The man who saved me
Velvet felt very hot and dizzy. She had a strong desire to release something, but she couldn’t tell what.
She remembered drinking only one glass of wine, but after that one glass, she suddenly started feeling really hot.
“How can one glass make me feel this way?” she muttered.
She splashed cool water on her face, still trying to steady herself in the bathroom, when the door swung open. Mitchell walked in with her two minions.
“How are you feeling, Velvet? Do you feel hot?” she asked in a mocking tone as her friends giggled.
‘What? Did she put something in my drink?’ she thought.
“What did you put in my drink?” Velvet asked, lifting her head to look at her.
“I warned you not to mess with me,” Mitchell snapped, yanking Velvet by the hair. “I told you to reject the offer, but you accepted it anyway. Now you’re going to face the consequences.”
Before Velvet could react, Mitchell grabbed her arm and dragged her toward the door.
‘Oh no… what is she going to do to me?’
Velvet thought as she was dragged out of the bathroom.
They avoided the hall where the party was still going on and secretly pulled her to the hotel lobby.
At this point, Velvet’s vision had turned blurry, and she felt the world around her spinning. Then one of Mitchell’s friends hissed, “s**t, someone’s coming this way.”
Velvet slowly lifted her head to see a tall man approaching them. He was accompanied by two other men, whom she assumed were his bodyguards because of their huge size.
“Act natural,” Mitchell muttered under her breath. “If they ask, say we’re taking her to a room because she’s drunk.”
Velvet’s heart pounded as the men drew closer.
The man looked in their direction. His eyes lingered on Velvet for a brief moment, but before he could walk past them, Velvet forcefully pulled away from Mitchell’s grip and quickly wrapped her arms around him, making him gasp in surprise.
His bodyguards reacted quickly and tried to pull her away from him, but her grip was surprisingly strong.
“Please help me,” she cried. “Don’t let them take me away.”
The lobby seemed to fall silent as her words hung in the air.
“We’re sorry, sir,” Mitchell said quickly, forcing a smile as she reached for Velvet. “Our friend is very drunk. That’s why she’s acting like this.”
“No, stay away from me!” Velvet cried, tightening her grip around the man.
Mitchell tried to pull her again, but the man stopped her in her tracks.
“I believe,” the man said calmly in his deep voice, “she just made it clear she doesn’t want to go with you.”
His sharp gaze pinned Mitchell and her friends in place.
Gently but firmly, he wrapped an arm around Velvet and guided her away. His bodyguards followed behind them as they headed toward the elevator, leaving the lobby and a seething Mitchell behind.
Her plan had failed.
When they got to his room, he pulled her hands off him, but Velvet still didn’t let go.
“Get your hands off me, young lady,” he said firmly.
But Velvet shook her head. She was still so hot, and hugging him like this felt so good, really good.
‘Maybe he can help me release this burning sensation,’ she thought.
“I’m not going to repeat myself,” he growled.
Slowly, Velvet lifted her head to look at him.
When he finally saw her face, he was speechless. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Her features were soft yet striking, deep blue glassy eyes framed by curled lashes, full pink lips slightly parted as if begging to be kissed. But it wasn’t only her beauty that left him speechless.
It was the way she looked at him.
She looked at him with seductive eyes, like she was about to eat him whole.
That was when it clicked.
She had been drugged.
Velvet, on the other hand, focused her attention on his lips. She wondered if kissing him would make the burning sensation go away. If hugging him felt this good, what would kissing him feel like? Without a second thought, she crashed her lips against his and gently sucked on them.
He pulled her away from him and pushed her onto the bed, but because of her tight grip on him, she pulled him down with her.
Seizing the opportunity, Velvet climbed on top of him and kissed him again. This time, she caressed his chest.
“Stop,” the man said sharply, gripping her shoulders and pushing her back just enough to create distance. “You’ve been drugged. You need to control yourself.”
He knew how those types of drugs worked. They created an intense desire for s*x and could cause indescribable pain if the person didn’t get relief. He stood up, pulled his phone from his pocket, and dialed a number.
