Txt to Kaepernick: lmao tell me something I don't know!

Massy sat her phone down on the table and picked up her fork and continued eating. Three buzzes echoed off the wooden table letting her know she had another txt.

"Kaepernick?... As in 49ers... Quarterback Kaepernick?" Massy looked up from her plate at Alex then at her phone.

"Yea." Massy simply said and picked up her phone.

"He's going to the game? Odell going with him?" Alex arched an eyebrow.

"Yup. Nope." Massy quickly answered not seeing what the problem was, not that there was. Colin was a friend, a friend that happened to be in the same profession as her, and a friend that she had met long before Odell was thought of. It wasn't until yesterday reconnecting with him at the Beats By Dre press interview that the two began texting.

Alex c****d her head forward waiting for Massy to catch on. She watched her pick up her phone and side her thumb across the screen.

Txt from Kaepernick: I'm glad the size of that head matches that ego, or you would of been done tumbled over a long time ago!

Massy's head fell back as she read the text message. Alex continued watching as her thumbs ran over the keyboard typing out her reply.

Txt to Kaepernick: When I see you tomorrow be prepared to catch these hands! Lmao

"Whaaaaa?!" Massy said looking at Alex.

"Uh hello! You don't think you should tell Odell about this!? You really think he's going to be cool with this!?"

Massy frowned. "I don't see why not. I just invited him to a soccer game. I mean the tickets were going to go to waste anyway." Massy shrugged her shoulders.

"Yea, but it's Quarterback Colin Kaepernick going to a soccer game that he was personally invited to by Forward Massy Arias!" Massy shook her head still not getting it. "The media is going to have a field day with a story like that. Even if it is innocent. They're going to dig up everything Colin and Massy related!"

"He has a girlfriend... I'm engaged." She held up her small hand wiggling her finger back and forth that the large ring was hugging.

Alex gave Massy a devilish smile. "Even better." She leaned back as if she herself worked for one of the tacky social blogs having to come up with a bold title that will get people to click the link. "I can see it now. Massy Arias caught cheating with 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick." Alex said making her voice deep for more dramatics. Massy was quiet for a long moment. She looked down at the new text message from Colin then back at Alex who still had that wide smile on her face as if she was pleased with her work.

"Maybe I should call Odell..." Massy finally said getting the point.

The music continued playing through the ceiling speakers of the Giants locker room. Players went about their business tending to their needs after the second successful day of mini camp. Cleats, shoes, dirty uniforms and towels all covered the blue and gray carpeting. Odell laughed as he caught the end of a conversation he was having with teammates. Finally getting ahold of his phone google alerts had sent Massy's name to his notifications.

Dr Dre and Apple Music has relaunched their extremely popular premium Noise Cancelling headphones with a new wireless design specifically catered to the athletic that is in motion. While keeping big names like LeBron James, Collin Kaepernick, and Cesc Fàbregas but replacing others like Kevin Garnett with USA Soccer forward Massy Arias. 

LeBron James, who is in a historic battle against the number one team The Golden State Warriors to end a fifty year drought and bring a championship back to Cleveland and Kaepernick who is also in his own battles has finally requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers after they benched him. Unfortunately his salary is currently putting a hold on his trade. 

Massy Arias is the newest athlete to be signed to the Beats team. Adding another win to her belt after suffering a groin injury earlier in the year the three time game MVP won her first World Cup this year, not to mention breaking fellow teammate Abby Wambach's recored for most goals scored in a single game. She'll continue her outstanding career in the 2016 Brazil Olympics. 

Aside from the multiple rumors that she's dating New York Giants wide out Odell Beckham Jr. And Colin who is rumored to be dating Nessa a radio DJ, MTV's "Girl Code" and the former girlfriend of his ex-teammate Aldon Smith. (Which explains the confrontation the two allegedly had last year) but that didn't stop the two old friends from reconnecting during their public interview for the new Beats launching. 

Massy went on telling the room full of press the first time she met Colin back in 2013 at a ESPY dinner. Colin followed that story up with he's been "following her career ever since." He then gave her all the credit by saying "she's the one that made me want to start watching soccer." 

Massy was too late, she'd learn just how fast the media worked. No less than twenty four hours was Odell reading the story from the Washington Post website. 

"Dating? Really... She's dating me! Wow." He said to himself and frowning down at the bright screen of his phone. 

"You good?" Dominique asked noticing the tension on Odell's face. His jaw clenched as he remembered Colin was the lucky one partying with her on Valentine's Day during All Star Weekend all because he wasn't mature enough to say what was on his mind at the time, remembering his jealousy had gotten the best of him. 

"Nah." Odell said handing his teammate his phone and watching him skim through it. Dominique shook his head. 

"It work both ways Bruh, they'll get Massy too. Anything to get views. Before you just to any assumptions search the interview yourself. You know Massy ain't like that. She wouldn't do that. Don't let this s**t f**k up your situation Bruh." Dominique spoke sobering words to Odell's boiling anger, bringing him back down to earth, and the reality of it was. Massy was just as much of a public figure as he was, meaning, she wasn't off limits. She too could be placed in the gossip blogs with a tacky storyline attached to the link. If Massy so much as spoke another man's name, she'd be linked to him.
