33 Kurt took a circuitous route back to his hideout, though he doubted anyone would have seen or noted him, and, as he had previously, left his car at the Asda a couple of streets away. He walked the rest of the way, before struggling through the growth that made the house such a good hiding place, at the expense of several new scratches on the exposed areas of his skin, which he ignored. The first thing he did upon reaching the bedroom where he had made his lair was take a bottle of cider from his supply and pop the top off.
