It was time to put my plan in action, so I pick my car key and head out to grand square. I and ashraf were suppose to go together but he isn't feeling well so I decided to go alone.

I arrived at my destination and saw halima standing by the parking lot, I approached her with a smile. Her face darkend immediately she saw me. 

"what are you doing here? Ashraf was supposed to meet me here." she fumed

"and why would he?" I stared at her 

"well truth be told i and ashraf got back together." th smug look on her face made me smile 

"is that so?" 

"yup, we chat, face time and meet up." 

I laugh out loud "you mean this chats" I flashed my phone in front of her face, She looked stunned and angry 

"what the hell is that?"

"see we figured that you would threaten him with your family connection, so we came up with a plan. He'll say he wants to get back with you and I'll use my number to chat with you thinking he's the one, and every time you face time him he comes to my place. your meetings were all part of our little plan, So I'm sorry to bust your little bubble but you were played."

"what makes you think I still can't use our family connections?" 

"because I and ashraf are getting married in two days, he's at your house as we speak giving your mom the invitations, so it's over halima, get a new guy. turned and walked away proudly, looks like our plan worked just fine, I smiled in satisfaction.

The house was so busy today, I mean my wedding is in a day, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with ashraf. And yes he is doing much better. I looked over at my outfits and text the girls to come over immediately to try Thiers on, of course they wasted no time in coming. 

Farida was the first to show up, followed by zainab then Amina and asma was the last. We sat there and discussed my day including what i did to halima. 

"omg you guys did that?" Amina cheered 

"yup I came up with the plan and he helped me with it." 

"lol she deserves it, I mean she shouldn't play with fire." Zainab commended 

"I'm happy you got rid of her because if you let her be she might bring trouble up in the future." farida commented 

"yeah yeah, I'm with you on that too." asma nod 

Kamu

Today was the kamu and i have to say I was super nervous, the girls did their best to calm me down though.

I was wearing a pink lace with blue, purple and brown combination With a huge bow at the right side of my shoulder. A swarovski dangling ear ring and a matching ring with bracelet. My make up was done and so we're my friends. 

I sat down answering messages form ashraf while my friends stole pictures of me.

As i got into the car all I thought about was how I've waited so long for this day, I couldn't help but feel proud of myself. I worked hard to get to where I am today, and hopefully I'm gonna be happy with the outcome of this marriage. 

We arrived at the venue and as we got out, I grabbed asma's hand so tight she screamed. "hey you are crushing my hand." 

"sorry I'm just nervous." I mumbled 

Ldon't worry, he'll make everything better." She replied nudging her head to the left, i turned to see ashraf in a sky blue kaftan,his matching cap and black Versace covered shoes with a Rado wrist watch. At that moment seeing his smile made my nervousness melt away, He walked up to me checking me out from head to toe, I gripped my clutch tighter. 

"I'm so lucky to have such a beautiful bride, you look gorgeous." he complimented 

"thank you, you look handsome as well.."

"well it's not something new." this cocky i***t! 

"ugh ya ashraf you are so full of your self." As a rolled her eyes, we all laugh. 

He slipped his hands into mine as we walk into the hall, all i could do was smile knowing this is one of the best days of my life. with a strong man by my side, i really hope this happiness last for a long time. 

The event was really nice, there were comedians who entertained us, I laughed a lot and so did ashraf. 

Everyone eat, drank And danced but i couldn't. I realized ashraf was in pain, he looked pale. I squeezed his hand to let him know that I'm right next to him and he's not alone in this. 

After the event we went back home, Our house was so full of guests. I and the girls shared my room, i slept off early due to how tired I was

DARREN AURE

The next day was the Dauren aure, I got dressed sitting in the room impatiently, I couldn't wait to be wedded to him, the girls kept teasing me but whatever. 

I was wearing a yellow atanfa with a touch of Brown and black, I firmly tied my head gear on my head and matched it with a simple dangling earring. Nothing too special before the Arabian night, my mind wondered to Halima, could she still cause trouble? but I have Ashraf so I'm sure he'll deal with her, I should try not to worry about her. I watched the girls jump up and down when Ashraf called to tell me that we were now officially married. I felt like crying remembering my mom, she would love to see this moment. I shake my head trying to get it off my mind, today is a happy day I should be happy, the thing I longed for the most is happening.

I got dressed for the Arabian night in a pink gown with a touch of dark green, it wasn't a really big event. it was his friends and mine and some of his colleagues who were the same age as I and his or a year or two older than us. I could see how well he got along with all of them and how much they respected him, some people sang some danced while we sat and conversed with others. this was a bachelor party and at the same time it was a bridal shower, we thought of calling it Arabian night because we weren't sure how to explain it to others and even if we did we weren't sure if they'd understand, oh well what matters is everyone was getting along and having fun.

