CHAPTER 003 : DEAN DEVILLE

"So, all you need to know is that, Adrian is a skin walker and he bullies new comers a lot, that's all about him, you should avoid Elena also, she's the one you had an altercation with earlier, she and her girls are the vipers, they go about bullying girls that has their eyes on their man... very funny how these guys aren't even looking at them. So, the first is Dean Deville, he is said to be the toughest scariest creature in all of Deville's academy, plus the fact that rumor has it that he is the son of the owner of this school." Judy paused to catch her breath before continuing.

"What kind of supernatural creature is he?, no one knows exactly, but rumor has it that he is a demon. Some said he's a vampire, but I think he's a hybrid." Anyone could see her grinning from ear to ear, pleased with her conclusion.

They arrived in front of a door which said, room 405, before they could knock on it, a red haired girl walked out, she was searching through the cross bag that was across her chest down to her waist.

“Hi, Hyacinth... this is Alyssa, she's ne...”

“Did you see my pendant?” Hyacinth interrupted Judy, giving both of them a questioning look, like they knew where the pendant was.

“Oh God, if I can’t find that pendant before tonight, I'm dead.” She said, with a trembling voice.

Alyssa looked at her for a moment, still confused as to why she's so scared, “is it that important?” she asked an innocent question.

But Hyacinth came towards her, her eyes were as if it just escaped a pool of tears, they were dark eye circles around both of her eyes, anyone could smell fear all around her from a mile away.

“If it wasn't important, do you think I would look this messed up?” she sighed, ruffling her hands in her hair before heading back to her room.

“Oh, that's Hyacinth Frenchman, she's a hellhound and she's very careless, she's a nice person if her pendant is with her, but once she misplaces it like she did today.....” Judy paused with a sigh.

Then, I continued, “I'm sorry, but she ain't going to respond to you. You might sleep outside overnight, which isn't nice because a lot of things happen at night. Let's just help her find the pendant. ”

This is the most absurd thing she has heard in her entire life, and what did she mean by a lot of things happen at night. They went in together to help Hyacinth retrieve her lost pendant.

“I have a question, though.” Alyssa started off. The two girls paused and looked at her, giving her the 'you better have something important to say' look. She gulped down hard and continued.

“How does this pendant look like?”

“It’s like a rune, but heart shaped. Have you seen it anywhere?” Hyacinth replied. The memory came very vividly to Alyssa, and she nodded.

“Elena!!!!..... she has something like that on her neck, is it yours or does she have hers as we...”

“That b***h, I knew all along that she wasn't going to give up, thanks barf girl, but I need to go teach those viper girls a lesson.” Hyacinth interrupted her, pronouncing each word with threat and contempt, she stood up, heading to the door.

“Barf girl?” Alyssa couldn't believe her ears, does she have a nickname already, this is stupid, she thought.

“Yeah, You're super famous now, and... Judy the registration book is on my desk, help barf girl find her room, I need to go before noon.” She said again.

“It’s Alyssa, Alyssa Sebastian.”

“Oh, okay noted."

”Oh, and Hyacinth, be careful, using powers are forbidden you know.“ Judy remined her and she left, Alyssa was sure if she took that warning to heart at all.

After a while, Judy helped her to locate her room and lucky she had no roommate, she was happy about that, but she also wanted to know why doesn't have one.

”Just settle down, I've checked your schedule, you don't have much until tomorrow, your ID is there together with your schedule sheet, I'll get back to you tomorrow but I have to go find Hyacinth, that girl is fire.“ Judy said, about to leave, Alyssa smiled heartily, at least Judy seemed normal or so she thought.

”Thank you. We'll talk later." As they bade themselves goodbye, she could hear the door shut close. Finally she could call her mom and tell her a lot of things, considering the fact that she's an only child, she had a stronger relationship with her parents.

She arranged her belongings, asserting everything to where they belonged, she looked out of the window and it was noon already.

