Brianna could barely see due to the flashlights from different places, making her dizzy but she was loving it so much. She has never been to a club and was tempted to follow her friends to a party. Too much for a billionaire’s daughter right? She was quite a responsible one. High school fuss wasn’t her thing. Brianna was passionate about other things like school debates and writing books for the community library. She loved her dad so much because it was both of them against the world. ‘’I’m loving it here girl,’’ Brianna whispered barely heard words into her friend’s ears that she was enjoying her first day at a party. Nora was happy not for anything but that her friend was actually enjoying what she called a bummer. ‘’I’ll go see some of my homegirls, you chill here ok?’’ Nora told Anna as she excused herself to meet other fancy girls at the bar. Anna as she was often called was in her second tequila shot and she was in her best mood…Nothing could be better. ‘’Look who we have here’’ came Kitty, another girl from Anna’s class, quite the opposite of Anna and always saw her as a threat to her while Anna never had much time. ‘’What you doing here?’’ She asked Anna who was struggling to breathe due to the fur from Kitty’s luxurious fur gown that was giving Barbie. Of course, she was obsessed with pink, glitter and FUR….Anna is asthmatic! The f**k!!! ‘’I’m obviously here for the party, which I find so much fun’’Anna uttered with difficulty. She was trying not to sound like a nerd…Which she obviously was! ‘’Give me a minute’’ came Anna as she stormed out of the party hall. Damn, not another crisis! ‘’Where’d she go’’ asked Nora when she came back to the spot she had left Anna, Kitty gave a sigh in disgust and walked out on her. Nora cared less because she saw Anna getting lit and maybe had met new friends and is probably having the best time of her life. Anna found her way out of the hall and was finding it hard to breathe, she inhaled and exhaled sharply. Reaching the exit door she could barely see as everything blurred slowly, she only felt a masculine touch holding her from hitting her head from God knows what! ‘’Miss, are you ok?’’ Austin said repeatedly while shuddering her to agitate. Anna was far gone. Austin had come out to get some air and he was going to go to the bathroom too but couldn’t seem to find it. Not being a man of the crowd he made use of the opportunity to leave the party. Austin tried calling for help but everyone seemed so busy with the party. He carried her to a safe spot and tried reviving her with the ABC method thinking maybe she was having a hangover. Anna was so excited that she was going to a party for the first time and had probably forgotten her inhaler on her dresser. She just needed a break from people and fur to get herself but Austin was already scared to death…He wondered where his manly nature was as he panicked for a while. Back in the hall, Nora who had never been drunk was already drunk and had forgotten she came with a newbie. Nora is a b***h when she’s drunk. She wailed and cried to herself cursing every single person that passed by. ‘’Ain’t you an i***t, scum bag’’ She kept saying those words like she just had a bad day and slowly lay on the bamboo bench at one corner of the hall which was obviously made for lovers. After what seemed like forever which was only about 30 minutes of Austin sitting on the bare floor and leaning on a tree in the yard and having Anna in his arms, Anna finally got herself, her eyes opened still bleak but she could decipher what was going on which was that Austin fell asleep. ‘’Why was Anna here?’’ ‘’Who was she here with’’ were the thoughts going on in his head because Anna wasn’t the life of the party meaning that she came with someone. This he thought as he dozed off. ‘’Why am I here?’’ Anna asked no one in particular twice as she tried to free herself from his hard yet warm hand. ‘’I think you passed out’’Austin was barely 18 but his voice was already so deep and cold. ‘’Then how did you find me?’’ She turned and look at him with a glare. ‘’I found you at the doorway’’ too many questions rather than gratitude, Austin thought He still didn’t know why he was being so nice, He knew Anna from Spanish class but they never spoke to each other. ‘’Come join us’’ Mia an i********: girly beckoned on Kitty to come sit with them at a table looking very reserved for high class. Kitty wasn’t from a very rich home but she doesn’t like to be pushed around either by some spoilt billionaire kids, she made her way to popularity through much work and effort so she wasn’t ready to be intimidated by them. ‘’I love the fur jacket’’ said Claire a girl from the group who seemed like the leader. Kitty could read the sarcasm in her voice as she tried not to react in any awkward way. ‘’Thanks, I got them from Louis Vuitton’’she lied. ‘’Oh! Nice, the furs are beautiful’’ Claire said to Kitty as Kitty made her way to the bar. ‘’I don’t like her’’ Tylor said to Claire and Mia who nodded in agreement almost immediately. ‘’There’s this thing about her, I can’t place it but she looks so fake because I don’t even know her parents from the Parents Board meeting’’ Claire said with a grin on her face. *********************** ‘’I don’t usually have crisis, this is the first time this summer’’ Anna was trying to explain to Austin. ‘’And this is the first time I’ve spoken to you directly’’ Austin said looking into her eyes. Anna felt a deep connection as though they had known each other for ages. There were both caught in the moment. Austin’s eyes filled with care and energy meeting Anna’s innocent yet dazzling eyes. His hands slowly caressed her face, she closed her eyes then she felt peace in her heart and tenderness on her lips. Austin kissed her slowly with unusual warmth and affection. Anna was almost lost in the fantasy of the moment but softly pushed Austin away. ‘’We shouldn’t be doing this, I don’t know who you are’’ Anna said getting up to leave. ‘’I’m so sorry, Eh, I didn’t mean to kiss you without your consent. Austin for the very first time was struggling with words. ‘’This never happened’’Anna said and stormed out of the garden to the hall to find Nora. As she entered the hall, It was emptier than when she left, some kids were making out almost in every corner probably drunk but she was certain that she wasn’t drunk when she shared a nice kiss with that guy she didn’t even know his name! This was the first time she was feeling lost because Anna was the type to always be in charge of herself. ‘’Here you are’’ Anna said rushing Nora where she had lain for over an hour. She was wasted on alcohol! She quickly shuddered to get her on her feet…She brought out her phone from a little handbag hanging on her shoulder and dialled a number on it. ‘’What a crazy night’’ she thought to herself ‘’Yes we are ready to go’’ she told her driver who was waiting for them at the parking lot. ‘’I’ll be there soon Ma’am’’ came an old man’s voice over the other end of the line. Anna made Nora stand to her feet and placed her hands on her shoulder making their way to the door. Nora muttered words that she could barely understand. Outside was a matte black Tesla, the front door opened and a man in his mid fifties came down and walked to them and helped her take Nora to the backseat, she followed them and they zoomed off. They got to the gate of a magnificent building which was Nora’s house. They took her in. ‘’Good evening Ma’’ Anna said to the woman who was the housekeeper ‘’Thank you for bringing her the housekeeper said. ‘’You’re welcome’’Anna said as they left the building.
