Josh sat on the bench for the last part of the inning. Carl would have wanted him to play, but she trusted Caleb's judgment. She had to. He was the coach. She wasn't going to be one of those screaming mothers who took everything out on the coach. Besides, she would have to actually talk to Caleb if she did that. Josh ended up being spared embarrassment because she didn't want anything to do with Caleb. She probably should apologize for her outburst, but it was in her best interest to leave him be. She'd miss the s*x. It had been mind-blowing. She shrugged it off. The game finally ended with no Carl in sight. He'd promised to be here, but he wasn't. Nor had he texted her a reason why he wasn't.
