Coralanna Point was a town with enough myths and legends to fill an entire story book. But the most well known is the folktales concerning every son born with the Lancaster name. It couldn't possibly be a coincidence that every male in that family is gifted with an unearthly beauty that quiet literally mystifies all those around them.

It's whispered between pages of folklore that their family branch has siren blood running through it's veins. Absolutely absurd right?

Well, when Elizabeth Evans can't possibly imagine why the eldest of the Lancaster brothers in her highschool developed an interest in her out of the blue.

Chapter one :What the fuck?
"I heard they're related to sirens," Oliver whispered. "If they are that would be awesome," I replied while popping a peppermint into my mouth. Oliver rolled his eyes at me, "Do you take anything seriously?" I grinned at him before messing up his hair, "Of course I do. I take lots of things seriously! Like school and reading-" "And your undying love for, Ethan," he inserted unnecessarily. "I was gonna say writing. And could you be any louder? They're in earshot for God's sake!" I whispered. He chuckled at my flushed cheeks, "You're a horrible bestfriend, Oliver!" I grumbled before turning on my heel and hurrying down the hall. I heard his laughter till I rounded the corner. The rest of the morning was as bearable as a morning at school could be. Lunch time rolled around and I couldn't help but eavesdrop on the conversation between Julian Mayweather , the 'Queen Bee' of our school, and one of her minions were having before they left the classroom. "I'm gonna do it, Samantha! Today's the day I ask Ethan Lancaster out!" The blue eyed blonde, Samantha, chuckled nervously, "I really think you should set your sights on one of the younger Lancaster brothers. Ethan is....." the words died in her throat when Elijah, Ethan's twin strutted into class. He was speaking to the teacher but his eyes kept darting around the classroom. Elijah looked nothing like his twin with platinum blonde hair and bright blue eyes, they were both extremely good looking but in my opinion( unaffected by my little crush on his twin) Ethan was the better looking one. His eyes fell on me and he shot me the most dazzling smile. My heart raced. My face must have reflected how shocked I was because Elijah's face contorted into one of amusement. Samantha and Julian twisted their head around and pinned me with life threatening glares. I hurriedly stuffed all my books into my bag before calmly making my way out of class. I was by no means amazed that one of the Coralanna High's finest showed me the smallest amount of attention, but I was concerned that Julian, a girl known for her acts of cruelty, was now aware of my existence. Once upon a time she and I used to be bestfriends, but we started highschool and she choose the limelight over my friendship. She knew alot of secrets about my past and my family I could only hope that she wouldn't use them against me. Because even when a friendship ends it doesn't mean secrets aren't secrets anymore. I made my way to the library in search of a brunette named Emily. I occasionally write essays for money and she was a frequenting client. I knew I would get in a s**t load of trouble if I got caught but I really enjoyed writing and if I got paid to do it what's the harm? Of course I wrote to her vocabulary level I just upped it a bit. I waited in the non-fiction section just like all the time before when, "Hello, Elizabeth." I turned around ready to return the warm greeting when I realised who it was. Lorenzo Lancaster. Affectionately known as Lorie by his brothers and close friends. Lorie was the fourth child of Rosella and Brandon Lancaster. A triplet. Yes poor Mrs Lancaster went through two multiple pregnancies. That woman has one strong v****a. I blinked myself out of shock and greeted him back, "Hi, Lorenzo." Two Lancaster brothers acknowledged my existence in the span of twenty minutes. At this rate pigs might just fly. He beamed down at me, "How's your morning been?" I didn't really know what to say. I'd just come from three periods of absolute hell. Physics, Accounting and Biology. To be honest biology isn't bad it's rather interesting, the teacher is just a b***h. "It's been....fine I guess. And yours?" The boyish grin never left his face throughout our conversation, "Fascinating." Well...okay. "Lorie!" I heard someone growl. I glanced behind him to see Luca, one of Lorenzo's triplets. His green eyes shine with anger as he stormed towards us. I don't think he'd seen me because his fist stopped mid air when his eyes wandered in my direction. The fist that was about to hit Lorenzo's head fell to Luca's side and he scratched his head guiltily, "Hi." "Hi," I greeted back awkwardly. It was in that moment I decided Emily was going to write her own essay. She hadn't paid me as yet so I didn't really have much holding me to meeting her right now, besides if she really wanted to give it to me today we had geometry together after lunch. "It was nice..um chatting to you? Bye," I said before parting. As soon as I exited the library I face palmed 'why am I so socially awkward?' I asked mentally. I made my way to the courtyard hoping no one saw the cringe worthy exchange that occurred minutes ago. They probably think I'm weird now. Then again I can't really say I'm not weird. I walked to Oliver's and mines regular spot, a cluster on stone benches surrounded by a few trees. Our bench was one in the far back. I sat down enjoying the scent of the ocean. Corlanna High was strategically placed a good distance from the ocean and the forest, it was always wonderful being outside. The weather wasn't ever too extreme and that offered many tourists attractions. I rummaged around in my backpack until I found a kitkat and proceeded to tear open the packaging before biting into the chocolatey goodness. I let out a hum of appreciation just as Oliver sat down beside me. "I wish I could make you moan like that," he scoffed before stuffing his face with fries from the cafeteria. I laughed heartily at his comment, he and I had been bestfriends since seventh grade and we had long ago agreed that the thought of being more than friends was out of the question. We did like to crack a few dirty jokes here and there though. "I don't think that's possible for you, Mr Steele. You're the most vanilla looking guys I've ever laid my eyes on." He smirked, "Oh baby, don't let the innocent brown eyes fool you," he leant in and whispered next to me ear, "I can make you scream." I chortled, "Yeah, you keep wishing, Ollie." He chuckled along before stuffing more fries into his mouth. "Mum invited you over for dinner tonight," he said eyes glued to Kajal Singh, his unrequited love. "What time?" I asked snickering. "Sixish," he replied distractedly. I shook my head at him before letting my eyes sweep over the people infront of us. My eyes drifted over several easily forgettable people before stopping on him. Ethan Lancaster and company. He wore his uniform the same. Crystal white shirt neatly tucked in, blazer fitted perfectly, tie the most flawless length and his hair was combed to the side neatly. His sharp-enough-to-cut-diamond jaw was shaved, his enchanting green eyes were glaring daggers at..... I looked behind me trying to figure out who he was glaring at when I realised there was no one my eyes widened. Ethan Lancaster was looking at me as if he wanted to strangle me. Why the f**k were so many Lancaster brothers noticing me today? I bumped Oliver's shoulder with mine trying to get his attention, "Ollie?" "Hmmm?" He asked still staring at Kajal. "Oliver," I growled becoming impatient. His eyes snapped to mine, "What?" He mumbled. "Do you have any idea why Ethan is glaring at me?" Oliver went to look at Ethan to see if he was indeed glaring at me but I quickly grabbed his face in my hands, "Don't look!" "Too late, I looked. And I have no clue. He's pissed. Did you kick his puppy or something?" I scowled at my bestfriend before flicking his forehead, "You're as dumb as you look I swear." "You have no idea how badly I wish I could say that back to you." He chuckled. "Looks like lover boy is gonna get you back for kicking his puppy right now." Oliver said his eyes wandering above my head. If there was a heart rate monitor attached to me everyone would have known I just flatlined. I twisted my head behind me just to be certain Oliver wasn't bluffing. And sure as hell Ethan Lancaster was coming towards us, and the look on his face would have made a grown man piss his pants. Just as I readied myself to scramble off the stone bench he changed course and headed straight into the science block. His brother's trailing after him, each of them shooting me amused grins. "What the f**k?" Oliver and I whispered in unison.
