Viero witnessed the wedding, recognizing the same captain of Legain she’d spent the night with over a decade ago. Marriage. Viero’s face twisted. This would make things a bit more challenging. Most kings weren’t faithful, but with him being a newlywed, to a kheshlar no less, it would make things difficult. She knew the kheshlar. Starlyn. She had betrayed the Ikchani, leaving them disarrayed, and run here to Legain. Why? To warn him? Viero crunched her lips together. No. There was more to it than that.
