Chapter 16

One by one everyone completed their round. Losers were put on one side and winners on the other. Because Alayna was matched up with Naomi she guessed that they were going to go last. Alayna kept stretching and making sure she was ready. She really didn’t want to serve Naomi tonight, she would never live it down.

Finally the time came. Alayna and Naomi stepped into ring and faced off. Alayna knew to stay calm, stand her ground and not attack first. That kind of emotion gets people in trouble, she learned that when her Uncle picked another little girl that was only 8 at the time and it was her first night there. Alayna attacked him with the lamp. He saw her coming and slammed her against the door jam. Her head was busted and she lost consciousness. She never saw that little girl again after that.

“ What, are you scared little girl? “ Naomi was trying to bait her. “ When you are serving me I’ll make you lick my boots. Then everyone will see how pathetic you really are. Even your real parents couldn’t stand you, I’m sure that’s why you ended up in the foster system huh? “ Naomi said with a sneer. The ring was large enough and Naomi was talking low enough that no one heard her.

Alayna was pissed off but she wouldn’t let it show. “ From where I stand it looks like you got the short end of the stick, not me. “ Alayna said calmly keeping an eye on Naomi’s hands, feet and eye movements waiting for her to make her move. Naomi’s eyes flashed to something behind Alayna but Alayna didn’t react, just waited. She could see that Naomi was starting to get frustrated with her not making the first move. “ Well you can’t be that fast, you couldn’t even get away from your ugly as.s uncle at night. “ Alayna just stared at her “ Now you are really grasping at straws. How do even know what my past life is like? “ “ I have my ways, don’t you worry about that.” Naomi said looking smug. “ Well, are you going to attack me? “ “ Nope. “ Alayna said with a sweet smile while popping her P. Just as Alayna said that Naomi struck her. Alayna wasn’t ready but recovered quickly. She was knocked on her back. Naomi was on top of her quickly. Alayna threw up her hand into Naomi’s nose and heard a satisfying crunch. Alayna smirked at her as blood gushed onto her chest from Naomi’s nose. Naomi screamed and scrambled back. Alayna took the opportunity to jump up and onto of Naomi. “ I don’t want to hurt you, tap out and I’ll be done! “ “ Fuc.k NO! “ Naomi screamed. She bucked her hips and Alayna went flying over Naomi’s head with Naomi hot on her heels. Alayna landed on her back but swung around and knocked Naomi’s feet out from under her and jumped back on top. “ I’m sorry “ Alayna whispers as her fist came down on Naomi’s makeup caked face twice. Naomi’s body went limp so Alayna stood up.

As Alayna started to look around she noticed that everyone was standing around with their mouths wide open. It seemed like there was more pack members that had shown up as well. She then saw Damon, he was standing behind where she started when Naomi looked behind her. His face however didn’t look in shock. He almost looked proud and she could see a glint in his eyes.

Damon jumped into the ring with ease and addressed everyone there in a loud voice while looking at Alayna “ So what did Naomi say the prize was this go around? “ Alayna wasn’t sure if she should answer him so she kept her mouth shut. He raised an eyebrow at her then turned to the crowd. “ A bonfire in the winners honor and the losers has to be the servers all night. “ a young female said. Damon chuckled and turned back to Alayna, “ Well then, I will have everything ready tonight at 9pm and instead of the losers just being the servers, they are going to be the private servers of the one they lost to! “ Alayna stared at Damon, “ I don’t want that Damon, she is probably going to spike my drink. “ “ Nonsense! I’ll make a deal with you, if you come to the bonfire, let Naomi be knocked down a peg or two by serving you and you keep her on her feet most the night, I will go with you and taste test everything that is handed to you? “ Alayna narrowed her eyes and glared at him “ You are going to stand by my side all night and hang out with the little ol’ me? “ She said sarcastically rolling her eyes. She started to walk off when Damon grabbed her by the wrist. “ Yes, now will you go? “ He said seriously. Alayna thought about it for a second, “ Fine but I won’t be staying long. I need to go shower and get this blood off me. “ Damon chuckled. “ You may want to check out your face first “ as he held up his phone with the camera opened up. Alayna saw that her lip was split pretty good and on the same side her eyebrow had a steady stream of fresh blood coming out. She opened her mouth to say something but noticed that her teeth were stained red with the blood coming from her lip. She turned on her heel and stomped off towards her room.
