DEVIL'S ADDICTION

CHAPTER 002 : "I wasn't helping you."

The atmosphere was tense and scary, this had happened in movies where she watched the male lead fighting because of the female lead but Alyssa doesn't want that path for herself, the man looks scary, she stared in horror as he took Adrian by his shirt and threw him forcefully against the floor, she could hear bones cracking but somehow he was back on his feet, throwing sharp uncalculated punches at the white haired man as he was quick to dodge the advances from him, he caught his hand midway forcefully cracking each and every one of finger, Adrian screamed, horribly and she felt pity on him.

As Adrian tried to regain balance, a loud uppercut punch threw him up and then down, he winced like a kid on the floor rolling in pain, Alyssa stood up slightly to go and check on him, she adjusted her dress and she saw Adrian sliding on the floor with forced as he stopped in front of her.

She looked down at him, his face was messed up than earlier and she felt the urge to puke again, he immediately stood up and she could swear she heard bones fixing by itself, he ran towards the white haired guy again and flicked his claws, they were as sharp as iron and were like stones, he lifted his hands to claw the white haired man, and with just a push with his palm on his chest, Adrian flew, landing on his back very hard, he remained still, he couldn't move his body, although he tried to, at first Alyssa thought he was pretending but for over five seconds, he still found it difficult to move.

“How cowardly of you to use your claws, you are just a mere skin walker, I could crush out your weakling brain ass head in just a twinkle of an eye, and you dare raise a claw at me? It's very ironic. ” The white-haired guy said, he had a very soothing bass voice, he smirked hard, and walked past Alyssa, not forgetting to give her a slight cold glare. He leaned down to the floor where Adrian was lying and scoffed hard. The hall was silent, and no one dared to talk.

"With the look of your face now, even I would puke, Adrian be warned." He whispered, but somehow Alyssa could hear what he said, how can she hear him from that distance, 'is something wrong with her hearing'. She thought.

"That’s a spell. You'll be glued to the floor for about thirty minutes before it wears off, stop disturbing the school premises." He said that out loud before he straightened up as Adrian cursed loudly, struggling to stand up.

"Just because you're a Deville doesn't mean you own the world Dean, you're a weakling just like me..." He spouted, spitting at him.

Dean made a long pause as soon as he arrived in front of Alyssa, then turned back to face Adrian,

“Mind how you speak on the school ground, don't force me to lock your vocal cords till the end of eternity. "

He leaned down to Alyssa's ear, and immediately, her heart fluttered. It wasn't for love but because she was scared as to what he might do to her.

”I wasn't helping you." He straightened up again and went away, disappearing into the crowds.

That was one of the worst first day ever, what sort of thing did she just noticed, with Adrian still lying on the floor, she took her bags and luggage's trying to find her way to the reception desk, she looked at the door she came in from and looked outside, the foggy atmosphere was clearer, maybe the outer was foggy and the interior was clearer to see, that's why she bumped into him earlier.

Still struggling to find her way around, a black haired girl walked up to her smiling, which was weird, Alyssa had promised herself to avoid everyone in this school, but this girl is approaching her, she might be dangerous as well.

“Hi” she said. She smiled cheekily and hit her shoulder playfully.

“Hey.” Alyssa replied, about to leave when the black haired spoke again.

"I'm Judy, I'm also new, but I came a week ago. You're lagging far behind the schedule though, let me show you around, if you go to the reception desk, you won't be attended to, most times I think no one is actually at the reception desk." She said, Alyssa looked at her and smiled, at least Judy's also new, they'd relate together.

"What's your discipline?" Judy asked, helping her with one of the bags.

“Discipline???”

“Yes, discipline, don't tell me you're not aware of that, didn't your parents tell you before coming?” she asked as they walked into a very big territory with green atmosphere, it was lively and had a floral scent, compared to the smell that oozed out when she first entered the gate, she thought she could see herself staying her longer than she'd expect.

“No, I wasn't told anything, Judy. I thought everyone who came here had a dream because they were chosen. ” She replied to Judy sarcastically. Judy couldn't help but laugh, and at this point, she couldn't help but notice her pink eyes.

“Your eyes are lovely.” She complimented, which made her blush. Her face was red all over. And Alyssa laughed.

“Thanks, I'm a kitsune, that's my discipline, your discipline means what kind of supernatural creature you are. So... what is your discipline?”

“ohhhh.... that, my mum said I'm a wolf.""” Alyssa replied, Judy only nodded to it, Alyssa found everyone here strange. How can she just accept this.

“so... what kind?” she asked, and this question made her worry. Are there still types of wolves? They entered a building after cornering and walking like they had no destination.

“Are... there.... kinds....of ....wolves?” Alyssa asked, and Judy gave her a questioning look.

“It’s normal not to know your kind at first. You'll get to know after the first class.” she said and faced her, making them pause midway.

“So, now we're going to meet the head of our dorm to collect your room card number, but when you get it, do not forget that I am your first friend.” She said cutely. Alyssa smiled and nodded.

“There's nothing much to know. Just avoid Adrian for now. He picks fight with every newcomer for a week, and then it's over. After a week, he'll leave you be.” Judy stated as they walked through the quiet hallway.

“A week?, why is he pouncing on newcomers?"

”well, that's his nature. You can't stop a dog from being a dog. You're lucky Dean fought for you. He rarely does that.“ she retorted.

”He clearly said he wasn't helping me.“ Alyssa rolled her eyes.

”like I said, lucky, maybe he had his reasons. Let's just get to your dorm, so I'll explain to you.“

Alyssa also can't wait to get to her dorm and report all of these to her mom. As they walked, Judy kept on talking about somethings that she couldn't keep a record of, and then they heard a loud chime ringing. People rushed out of their rooms, heading towards various directions, probably for their class, but they couldn't help but give Alyssa bitter looks. She was shocked to their attitude, and before she could ask her friend what was happening, some bunch of girls came towards her. They had siren eyes, with snake like pupils. They forcefully shoved Judy to the floor and aimed at her.

”stay away dimwit.“

They grabbed her by her arm and, with a swift force, pinned her to the wall. They snarled at her, and one of them who seemed like their leader snickered and walked towards her, she spat on her face before landing a hot traumatizing slap on Alyssa's ear, she could hear ringing in her ear, what's wrong with the people in this school.

”I heard you were irritated by Adrian's face, but your face is even more irritating. I could puke right now.“ she said, disgusted, as they laughed in unison.

”You know frolicking around and bullying people at this age is more irritating I could pu....“ Alyssa didn't finish her sentence as she had already puked on the team lead's chest, people watching begin to laugh, the girls felt annoyed, they released Alyssa and went to their ring lead, helping her with her dress.

They left to the bathroom irritated. Cursing at her, ” I'll have my revenge barf girl, and don't let me see you talking to my Dean.“ The ring leader said as they disappeared into the crowd.

Judy ran towards Alyssa and checked her thoroughly before sighing.

”Are you fine?“

”My cheek hurts.“ Alyssa said as they stood up.

”Those are the venom girls. They are sirens and serpents. That's their discipline, and Claudia, their team ring leader, is a viper. She thinks she and Dean are fated together, so she doesn't like anyone going close to him.“ Judy explained.

”So..... someone can actually like that guy?“ Alyssa asked, possibly irritated as they continued their walk like nothing happened.

”It seems as if I'll give you the talk before you even settle in. You have the school two bullies aiming at you right now, so you need to know.“ Her friend stated, as though as if something bad is going to happen soon.
