Chapter Seven
Taasheka sat by Starlyn’s bed, holding a leather-bound journal and quill. She carefully recorded notes regarding Starlyn’s meals, sleep schedule, and strength into the journal. She tried various mixtures of herbs but noticed a significant change when giving Starlyn dandelion leaves and yellowroot. The mixture got her thinking, and she tried giving her beans, spinach, and dried fruit. Taasheka at first though Starlyn’s illness was due to an iron deficiency. Starlyn’s improvement increased significantly, but not enough to blame her illness on an iron deficiency.
