Amanda Lind decided to leave that man, her husband. Just as he wanted, she signed the divorce papers after a year of marriage.

“Sign the papers and f**k off,” Liam Vance said that morning.

Well, Amanda didn't hesitate and signed them. However, that night she went to the party with four handsome men, a singer, a top actor, a model and the new idol in the popular drama series. She walked as if she were their queen and those men her harem. Many people around her were blinded by her beauty.

"Amanda!"

“What do you want, Mr. Vance? Why do you call me by name? We don't know each other.”

"You are my wife!"

“Ex-wife, now…fuck off!”

Divorce
"Sign them and f**k off." Amanda noticed the papers with the title Divorce Contract on the heading. They were already filled with her name, Amanda Lind, and her husband's name, Liam Vance. She sighed. She knew that he would give her the divorce papers that day. It was supposed to happen that way in the novel. However, she felt a bit sad... maybe the feelings of the original host were hard to forget and repress. They stood like remnants in her mind. The man before her didn't mean anything to her. After all, she wasn't the same Amanda Lind he married a year ago. Unfortunately, that didn't mean that she didn't have to suffer the consequences. "Don't waste my time, sign it and leave my office." "Why are you doing this?" Amanda asked in a low voice. Tears were framing her eyes. "You know very well why." Amanda pursed her lips trying to contain her emotions. Though, in fact, it was all an act. She didn't feel anything for that man. Instead, she wanted to divorce him the moment she arrived in that world. "I did it because you didn't give me a choice," she said with a hurtful expression. "You kept meeting with that third-rate actress. Do you think I won't notice? You were cheating on me with her! I am your wife!" The cold man smirked. "You know we didn't marry for love, and we agreed from the beginning that we would live separate lives from each other. Don't give me that f*****g speech now." "Did you f**k her?" she asked with a crazed tone. “Did you have s*x with that woman?” Liam looked at her with a severe expression. "That doesn't concern you." "Did you do it? Tell me!" Amanda was becoming more agitated, but she needed that response from that man, or else she couldn't leave that place with a safety guarantee. "We never spent a night together, you never touched me, but I have never cheated on you! I was loyal and faithful, I..." "I don't care!" the man shouted with an irritated tone, "If I slept with Mina, it wouldn't have anything to do with you!" "So you did!" Amanda wiped her tears, "since when? Tell me, when did you start cheating on me with that woman?" "Does that even matter? We never have anything to do with each other!" "I was faithful!" "No one asked you to do that!" Amanda couldn't say another word and looked at him with an aggrieved expression. Though it was true, they never agreed to be faithful, the original Amanda always thought that he would notice how loyal and obedient she was in time. And, maybe, one day love her. What a waste of time and feelings. He wasn't worthy. "You are right, no one... asked me..." She wiped her tears and signed the divorce papers. Seeing that, Liam sighed in relief. That woman was becoming a pain. He couldn't stand another one of her stupid tantrums. Now that the term of the marriage contract had expired, he no longer needed to continue with that woman as his wife. It was exhausting. Amanda looked at the papers and got up from her seat. "Is there anything else, Mr. Vance?" Liam noticed the strange change in Amanda's attitude. Her blue eyes no longer seemed to feel pain or sadness, but a coldness he wasn't used to, materialized in front of him. "Mr. Vance, as you said, I don't want to waste time, tell me if there is anything else..." It seemed like she wanted to leave the place immediately. Liam certainly expected more of a fight from her. He even thought she would rip the papers in his face and throw another tantrum, then he would have to resort to threats to get her to sign the papers and the security to force her to leave. He didn't think it would be that simple. "I'll wire you the compensation money…" Liam told her with calm, though he was a bit shaken by her sudden attitude. "When?" Amanda asked with a dry tone. Liam frowned. "Are you that desperate?" "I just want to know when this will all end. I think you can transfer the money right away, right?" Amanda looked at him indifferently. "To tell you the truth, I don't want to keep in touch with you, Mr. Vance. Can you make the transfer right now? I won't ask for more. Tomorrow we can go sign the divorce certificate and that will be all." Liam felt that something was not right. The change in attitude was very sudden. He was afraid that this woman was planning something. He called his assistant, Adrian Brooks, and asked him to transfer $20 million to Amanda's account at the time. The woman waited with her heels hitting the floor impatiently. She crossed her arms and looked down at her phone to check the time. She had a strange look of annoyance. "It's done, Mr. Vance," Adrian announced. Amanda smiled at Adrian with a delicate and beautiful gesture, "thank you, Adrian." The man with caramel eyes and square glasses cleared his throat so that the blush would not show on his cheeks. That woman, although difficult to tolerate, was beautiful. Many thought she was a supermodel when they saw her pass through the office. "It’s my job, there is no need to thank me, Mrs. Van..." Amanda cut him off immediately. "Miss Lind, from now on I'll just be Amanda Lind, Adrian." "Y-yes, of course, Miss Lind." "Okay, have a good day, Adrian." Amanda turned and left the office without looking at the man who now had iceberg-cold eyes and an expression about to explode with fury. Adrian swallowed anxiously. "S-sir, I'll go to..." "I didn't know you were so close to my wife." Adrian shook his head for a moment but then stopped. Over the past year, he had had more contact with the boss's wife than anyone else. After all, Mr. Vance had blocked her from his contact list and never answered her messages or calls. He also did not attend appointments to have a meal with her, nor did he stay in the same house. So Adrian did think that his relationship with Mrs. Lind was close, almost friends. "Go back to work," Liam ordered coldly, "but keep an eye on that woman. I know she's up to something." "Yes, sir," Adrian paused before leaving, "there is something else... concerning Miss Mina Hunter." "What about her? Tell her that the contract is over, that I no longer require her services." "She has requested your help to go to the Actors Foundation gala event tonight." Liam narrowed his eyes. He remembered that event well and had no plans to attend with anyone. "No need," Liam continued. "I don't want any more rumors about her." Adrian nodded and left the office. Liam just stared at the divorce papers for a moment. He was finally free of that woman. He smiled, but his gut told him something was wrong. “Why did she sign so fast?”
