Temporary boyfriend

Chapter 4

RIZWAN

Rizwan was in his Apartment chatting with his friend Akhtar.

"Akhtar it been so long we have seen each other we just speak on phone when are you visiting me here in Dubai?"

"I also want to come but you know too much work here in my father's company I really want to visit you, am sick of load of works in my office,"

"so when are you having free time or any holiday?"

"mmm you know Christmas is on the corner, I will come to Dubai on 24th of December, guy how is mom and dad?"

"they are all fine, and I will be expecting you my friend?"

"guy I wanted to ask you this, do you have a girlfriend?"

"I don't, how is your wife and children"

"oh they are all fine, when are you introducing me to your wife to be"

"I don't have one, why do you ask?"

"it high time you settle my friend, there's no any girl that will not fall for you, you have all the qualities a girl will want"

"but you know we plan and God plans, am waiting for the right time"

"Alright I pray you find a girl with good qualities and characters"

"Alright thanks for the prayers my regards to the kids"

He ended the call and took a deep breath he knew his friend is saying the right thing, he also want to settle and have his own family but the ones he have before he doesn't seems to like love them they are just his working colleagues.

I was busy with some works in office when Ahmad came into my office to collect some documents, when I check my table I couldn't find it,

"oh  s**t  I forgot it at home"

"sir give me your key I will go get it"

"never mind I will go bring it cos you won't know where I kept it"

By the time I arrived home  I saw some people standing in front of Fahima's apartment. I greeted them they ask me about her and I told them that they should call her, then I quickly ran to my side to pick the files.

I came out the woman was staring  at me as if she knew me or something, I quickly start my car and left. When I arrived at my office the meeting has already begun I gave Ahmad the files and went to the meeting room.

It was alright already 2:O'clock, in the afternoon the clock on my office wall I sigh. I can't believe it these Days time is running fast, time waits for no one. I check my phone and saw 15 missed calls it Akhtar I know he will be mad at me for not answering his calls cos he is a temper person he easily gets angry and that's not good at all, I left my office right away on my way to the mosque by foot I dialed his number he didn't answer I called again still no response, then I call for the third time that when he picked the call...

"Wooh you are going to block my ears with your shouting"

"Rizwan well done I have been!!!.... Calling you since in the morning you didn't answer my calls what's wrong with you!!!"

"Calm down Akhtar it not something to shout about I was in the board room we are having a meeting and I put my phone on silent, have you arrived here?

"Yes am in your house staying outside the compound"

"Alright I will be there in a jiff"

I Arrived home within 20 minutes I saw Akhtar his face shows sadness  in other to make him happy I litt up his mood, I cheered him up I open the door and we went into my apartment.

"Wow Rizwan this apartment is big is this for rent or you bought the apartment"

"It rent I pay 250,000 a year"

"It good it even cheap unlike London it not like here"

"Alright let me show you to my other room so you can Freshen up, then I will go make something for you to eat"

"Alright sure"

I showed Akhtar my other room and  make him some tea with samosas, I don't know how to cook I use to order it or make some snacks at home, I guess later in the night I will just order some food

Ahktar was already done waiting in the living room I took the tea to him with samosas I also took some for myself,  after we were done eating....

"How are you coping with finding a lady for yourself"

"Akhtar you know me right? I don't like girls much besides I want someone who is calm, respectful with good character"

"And beautiful right?"

"I will like to have both but you know those that are beautiful are those that might not have good character"

"You have a point, when I arrive here I saw a beautiful lady in the next apartment, the girl is beautiful I know you will make a perfect match"

"Akhtar you can't judge people by their looks you need to know who they are and understand their character"

"You know if she's bad she won't have greeted me when she saw me, but she greeted me and even ask me who am looking for"

"Then what did you tell her"

"I told her am looking for Rizwan my friend, she smiles at me and said.... May be you were at your work place that I should call you, she even stood there when I called  you you didn't answer the call so she brought me a glass of water to cool my mind cos she saw the anger on my face, she told me to keep trying your number"

"But when I came back I still saw the anger in your face my temper friend"

"Why won't I be angry while I told you I will come to Dubai on 25th how can you forget the date I told you"

"Sorry calm down"

", I just want to see you settle with your own family I just don't know why I feel this but you and that lady will make a perfect match I don't know her name"

"her name is Fahima and she's just a neighbor  nothing else"

"see who is talking did I say she's your girlfriend? Seriously Rizwan that girl is one in million grab her before someone else does that"

"did I  told you I like her or something?  She's just a neighbor there's nothing between us"

"I know some part of you tells you the truth but you just have some Ego that's why you are still single"

"Akhtar you are crossing the line I don't want your first day of visit to look bad, I don't want us to fight am not happy about what you just said"

"Alright I take my words back okay? "
