Author's note Hey guys so this is one book i have really wanted to published for a while but i have been holding back but not anymore. Marcus was beginning to think his mom was leaving him he started crying but before he could say something she pushed him inside and locked the door. she quickly broke the door handle so no one could get in, the funny thing was Marcus could see them but they couldn't see him he watched them beat her up, he saw them tying her to a chair and leaving small cuts on her body. he watched her scream and cry but he couldn't do anything but just watch and cry. he watched not taking his eyes off them even for a second as they ransacked the whole office probably looking for what he was holding, he wanted to scream and give it to them so they could leave his mom alone, but then he remembered his mother's word "if u try to c*m back they will do to you what they did to me". he was a smart boy. he knew if they was a way for his mother to avoid it she would have. she loved him and would do anything for him, so for her to not want him to see this or for her to go through this only means one thing. she couldn't have avoided it. they kept torturing her and he couldn't stop crying. he saw how bruised her whole body was, her lips were bursted, her head was bleeding he just couldn't take it anymore he swore he would get revenge for this. as he was about to leave he saw a figure he knows all too well. it was his mother's best friend. he couldn't hear what they were saying. he suddenly remembered all the disagreement she has been having with his mother for a while now, they were always shouting and throwing things at each other but they were best friends right?? then why would she want to kill her best friend?? he watched them closely and now he could guess they were looking for him. though he couldn't hear her he could understand some of the things they were saying by reading their lips. after searching everywhere they still couldn't find him. he saw them continuously hitting his mother's head with a bat till she gave up the ghost. that's when screamed and woke up. Attorney Marcus witnessed his mother being killed at a very young age, knowing who killed his mother and their plans he returns to the same city 12 years later to do a clean up of the city with the help of attorney Rose and her twin brother who also lost their parents at the of same people. secrets will unfold, life's will be lost, love will be found, families will be reunited. but will he be able to quench the fire without getting burnt ??