“Yes, boss?” came a voice from the other end.
“I need you to get me the antidote for the s*x drug,” he said, mentioning the name of the drug.
“We sold all of it yesterday, sir. The next batch will arrive in three days.”
“s**t!” He had forgotten about that.
He looked at the woman on the bed, who seemed to be trying to tear her clothes off.
“Get the car ready. I’ll be down in a few minutes,” he grunted, ending the call.
He walked toward her and quickly fixed her clothes before carrying her out of the room to the underground parking lot.
Velvet seemed to be in another world as she derived pleasure from kissing and sucking on his neck, pushing him to the edge.
The elevator doors slid open, and his convoy came into view. His men were all standing there, and one of them stepped forward to open the car door. He moved without hesitation, gently guiding Velvet as they entered the car.
“Drive to the hospital,” he ordered, and the driver hit the road.
“Please… please make it stop. It hurts,” Velvet sobbed as she clung to him, clearly in pain.
“Sir, I think you need to help her,” Leo, his right-hand man, said from the front seat.
“Shut up, Leo. I know that,” he grunted before turning his full attention back to the woman straddling him.
He gently pulled her head away from his neck, forcing her to look at him.
“Shhh… it’s okay,” he murmured, gently resting his forehead against hers as his eyes searched hers.
“Does it hurt?” he asked softly.
She nodded weakly, like a child.
“I’ll make you feel better,” he whispered. The next moment, his lips were on hers.
He gently flipped her over, making her lie on the car seat. He caressed her body from her hips up to her breasts, giving them a light squeeze and earning a moan from her. He pulled the strap of her gown aside, bared her chest, and began sucking on her skin.
Velvet gasped and arched her back, giving him full access. He used one hand to massage her other breast while his free hand trailed between her legs, caressing her through her panties. Velvet moaned and moved her hips to his rhythm.
God, she felt so good.
Her hands gripped his hair, pulling him impossibly closer to her. He moved her panties aside and caressed her intimately. He groaned at how wet she was for him before gently touching her more firmly, earning a loud cry from her.
“Oh, please don’t stop,” she begged.
Both men in the front didn’t dare look back, or their boss would definitely feed them to the wolves.
“Step on the pedal, you i***t,” Leo grunted at the driver, who immediately increased the car’s speed.
Not long after, they arrived at the hospital, but their boss seemed lost in pleasure. At that point, he was about to go further when Leo spoke, stopping him in his tracks.
“We’ve arrived, sir,” Leo said, quickly getting out of the car along with the driver and giving them enough space to get dressed.
He rested his head against her shoulder blade, taking long breaths as he tried to calm himself down.
A few minutes later, he stepped out of the car with Velvet in his arms and walked straight into the hospital. After admitting her and making sure she was finally okay, he left.
Inside the car, Leo looked at his boss through the rearview mirror. He seemed to be in a really bad mood.
“I want all the information about that lady on my desk tomorrow. Also, bring those girls responsible for this to me,” he grunted.
“Yes, sir.”
He would definitely make them pay.

The next day, Velvet opened her eyes, and the first faces she saw were her manager, Paige, and her assistant, Ava, hovering anxiously over her bed.
“She’s awake.”
“How are you feeling?” Paige asked as she sat upright.
Velvet didn’t answer. Instead, she burst into tears. The memory of yesterday came rushing back like a flood. She couldn’t believe Mitchell had wanted to have her r***d. If not for that man who stepped in, everything would have been so much worse.
“Shhh… it’s okay. We’re here for you,” Paige murmured, pulling her into a hug.
“I hate that girl, Mitchell,” Ava grunted bitterly. “Even in death, she still pisses me off.”
Velvet froze.
“Even in death?” she asked, sniffing. “What do you mean… ‘even in death’?”
Paige and Ava exchanged looks.
“Oh,” Ava said quietly, “you didn’t hear…”
“Mitchell and her friends…” Ava hesitated. “They were found dead this morning.”
“What?”