“I guess it took longer than expected when I arranged my belongings.” She said to herself, she didn't believe all of these happened to her all in one day. Her cheek felt sore, she stared at the medicine Judy got for her earlier when they visited the infirmary, even the nurses knew her, guess she's pretty famous, Alyssa shook her head, this was far from the simple life she imagined.

She went to the bathroom, took a long refreshing bath, and slid into a pink night wears, pairing with pink fluffy clogs, she can only reveal her body when she's in her room, her parents forbade her from revealing her skin that she'd be mocked and it was true, 'I guess not having a roommate was a good advantage she had.' She thought.

Alyssa settled down in front of her study desk, she glanced at her schedule sheet and tossed it away, not reading further, she had instant noodles before taking the drugs, for a while she couldn't feel any pain on her cheek, she was glad and amused but instantly the sharp pain returned, it was twice as worse as before but before she could wail it the pain, the pain disappeared like it wasn't even there.

“was it a magical drugs?” she asked herself, she couldn't wait to tattle all these to her parents.

She took her phone from where she kept it, unlocking it, she saw there wasn't any network, she roamed the room for a bit, but still no network, she got to the window, the network would fluctuate, but it didn't last five seconds. She groaned frustrated, 'maybe if she goes outside just below her dorm window and head straight forward, there will be network' She told herself, but she remembered Judy's warning of the bad things that happens at night, and for now she has already gotten a lot of beatings she didn't deserve from people. 'Or maybe she should try tomorrow morning.' She suggested.

As she started to retreat, she moved back a little about to close her windows when she saw an abnormal creature in the middle of the field, staring at her with glowing eyes, it head turned sharply to the left she could hear the bone crack from miles away, it started making it way towards her, it was swift in it movements, Alyssa hurriedly started locking the window but the other part wasn't closing, it was stuck, her heart raced hard, as she juggled even harder, she feared that the other part might give up and collapse, but thus didn't stop her continuing trying hard.

She glanced at the creature again and this time it was already climbing up the wall, what kind of creature climbs the wall with no support, only claws, but she remembered that thus was a supernatural academy, abnormal things are seen as normal, but aren't using of powers prohibited. She was sweating profusely and she peeked at it again, it was five inches away from her, she closed her eyes in terror, saying her last prayers.

But after a minute or so, she didn't hear any sound nor claws hanging to the walls as it climbs, has something happened to the creature, perhaps she has magical powers to wear off bad creatures, she opened her eyes to see what was going on, but instead she met with Dean's sharp cold gaze, she shivered as she shrinked back in fear.

“You sure love trouble, kitten.”

“w..why.. are you here?” She stuttered.

“You broke a rule, it's past curfew...... What punishment should I give you?......let me think.” he snickered, she looked up to meet his gaze but he wasn't there anymore, instantly she turned and saw him sitting carefully on her bed.

“Punishment?, didn't you see that creature just now, it was after me, besides, isn't using of powers on the school ground prohibited, why isn't it punished?” She said, furious.

“You've suddenly become bold kitten, you weren't like this when we met earlier, you should be scared of me.” he smirked, he actually found Alyssa amusing.

She bent her head slightly. Remembering what Judy told her about Dean, he wasn't the kind of guy she should be messing with. She bit her lower lips, hating this already, why did she have to be in a very unpleasant situation with him.

“Stop biting...” He said, before she could look at him or even ask what he meant by that he was already in front of her, he slowly carefully, released her lower lip from the grip of her teeth.

“You are extraordinary beautiful.” He said like he had seen some sort of unique art. Alyssa's heart pounded hard and she remembered Judy's word again, avoid Dean Deville. She moved back a bit and looked side way.

“Please leave, isn't it also prohibited for male students to be with female students at this hour.”

A cold laugh eroded in the quiet room, then it went down before a deep glare was sent to her,

“This is my school, and the rules apply to everyone except me.... Detention, tomorrow by 4pm. Do not even try to escape it. Remember this is my school and I have my eyes everywhere.” and with that, he vanished from the room, using the same method he came.