I later changed into a red dress, black headgear and matching jewelries.

after few hours the event ended and we went back to our respective homes, my mind was somewhere else.

"hey what's up? you're a bit absent-minded." asma asked 

"yeah I noticed too, what's up?" Amina joined in 

"the whole time Ashraf wasn't feeling well, he was breathing heavy. I think he doesn't fell well, we should cancel the events." 

"you are right I noticed it too, but my brother wouldn't like that. he hates being pitied, he's independent so he doesn't like to rely on anyone. so just ignore it or else you guys might end up fighting" Asma advised 

"yeah, I know you might find it difficult to, but it looks like you have to if you don't want to get in a fight with your husband." Friday agreed 

she giggled at the word husband before placing her hand on my shoulder to comfort me.

DINNER

For the dinner I was wearing a red head gear, sky blue lace and matching jewelries. 

I nervously slipped my shoes on and made my way to the car, I entered the car to find Ashraf staring at me with his smiling eyes.

"what are you doing here "

"I wanted to surprise you, and I guess it worked by the look on your face"

"sure, how are you feeling?"

"I'm fine I'll survive so don't worry" I nod holding his hand and smiling at him.

we arrived at the venue and I got out, I could hear noises and murmurs from outside. we slowly made our way in and I cant help but admire the decorations. it was a huge hall with a chandelier in the middle, the light was dim and some additional color of lights like pink and purple were added to give it an interesting vibe. in the middle of each table a bouquet of beautiful flowers were placed, there was at least six chairs arranged on each of the circular tables with cutleries, plates and napkins for the food that was going to be served later on. assorted candles were lit up to make the whole place look brighter but more of elegant.

We ate drank and then speeches from friends and family. Farida, Amina and zainab came. 

"first of all i want to start off by welcoming and thanking you for making it tonight. I've known Areefa since we were kids, we wore matching clothes, bags and shoes, we grew up and then later on we met these two amazing friends of us." Farida spoke up first 

"I met Areefa in the school library, I was a bookworm with no friends. She would usually visit the Library and we said hi to each other in school. Then one day she just came up to me and asked if I wanted to hang out with her and her friend because being alone must suck. Since then we became so close, I don't see Areefa as a friend but lmore of a sister, and we all love her so much. Ashraf take care of her please." Amina smiled at me 

"the first day I met Areefa the first question I asked her is do you have 50 naira?" everyone laughed "she nod but instead gave me 100 telling me to keep the change probably thinking i'' some sad beggar so whenever she saw me she walks up to me and says hi, we've been friends since that faithful day. So one day she walk up to me screaming that she met this guy she likes a lot, and that's when ashraf stole her from us. She's a great soul and i wish her the best life can offer. And ashraf I've got my eyes I you" everyone laughed and Zainab's antics, They walked off the stage almost in tears, I'm pretty sure I almost cried too. Asma was next. 

"so I met this amazing girl on i********:, we just seem to hit off. We became friends instantly. We chat, call each other and face time. When she came back to Nigeria for holiday we always met up, Later on when my brother graduated he came back home talking about a girl he met. this girl was amazing but he lost her due to him being childish, while areefa was heartbroken for losing someone she loved too. Shortly after Areefa graduated she came back home, She attend my birthday few days after and that's when I realized she was the mysterious girl he was talking about and her him. Since then they've been together through thick and thin, Areefa is like a sister to me as well. I hope you both take care of each other. I love you guys." she concluded 

After the speech we sat down and watched people dance, I turn to look at ashraf and he was no where to be found. I hear the music mad over you by runtown play as he step on the dance floor with his friends dancing in sync. I watched as he walked up to me and drag me to the dance floor spinning me around and dancing to the music. Their choreography was really good, people cheered while I watched in awe, I never knew he could dance so well.

After the dinner I went back home to change as the car waited outside for me to finally start my own life, in my own house. I said my Goodbye to Aunty, my dad and troublesome brother who couldn't stop staring at asma. 

After a 30 minutes drive, I arrived at my house, saying it makes me happy and slightly sad that I wasn't a child anymore but a grown up. I went in with my friends as few relatives of mine followed while i closed my face with a huge veil. I sat in the living room and not long after ashraf came in. He sat next to me while our aunts advised us on how to be good to each other. I proceed to the room with my friends, the house was an average sized home, just how I like it. It was a 4 bedroom flat, with a huge living room and kitchen. A laundry room, study and a garage just outside the house.

After our friends left we sat In awkward silence just staring at each other... "well this is awkward" He mumbled 

"are you just realizing it?"

"how do you like our new home Mrs Munir?"

"as long as you are in it, it's heaven."

"you're right, all that matters is we're happy. Let's start a life that everyone will envy, I promise you I'll love you with all my heart and I'll try to be the best husband and future father anyone could wish for." He pull me into a warm hug. 

I couldn't help but smile "let's do that, I love you ashraf"
