Not proof read. May have more errors than usual. Sorry. Will go back and fix it when I have time! ——————————————————- Dylan's eyes widen and he felt a lump in his throat. 'Mom, you didn't.' he said in disbelief. 'It was the only way I could keep you safe. So if you wish for him to be free, I would suggest you keep your distance.' Eden sat down on her chair and sighed. 'And if I don't?' Eden stared at her son for a few seconds. 'Well then I would have no choice but to release the footage. Let the world see who Lincoln Candar truly is.' Dylan was appalled. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. The words his mother was uttering did not match his image of her which was always kind. 'How could you do this?' he asked in disgust. 'You have left me with no choice darling. I'm doing this to protect you. I do not trust him, Dylan.' 'I love him.' he said softly, his eyes were to the ground and his hands in a fist. Eden seemed to be shocked at the statement. She knew her son was fascinated by the prince but she didn't realise how much their relationship has progressed to the point where he would say that. 'That is unfortunate. I'm sure you will find love some place else. One worth fighting for.' ——————————————————————— Dylan's mind was extremely clouded as he stood in the descending elevator. His mothers words rung through his head like a broken record. Lincoln's safety was now in his hands. If they were to continue this relationship who knows what measures his mother would take to prevent it. Could he even see Lincoln at this point? How would Lincoln react to the fact that his mother had basically set him up with the brother of the guy who gave Lincoln the horrible reputation. Dylan didn't know what to do. His heart was heavy from missing the prince. And he didn't know how he could keep this going without putting him and Abby in danger. The elevator door dinged opened and Dylan, with a sigh, pushed himself off the wall and walked out of it, quickly putting on a neutral face to avoid anyone seeing his distress. The floor he was on was the Littles wing which was where they kept sick or hurt Littles. The marble floors were kept clean and pristine and there was soothing slow music playing from the speakers as it helps calm agitated patients. Dylan made his way over to the nursery where there were toys for the Littles to play with. Immediately he saw Abby at the corner with Porshia holding a pen in her hand and drawing on a piece of paper. The frown on her lips was apparent but she seemed content and calm. Porshia sat silently with her, watching her scribble on the paper. The nursery was empty besides the two since it was a rather quite day in the hospital. Caretakers normally bring their Littles for check ups during the weekends and since it was a weekday, there wasn't many people around. Dylan decided to stand by the door, admiring her for a second. She was so innocent. She didn't deserve to be ripped away from the one person she loved so much. Dylan wondered what would happen to Abby if he was forced to never speak to Lincoln again. There was no way he was going to give up his privilege of having her since he had grown attached to her sweet aura. Also what if she got sick? Dylan was the main physician for all the Royal Littles, which means that Abby would automatically be his patient as followed by the contract he has with the royal family. Was he then not allowed to treat her since he wasn't allowed to see Lincoln? His confusion only worsen by the second. As he stood in silence by the door, Abby caught his figure in the corner of her eye and a smile immediately formed on her lips. 'Daddy!' she exclaimed, putting her pen aside and running to him. Dylan snapped out of his clouded headspace and quickly caught her as she flew into her arms. 'Hi baby, I missed you.' he said into her shoulders, holding her tight. 'I miss you too. I was being good, I didn't cry.' she replied and hugged him back. Dylan kissed her forehead and kept her in his arms. 'Thanks for looking after her, Porshia.' he thanked the vampires who walked up to them with the paper Abby was drawing. 'It's no problem at all, Mr Folley. I think Abby would like to keep this.' she said and passed the paper to Dylan who took it, wondering what it was she was working on. Dylan looked down and saw a drawing. The drawing consist of three figures, standing hand in hand. Two male and one female. It was very obvious to Dylan that it was a drawing of Lincoln, him and Abby. There was a note by the corner that read 'I love my Daddies'. He figured Porshia helped her with the writing since Abby wasn't proficient in writing. 'This is beautiful, Abby. Would you like to keep it.' he asked her in which she nodded. 'It's for daddy when he comes back. I want to give it to him.' Abby said and took the paper from Dylan. Dylan's smile almost went away at the mention of Lincoln but he quickly caught himself and gave her a chuckle. 'I think he would love it so much. Do you want me to keep it in your bag so it's safe?' 'Yes please.' Abby said which Dylan took the piece of paper and quickly put it neatly into her little back pack before zipping it up. 'Alright, let's get going. We've got a patient to meet today.' Dylan's and Abby said their good byes to Porshia before leaving the nursery and went to their car to leave the hospital. ——————————————————————— Dylan and Abby were sat in the car for about 30 minutes. The whole ride was silent with Abby softly humming along to the music from the radio. She knew something seemed off about Dylan but when she asked him is he was okay he simply said yes and put on a fake smile. Abby was worried but she didn't want to pester him anymore if he didn't want to talk about it. Her heart had felt heavy ever since she left the cottage where Lincoln was. She missed him very much and wondered if they're time away from each other would end soon. 