Tonia was eating cornflakes while watching an American movie on her television. She was fascinated in the film until an actress sought the assistance of a magician. As she watched with bated breath, a notion occurred to her. She reasoned that she might have to go to one herself. The pressure she had been under had dissipated as soon as she dialed the phone number. It was only a day before the two-week deadline, and she felt completely at peace. She giggled at the amusing spectacle on the television and returned her attention to the film.
Her attention was drawn away from the TV by the ringing of her phone, which she picked up while still hooked to it. She lost all interest in the movie after one glimpse at the caller's ID. Mike had promised to contact the day before yesterday
