Tonia's phone rang, and she dashed over to answer it. It was a concealed number, and only one person could have called it.

Over the phone, she heard, "Would you shut up?" She went completely still. She didn't think she'd hear that voice again. She should have died, but she was saved by sheer chance and bravery. She shuddered a little.
