The Elemental Goddesss

Chapter 2

Dalawang linggo na since nakilala ko si Kenta at yung pag-ano ko... Yung, para akong naghahyper ventilate? Yun ba. Hindi ko talaga malaman ang dahilan kung bakit ako nagkaganoon. Wala naman akong sakit para mag hyper ventilate ako. It’s really weird.

Naglalakad ako ngayon patungong office dahil pinatawag ako ni Mr. Watson. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako pinatawag ngunit ito ang pang dalawampung beses na nya ako pinatawag. Baka nagagandahan siya sa akin? Joke, baka tanggalin ako ni Mr. Watson sa pagiging disciplinary committee president ko.

At dahil magalang ako na bata, I knocked first before I open the door.  Narinig kong sinabi ni Sir na 'come in' kaya naman ay pumasok na ako. alangan naman di ako pumasok, di’ba?

"Ahh, Ms. Celestina. There you are! Please sit down." Tumango ako at umupo. May kinuha siya mula sa kanyang drawer at inabot sa akin. It looks weird. Ang papel or rather, envelope na hawak hawak ko ngayon ay may holden hue with lightings. Literal na gumuglow siya kung maiilawan siya.

"That is a letter for you." My brows met. The hell with this letter? And who in the hell would send me a freakingly gorgeous letter after the first day of school started? 

"Alam kong naguguluhan ka ngunit may kakaiba sa'yo, Sapphire. And trust me when I say it's dangerous." Tumaas ang kaliwa kong kilay at nag-antay sa kanyang susunod na sasabihin. What makes me dangerous? My beauty? Char! I know I am beautiful.

"You have special abilities, as well as I. Me and, Ms. Rockwell knows it too. Your auntie or whatsoever do you call her. And please, takpan mo yung baba mo. Baka pasukan ng lamok yan." Agad kong isinara ang baba ko. That was embarassing as hell...

Binuksan ko ang envelope at binasa ang nakatuping papel sa loob. Kuryoso kong binasa ang letter at agad na kumunot ang noo ko sa aking nabasa.

Dear Ms. Sapphire Iris Celestina, 

    Congratulations! You are a student now in Light Academy of Magic. We have observed your performances and were glad to say that, you got the highest grade level of the fifty students that we have observed. We hope you will accept this offer. This is a good chance for you! Only exclusive students are enrolled in our school. 

    It's your choice or not. But we are expecting you here in our school. 

       The due of this letter after it's seventh day. This letter will serve as your pass card. After the seventh day, this will vanish into thin air.

I looked up at Mr. Watson. He was smiling at me but I remained emotionless. I dropped the letter on the table. It doesn’t make any sense. How could that possibly be? Is this even real? If so, I don’t believe it. I can’t believe it!

Tumayo ako at tumalikod na din. Naglakad ako papalayo at umalis na. Pero bago pa ako makaalis, I stopped. I turned around once more at humarap kay Mr. Watson.

"I don't believe you, Keireyl." I said in a threatening voice. I just think that that letter is a prank and what Mr. Watson said is also a prank.

Pabagsak akong umupo sa aking kama. Mariin kong ipinikit ang mata ko ng maalala ang pangyayari kani-kanina lang. This life is getting harder and harder. Noon simple lang ang buhay. Ngayon? It’s f*****g complicated. 

Sumakit ang ulo ko kaya napamura ako ng malutong. 

"f**k this s**t. Kailangan ko ng shower."

...

Tapos na akong maligo at magbihis. Hindi ko man lang namalayan ang oras. Alas sais na ng gabi at halos lahat ng bahay sa subdivision ay may ilaw na. Sigurado akong masayang naghahapunan ang mga kapitbahay namin. Tsk. 

"Saffie? Are you finished bathing?" Oh, andito na pala si Auntie. Di ko man lang siya namalayan na pumasok sa kwarto ko. Am I that zoned out?

"Wait lang po! Bababa na po!" Ni hindi ko na inabala ang pagsuklay ng buhok ko. Tumakbo ako pababa ng hagdan. 

"Oh! Halika na! Kumain na tayo. I cooked your favorite food." She smiled at me. 

I nodded in response. Crap, naalala ko na naman ang sinabi ni Mr. Watson. Hindi talaga ako makapaniwala na mayroon akong ability kuno at pati na si Auntie at Mr. Watson. Iniisip ko lang na baka prank lng ‘yun na staged ni Mr. Watson. Pero hindi naman prankster si Mr. Watson sa ala-ala ko. And why did he damay Auntie? Okay ang conyo ko.

"Auntie, by any chance, do we humans have special abilities? I mean..." Tinitigan nya ako. I saw a hint of suspicion in her eyes. Napayuko ako. Baka sabihin ni Auntie na ang weirdo ko. 

