Chapter 15

Colter and I have been in Paris for 2 months and it has been absolute bliss, sadly we have to head home today as the King has called for us and seeing as we are members of his court we cannot refuse. So, here we are packing our bags and checking out of our cherished room in the most magical place. The place he found his way back to me in.

“We can always come back mon amour.” Colter said as he set the last of our bags near the door.

“Can we just move here? Buy a beautiful chateau?” I asked him with a pouty face.

“I would like that but, we would need to get permission from the King.” Colter explained with an angry tone.

“What if we leave his court?” I asked.

“We can try. Have you sworn your loyalty to him yet?” He asked.

“No, I was supposed to after killing Hendrick, but I ended up just leaving.” I said.

“Well than you can leave. You don’t even have to accompany me.” He said with a serious face.

“I refuse to leave you.” I said in a stern tone.

“I am pleased to hear that.” He said before he came over hugging me. “Now we must be going.”

“If we have to.” I said walking towards the door.

We left the hotel and went to the airplane that was waiting for us on the tarmac. The dreaded plane that was to curry us home to the King who lied, who turned me for his own agenda. I was displeased with no plans to pledge my loyalty to such a corrupt man. It me sick to think of everything Colter has done for him, and he just throws it all away.

It was a fast flight home since we slept most of the way and then ate the remainder of the time. Colter had a driver waiting for us once we landed, the driver took our bags and loaded them into the car before we stepped off the plane, once we were in the car it was a little ways to the Palace, this part seemed to drag on for hours and hours and the dread grew and grew.

“Everything will be okay mon amour; we will be home soon.” Colter said clearly feeling the tension in me building.

“I just want to get in and out as quickly as possible my love, no longer than we need.” I said taking his hand.

“I know my Rose.” He said looking out of the window.

We pulled up to the Palace entryway where Cameron and Misty were waiting for us with egger faces. I cannot lie I was excited to see them there and I knew Cameron felt relief knowing his brother was still with us. We got out of the car and greeted our friends.

“Whatever happens brother I will follow you.” Cameron said.

“I hope it goes well my friend.” Colter said.

“As do I.” Cameron replied as the front door swung open.

“Please this way.” The King’s Butler said.

We all followed him into the King’s office. As we walked in we were greeted by Silla’s happy face and the King’s hopeful gaze. As soon as I saw his face anger raged inside of me.

“Thank you for joining us my friends.” The King said.

“You have no friends here.” I replied as I went to my mate’s side.

“I hope I can fix that and earn you and Colter’s forgiveness.” The King replied.

“Then explain why you did what you did.” I said.

“I do owe you an explanation, but I warn you this will not be what you want to hear.” The King said.

“We expect the truth.” Colter said.

“I did it for my own selfish reasons, I wanted him dead, but I was bound by tradition and law, your death and the pain your mate felt was the perfect opportunity.” The King explained.

“So, you took the ability of me turning my mate because of her love rather than her need to avenge a death that wasn’t true?” Colter said growing angrier.

“Yes, it was the only way.” He said.

“But it was not.” Cameron interjected.

“How so?” The King asked.

“You forget we have friends that have no binds to you, law or anyone else. All you had to do was hint at you’re want, I would have made it happen.” Cameron explained.

We all watched as the King’s face fell. “So, your telling me I ruined a friendship and took an opportunity for Rosalie for nothing?”

“Yes.” I growled.

“I am sorry. I thought this was the only way.” He said dropping his head.

“And you were fine with that, you were fine with losing your friend.” I stated.

“I was.” He confessed.

“What do you plan on doing now?” Colter asked.

“I want us to be where we were, but I know it will take time.” The King said. “And I am sure your mate will not pledge her loyalty to me now.”

“I will not.” I confirmed.

“As is your right.” Silla said looking at the King with a firm face.

“I will work for your forgiveness.” The King said.

“You will be working for a long time.” Colter said. “I would like leave from your court.”

“Me too.” Cameron said coming to Colter’s side.

“If that is what you wish.” The King said pulling a piece of paper from his desk.

We all watched as he wrote out a proclamation and then signed and stamped it with his royal seal. “You are free to stay or leave, but I do hope you stay.”

“We shall see.” Colter said taking the papers from his hands, handing one to Cameron and then reaching for my hand. “We will be departing now.”

With that we left the palace.

“May we come by this evening for supper?” Cameron asked.