'Daddy, where are we?' she finally asked when she saw that they had pulled up to a big fancy gate. It seemed to be a gated community with big houses on the inside. 'We need to visit a patient first before we go home.' Dylan said and rolled his window down. The guards took a look into the car before nodding and opening the gates for Dylan to drive in. 'Do they know you?' she asked, wondering why they didn't bother asking any questions. 'I treat a little that lives here a lot. So they recognise me and just let me in most of the time.' Dylan explained. Abby stared outside the window and the houses passing by were beautiful. She lived in the city when she was with Lincoln and before that she never left Lit Inc. so this was her first time seeing such big mansions all lined up few yards next to each other. The houses had a similar theme of brown and nude tones and each home had huge drive ways with giant golden gates. Whoever lived here were definitely wealthy and lived a comfortable life. It reminded her of the house that Dylan lived in with Will when she first visited them with Lincoln. After a few minutes, Dylan turned into one particular home that had beautiful metal gates at the front door and fences that lined the house. She could see lights coming from the mansion windows but they were all covered by sheer curtains so it was hard to look through. Dylan rolled his windows down and pressed the button on the intercom. After a few minutes, they heard a beep. 'Hello?' 'Tristan. It's me, Dr. Folley.' Dylan greeted into the speaker. 'Oh hey! Come on in.' Abby heard the man on the other line speak before another click was heard and the gate slides open. 'Who's that?' Abby asked, wanting to be prepared for who she was going to meet. 'This place belongs to Tristan Rome. He is a famous business man. He has a boy little who is pretty weak and frail.' Dylan said and turned his car to the parking area by the front door. 'Oh...why, is he okay?' 'He has a heart disease. So he needs medication to help sustain his body.' Dylan explained, not really going into details since Abby wouldn't really understand any medical terms needed to explain the Littles situation. 'Let's go, you can leave your bag here.' Dylan said and unbuckled his seatbelt before helping Abby with hers. Abby once again opened the door herself and jumped down the car before meeting Dylan on the other side. 'Daddy, I can't wait to help you.' Abby said which made Dylan smile brightly at her enthusiasm. Even though he knew she probably won't be much help but he was just glad that she was so excited to be with him. The two walked up the driveway to the main door that was made of beautiful marble. The mansion was beautiful and classy with marble details everywhere. Tristan Rome was an old friend of Dylan and they went to the same school. He had been treating Tristan's little since he brought him home from the auction and they are one of Dylan's main patients besides the King. Dylan pressed the doorbell and held Abby's hands while they waited for the door to open. From the inside he could hear some loud footsteps as though someone was running. The footsteps weren't that big and was quick paced. Dylan's suspicions were confirmed when the door was pulled open and a short boy poked his head out. 'It's you again!' the boy pointed a finger at Dylan and slammed the door shut in their face. Abby jumped in shocked at the loud noise the door made when it was closed. She looked up at Dylan but saw that he had a smile on and he seemed to not be taken aback by this greeting. After a few minutes she heard mumbling from behind the door that sounded like scolding before the door swung open again. This time it was a tall vampire who stood in place of the boy. He was very tall, taller than Dylan by almost a head. His hair was a dark black that reminded her of Lincoln and he had crystal blue eyes that made him look extremely intimidating yet handsome. She assumed this man was Tristan Rome. 'Dylan! Good evening. Sorry about that.' Tristan said and moved aside to let them in, which Dylan quickly moved forward with Abby close behind him. 'Good evening. How have you been?' Dylan said once they entered the house. Tristan shut the door behind them and walked ahead of them. Tristan shut the door closed behind them before turning to look down at Abby. 'Hello there, who's this?' Tristan asked and crouched down to Abby's level. He was very tall so even while squatting he was still slightly towering over her. 'This is Abby. She's mine. Say hi Abby.' Dylan explained. 'Hi.' Abby said but her voice came out in a whisper. This happens whenever she was speaking to someone new. Tristan looked up at Dylan before back down at the little. 'Oh really? I never figured you would get one of your own.' Tristan said. 'Well, she's my partners but I'm looking after her too. It's complicated at the moment.' Dylan said and patted Abby on her head. 'Oh right, I saw the news.' Tristan raised his eyebrows, sort of in a way signalling that he knew the surface of Dylan's situation but was saving it for another time. Dylan stayed quite about it as it wasn't his goal to speak on his life tonight even though Tristan was a friend. 'We can talk about that later. I think we should get started, it's getting pretty late. This one must be tired.' Tristan said and gave Abby a smile and poked her belly which she giggled softly and hide behind Dylan. 'Arlo!' Tristan called out. —————————————————
