Mysterious Luna Queen

Chapter Five

As they approach the cave where the other girls are waiting they hear voices. Aaliyah, concerned for her friends, picks up speed to get to the faster. She looks back at Pat, "My friends are up ahead, I don't know who else is with them. I thought we would be safe here for the night."

"It's okay, precious. we will keep them safe from all harm. if anyone touches them I will help you get your payback. We will protect our pack members at all costs!"

Taking a deep breath, Aaliyah smiles and nods her head. As they break through the tree line they see a group of wolves at the cave entrance. Recognizing the wolf in the lead, Aaliyah is shocked. She never expected him to follow them here.

Stepping forward, Aaliyah growls to get their attention on her and away from her friends. Knowing that phasing now would be a bad idea, she keeps her human form.

Nat and Megan try to edge closer to Aaliyah without attracting any unwanted attention. To keep the attention on herself, Aaliyah looks at the wolf in the lead, "Shift back so we can talk, Alex. We are no longer part of your pack so we cant mind link each other."

As Alex shifts back to his human form, Nat and Megan get behind Aaliyah. They plan to have her back if it becomes a fight between the two groups. looking at Pat, both girls are a little confused as to why he was so close to Aaliyah and where he came from.

"Aaliyah, how could you leave the pack?! You are supposed to be MY Luna. My father promised that when we were of age he wouldn't stand in my way. Then you just up and leave. Like nothing there was important to you. now you have to come back and take your place by my side," yells Alex. his face red with frustration.

A loud growl rumbles through the area, all eyes turning to Pat. "How dare you talk to MY mate like that! Do you have a death wish, pup? This beauty is ALL mine!! You need to remember your place when you speak to my Luna! You were right that her spot is to be Luna but not by your side, she will be the Luna of the Dark Savage pack," Pat replies with a growl to his voice.

Alex is stunned for a moment, his eyes looking all around. "How can that be? She grew up in my pack as an orphan. My father said she would be my Luna and take care of me and the pack. You can just reject her and let me take her back home," Alex turns his gaze to Aaliyah, " You wanted me before and now we can be together. You don't have to continue trying to get my attention."

Aaliyah rolls her eyes, knowing the fool is going to end up causing a fight between the two groups. Trying to keep the peace Aaliyah steps forward, "Alex, I have told you multiple times that I will NOT be a chosen mate. I only want the blessing the Goddess has given me. once I knew you weren't my mate, I was ready to leave your backwards pack. Just leave me alone. We will never be what you want us to be. Find your goddess given mate. She will be everything you need and want," Aaliyah slips her hand into Pats hand. Trying to calm him down.

Pat releases her hand and pulls her closer to his body with his arm around her waist. "You should thank Aaliyah. Without her being here I would've ended you. She is the greatest blessing I have received. I will NOT be rejecting her."

Alex, losing his patience, "She is mine!! She was in love with me before and is only mad cause I made sure she did her work and didn't slack off! Father said once I mark her we can take over the pack together. Get your filthy hands off her!" Shifting into his dirty brown wolf, Alex growls.

Pat glances at Aaliyah and smiles, "give me a few minutes, precious. Then we can move on from this distraction." Pat kisses Aaliyah cheek, making Alex growl louder, before shifting into his black wolf.

Pat steps in front of Aaliyah and growls at Alex. Seeing the size difference between the two, Aaliyah isn't concerned for Pat. She can tell that he is in better shape than the others.

Pat steps forward, staring down Alex's wolf. Alex falters for a moment feeling the power coming off the black wolf. He glances at the warriors with him. seeing as he has more people his cockiness out does his common sense.

Aaliyah looks around at the warriors, "Just remember if you step into this fight it will be your doom. I was never mated to Alex nor does he truly care about me. I left the pack to find my fated mate. I don't want to go back and be relegated as nothing again, all because I am a female. Please, do not make this worse than it already is.

The warriors look at one another before stepping back and allowing the challenge to happen. They all knew they didn't stand a chance against an Alpha of his power.
