Louisa's POV: Seven days after I submitted the application to dissolve our bond, it was supposed to be the day Sebastian and I were meant to mark each other. It was raining in Rothbury. I had just finished an inter‑pack meeting when a sharp pain suddenly tore through my chest. The documents fell from my hands. I leaned against the wall and slowly sank to my knees. Deep in my consciousness, my white wolf let out a desperate whimper. Then, it curled up and fell completely silent. By the time the council doctors arrived, I was already running a fever. They took me to the Rothbury Hospital. The doctors told me that the fated bond had been officially severed.