“We would love to have you.” I smiled as I got into the car.

“See you this evening then.” Cam said with a smile.

Colter and I got into the car and went home, he had not been to our home in a few months, I wondered how he would react with the maid and butler fusing over him all of the time. The thought made me giggle gaining his attention. He gave me a questionable look making me laugh harder, he was going to be annoyed and it was going to be entertaining.

“What has you amused mon amour?” He asked with his eyebrow raised.

“Nothing of importance me love.” I said with another giggle.

“I will get it out of you one way or another.” He said with a look of challenge.

“Mm, I think not my love I have become stubborn in my change.” I wicked.

“We shall see.” He said with a hint of threat.

We soon pulled into our driveway and the maid butler stood outside of the door waiting for us. I opened the door and got out greeting them with hugs.

“We are so pleased you are home mistress.” The butler said.

“I am pleased to be home, was everything okay with my absence?” I asked.

“Yes, ma’am just lonely.” The maid said.

“Good, please let me introduce me mate Colter.” I said turning towards him.

“We are incredibly pleased you are still with us sir. Incredibly pleased.” The butler said.

“Thank you, I am happy to be home.” Colter said as he took my hand and led me inside straight up stairs to the bedroom, he swung me inside and shut the door locking it before turning towards me.

“I will ask you once more, what did you find so amusing mon amour?” He asked as he stocked towards me with lust filled eyes.

“Nothing much my love.” I giggled.

“You will regret this.” He said with a smirk.

Just as he was about to grab me someone knock lightly on the door causing him to growl and me to break out into laughter. He rolled his eyes at me and went to see who was there. He opened the door to find the maid standing there with our bags in hand and a smile across her face.

“I have your belongs sir.” She announced.

“Place them here.” Colter said gruffly clearly annoyed. “Please make sure no one bothers us until supper.” He said this with a forced smile. Causing me to laugh harder.

Once she left, he shut the door, locking it and then coming back to me standing so very close. He was unamused and annoyed just as I thought he would be. He is used to him and I in the house without extra people.

“What is so amusing?” He asked c*****g his head to the side.

“You are my love. I thought you would be annoyed, and you are it is amusing.” I giggled.

“You find my annoyance amusing?” He asked placing his hands to my hips.

“No, I find that me being right is amusing.” I admitted.

“You are a devilish women mon amour.” He said with a smile shaking his head. “And how I have missed it.”

“I missed you too my love, but we are home together now and that is how it will stay.” I replied.

“How do you feel about us possibly moving?” He asked me.

“Although the King is my least favorite person our lives are here, our family and friends are here. It would be cruel to leave them just when they got you back.” I replied.

“Always the voice of reason.” He smiled as he leaned in to kiss me.

His hands worked from my hips, one laying flat on my lower back the other holding my neck angling my head so he was able to deepen his kiss. Backing me into a wall he pushed his body agaisnt me, I could feel his shaft flexing and growing, straining agaisnt the fabric of his pants. Running my hands down his back around his thighs and finally to his shaft as it begged for release. I quickly unbuttoned his pants shoving them down as I caught his thick heavy fully grown shaft in my hand. He groaned into my mouth as I began working my hand back and forth pumping him, making his breathing heavier, until his need was to much. He picked me up wrapping my legs around him as he carried me to the bed. Dropping me down he ripped the clothing from my body before plunging into me with a hard stroke. I throw my head back and arched my chest from the bed as he filled me to the brim, his solid rough strokes working back and forth driving me to the edge of my climax. Lacing my fingers into his hair and gently tugging him to me, I kissed him. A deep needy desperate kiss, his released my hip with one hand, dragging his fingertips to my c**t as he started rubbing soft circles driving me further into oblivion. His pace and kiss became faster, more needy, more aggressive as my climax raked through me like a raging wildfire, consuming me in every way, as I squeezed his shaft, he joined me in an aggressive explosion collapsing on top of me.  

“I missed this.” He said as his breathing became even. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too my love. So very much.” I said wrapping my arms around him holding him close to my chest. 

“So, what shall we do not my love?” He asked me.

“Anything as long as we are together.” I replied with a smile.

“Here is to a new beginning for our very long life together.” He smiled leaning down to kiss me.

Rosalie and Colter will face so many new challenges, new members to their family and the lose of someone incredibly important to them in their second book “Chains of Love” .
