Chapter Eight Arria stood with a hand on the hilt of her flamberge as it rested in her scabbard. Wind blew her long white hair behind her as she studied the defenses of Guerettos. The previous few villages proved easy enough to defeat. She had placed a few of the Ikchani in charge, but she noticed the defenses of Guerettos were stronger than the others’. The village itself wasn’t built for defense against a full army in mind. Instead, it was built to protect itself from small raids.
