"Everything looks great, your breathing is good, I don't hear any congestion in your lungs or anything... Lay down for me. Any pressure here?... How about here?... Ok, you are great, now let's check on the baby! Now the gel is cold when it first touches your stomach but it will warm up! Hhmmmm now where is he or she!? Looks like somebody must be hiding." "Why can't you find a heartbeat!? Why can't I hear the heartbeat yet!?" "Uhhh I'm not sure? It might be the positioning of the baby Miss. Beckham." "We'll find it! Why can't you find it? Why can't I hear it!? FIND IT!" Massy's arms flailed reaching for something to grab waking up out of her sleep "The baby's dead! Oh my god my baby's dead!" She yelled sitting up. Massy looked around the room realizing she was in her bedroom. "What? Who's dead?" Odell voice was extremely deep, his eyes still closed as he sat up in confusion. Massy covered her mouth shaking her head praying Odell didn't hear anything about her dream, knowing he'd question her about it. "Nothing, I just had a nightmare." She said breathlessly and keeping it short. Odell was still too far gone in his sleep to question her, he turned on his side and tossed a arm over her and pulled her in close to his body. "Come here." He let out a slow groan and nestled his face in the crook of her neck. She placed her hand on his arm and tried to control her breathing, in minutes Odell was back to a very light snore. Massy covered her mouth with her other hand to keep from waking him up again as tears began flowing down the side of her face. Odell and teammate cornerback Janoris Jenkins went up for the same pass during their first indoor scrimmage practice, however Odell had no clue just how close Janoris was, both men landed on the ground but Odell stayed down longer than expected. He rolled to his knees holding onto the back of his ankles taking a minute as the pain went through his leg, he stood up and slowly made his way to the sidelines. Team doctors and trainers surrounded him as he sat back down on the ground. Multiple laceration from the spikes of  cleats trailed up the back of Odell's left ankle. Though it was cuts the doctors and trainers continued to check for anything deeper, to keep the concern down Odell didn't over react he stood up and quietly limped along the sideline into the Quest building. "Odell Beckham Jr. We don't know much about it now, but about a half an hour ago got tangled up with new cornerback Janoris Jenkins on this deep Eli pass, went down, was slow to get up, see there? Got to the sidelines. The sight of Odell limping is a sight that nobody wants to see, he got to the side with Ronny Burns and the trainers to check him out. They carried him off on the cart, but we have to stress anytime it's a leg injury the player has to be carried off on the cart to prevent them from walking on it." "Yea, if we're going off the footage here, he didn't look that bad walking off the field. Just a mix up of players." The two NFL reports went back and forth as footage of a limping Odell played over and over. "Got the chance to watch you practice today and I saw the spill over there, how you doing?" Retired football legend Michael Irvin genuinely asked as he looked down at Odell's taped up left ankle. Odell looked down at his foot. "It's iigh, it's football, it happens, get stepped on, and shake back." Odell smiled showing there was nothing to worry about. "What happened?" "Uhh it was a deep pass and uh I kinda didn't see him coming as much and we both went up for the ball then landed on the back of my leg and cleated all through the back of it. I got some cuts back there. But we'll be iigh." Michael smiled at Odell's modesty. "When you went down over there, everybody in this building... And we was in the indoor building, when you went down we couldn't breathe, we all went silent... The whole season was on the line for everybody in this building, Do you feel that pressure?" Odell went silent for a moment unsure of what to say. It was clear any type of scare involving Odell was a nightmare for not only the Giants team, but for the fans. There was more pressure to deliver on Odell's shoulders than ever before. He continued to stress that he was ok and there was no need for anyone to hold their breath. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Massy quietly walked into the cold waiting room, Mari steps behind her looking down at her phone. "Do not embarrass me... Actually you wait here!" Massy hissed at Mari pointing her finger at one of the chairs. "I want go in too! You said you wanted me to come with you! That's not right!" Mari argued back crossing her arms. "I won't say anything! I'll be silent the whole time!" Mari said with a smile. Massy took longer than she wanted to accept her bargain so Mari extended her pinky out. Massy rolled her eyes and interlocked her pinky with Mari's. Massy's palms began to sweat as she sat on the other side of her doctors desk. "Hey girl! Are we ready for Rio?" Miss. Franklin asked with a smile as she walked around the room. She handed Massy and Mari small bottles of Fiji water and sat at her desk. Massy took a breath and forced a smile. "Yes! Very ready!" "So what's going on? Groin injury still acting up?" She frowned while questioning Massy. She was quiet for a moment. "Uh no, it actually hasn't been bothering me at all." Miss Franklin c****d her head to the side giving Massy her full attention. "You know I've been in LA for the last three months and I got my team examination there, but you've been our Gynecologist for years now and I prefer your word over anything..." "Don't revel my age now girl!" Miss. Franklin said cutting Massy off with a smile. Aside for checking to make sure Massy and Mari were functioning properly Gina Franklin spent many school hours and days next to Cynthia studying the human body she had been a family friend and had known Massy and Mari pretty much all their lives. Massy laughed. "Well.. Not to revel your age. But..." Massy's smile disappeared, a sense of nervousness rushed over her body as if she was going to panic at any moment. "The gynecologist there said that I was infertile." She took a deep breath as if she had been holding onto this secret for years and both months, finally being able to breath. Massy have Gina a serious look as if she was going to cry at any moment. "I just really need a second opinion. Please! I have to have a second opinion." The importance of that Odell put on one day having children had sent Massy into a panic, knowing she couldn't tell the man she was in love with and would eventually being marrying that she possibly couldn't give him children. The one thing Massy as a woman was physically put on this earth to do. To carry a child, to nurture and grow a baby was something that she might not be able to do. Though she had never thought about children until dealing with Odell.