"Is it about the letter that you received earlier today?" Nasurpresa ako. Pero papaano niya nalaman ang tungkol sa letter na aking natanggap? Mukhang pinagsabihan na sya ni Mr. Watson. After all, sya pa rin naman ang guardian ko. 

"Oo. Sabi ni Mr. Watson ay may special ability daw ako pero hindi ko yun maintindihan. Then this letter came and sinabihan ko si Keireyl na hindi ako naniniwala sa kanya." 

Napabuntong hininga sya. Sinabihan nya akong tapusin ang pagkain ko at doon na daw kami mag-uusap sa sala. Mukhang seryoso itong pag-uusapan namin.

... 

Tapos na kaming kumain at nakatitig lang ako kay Auntie ngayon.  Masyado yatang seryoso ang bagay na ito at kailangan pang ipagpaliban ni Auntie ang flight nya patungong Rome para sa isang social gathering mamaya. Social si Auntie, may pa-social gathering pa. Sana all. 

"We are not ordinary people, Sapphire." Panimula ni Auntie. 

"We are extraordinary." Patuloy lang akong nakinig sa kanya. 

"Noong 3000 years ago, a group of people were discovered. There were seven of them. Three girls and three boys. How ever, they were imprisoned at the Bermuda triangle for being out of the ordinary." Kumunot ang noo ko. What is this all about? That’s way too ancient for me. I mean, 3000 years ago? That’s freaking insane.

"Instead of feeling hatred to the ones who imprisoned them, they felt pity on them. Years passed at nawawalan na sila ng makakain. That's when it all happens.  Fero, the God of Fire, got annoyed dahil nag-aagawan na sila ng pagkain. So he decided na lumabas ng Bermuda triangle." Bermuda triangle? Really? In the pacific ocean? Oh, wait, maybe it's Arctic ocean? Ugh, sorry about that. I suck at Geography. I maybe good in Science but not in Geography. I suck at it. Maybe I inherited it from my mom whom I never knew. Or my father whom I also didn’t knew.

"He and Lani the goddess of light, spent a week just to create a portal. Fero used his ability, specifically, the Fire, and Lani used her ability, Light, to be merged with the ability of Fero.  With this combination, they successfully created a portal by using the Hearth."  That sounds creepy... Right?

"They arrived at a different world. Nagtaka sila noong una ng hindi ma-weirduhan ang mga mamamayan sa mundong ito. At dito na din nila nalaman na may kapareho sila. Masaya sila dahil hindi na sila outcast. Marami silang naging kaibigan." Okay? Ano to? Talambuhay ng pitong na taong wala naman akong pakealam? Tsaka paano naman niya nalaman lahat ng ‘yan?

"Nalaman nila na sila ay mga Emperor at Empress ng dimension. They were trained like a military. Ngunit hindi sila sumuko. They pursued the military training. Until they got what they wanted. 

Hinirang sila bilang mga empress at emperor ngunit may tumutol dito. At dyan lahat nag-away."

"Ability is a power, Sapphire. May anim na elemento ang mayroon sa mundong ito. Ngunit sa paglipas ng panahon, dahil sa mga cross-breeding, ay nagkaroon ng mga elementong bago. Katulad na lang ng Kidlat at Ice. Lightning is produced when a fire ability holder and an air ability holder will be one. At nadagdag iyon sa mga Gods and Goddess na silang Fero and company."

"May tinatawag din tayong mga Gods and Goddesses. Kapareho ng Greek Mythology, may maraming Gods ang nag-bigay ng mga gantimpala sa mga matulad natin na ability holder."

"May anim na elemento at bawat elemento ay may kanya-kanyang Gods. Fero, the God of Fire, Lani the Goddess of Light, Aires, the Goddess of Air, Terron, the God of Earth, Helion,  the God of Dark and Tetra, the Goddess of Water."  Wow. Just wow. Nasaan nga yung pake ko? Kumawala kasi sa akin habang nakikinig ako eh. I really don’t want to be in this mess. I just felt that this will be a huge mess in my life. 

"I don't believe you. Really? D'you expect me to believe this crap in just a moment after you explained it?! That's insanely insane!" Kumunot ang noo ni Auntie at tumayo. Inilahad nya ang palad nya. Ano naman ang gagawin ko dyan? Anong gagawin niya?

And then a tiny lightning suddenly emerged from Auntie’s hand. It danced and swirled around before it evaporated into thin air.

Woah. Paano nya yun nagawa?! 

"See? I can control lightning on my hand, sweetie." Sabi nya habang nakangisi. Yung lightning ay parang boltahe na gumagapang sa palad ni Auntie!
