Letting him know, she is more than capable than she realizes. He felt the power she held when the fight took place. He couldn't believe he was blessed to be her mate. He reaches out and slides his hand around hers, twining their fingers together.

Aaliyah glances at their hands and smiles at Pat, "I hope you won't think I am too much trouble. I honestly thought leaving the pack would mean some peace. I didn't think that he would follow us," she sighs, "I just want peace from him, I never thought about taking a chosen mate. I have only ever wanted my Goddess-given mate. I am grateful that she sent you to me." Aaliyah tightens her grip on his hand and smiles.

"I have been looking for you for six years. Many thought I should just take a chosen mate, but I saw what my parents have and wanted that for myself. I have kept myself for you, my mate. You are the only one who will ever be in my heart. I have fought to keep looking for you. Not wanting to give up my blessing, and you truly are the greatest blessing I have received in my life. My pack will be thrilled to learn of their Luna! I can't wait for you to meet everyone. I am sure they will love you," Pat releases her hand and hugs her protectively, "You don't have to worry about that pup anymore. I will keep him away from you, I will always keep you safe."

Aaliyah finally relaxes feeling his arms wrapped around her. She closes her eyes and just lets herself be for this moment in time. No one needed her to do anything. After a couple of deep breaths, she straightens up and smiles, "The girls should be ready, if you are ready to get back to your pack."

Pat laughs and grabs Aaliyah's bag, wrapping his arm around her waist he leads her towards the tree line, nodding at Meg and Nat before stepping into the woods. The girls follow behind as Pat leads them to his pack.

Pat glances at Aaliyah while the walk, "Is there anything you want to know about me pack? Any questions you have before we get there?"

Aaliyah smiles, grateful that he took time to make her comfortable, "Actually I do have some questions, does your pack allow women to train? Or are they relegated to cooking and cleaning?"

Pat stumbled when he heard her questions. Turning his head quickly, he checked all the women's faces and saw the same look. "Women can do anything they want to in our pack. It has been decades since I have even heard someone mentioning behavior like that. I encourage the females in my pack to at least take self-defense. They don't have to be well-rounded warriors, but I want them to know how to take care of themselves when they are outside the pack."

Aaliyah smiled brightly, "That was our biggest concern. We are tired of cooking and cleaning with no respect. We have always wanted to train and learn new things. "

"I will be happy to set up training for you ladies. I am sure my Gamma would love to have the honor of training his Luna. He goes to different gyms every so often to take different classes so he can teach everyone something new. He likes training more than most." Pat chuckles, he can't wait to see everyone's face when he gets home.

"I look forward to training. I have been doing some in secret, so I am not completely a beginner. I would sneak and watch the warriors, then practice by the lake at night," Aaliyah responds with a smile. She couldn't believe her old pack was the only one set in those ways. That makes this move even better. She won't have to fight for what should be a normal right for a werewolf. She looks back and smiles at Meg and Nat. They returned big smiles.

Pat looks around for his warriors as they start approaching his pack, sending out a mind-link, "I am crossing the boundary with your new Luna and a couple of friends."

Looking at the ladies, Pat smiled, "Welcome to Dark Savage Pack! We hope you enjoy being here with us!" Waving his hand ahead of him, guiding the women forward.

Aaliyah stops and Pat and gives him a kiss on his cheek, "Thank you. You have made this day one of the best days of my life. I am so happy to have met you today."

Pat places a hand on her lower back, leading her forward, "That goes both ways, precious. You have brought happiness into my life. Something I didn't realize was missing til now."
