The Lost Princess

BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!! Ugh. I shut off my stupid alarm! I hate school. If there where a hell on earth high school would be it! I stretch my toned arms above my head and get my ass into the shower. I don't consider myself skinny but my best friend Anna would disagree. I could still shave a few pounds off and replace it with muscle but hey no one likes their body. I wash my curly carrot red hair. I love how its not too long not too short just reaching mid-back. Once Im done, I wash my body with my rose scented body wash and get out. I head to my walk-in closet to see what I can find to wear. I settle with blue jean shorts, a green t-shirt, black combat boots and my jean jacket. "Leora! Anna Is outside waiting for you!" My mom yells from the base of the stairs. Her and my dad adopted me after finding me abandoned at the Nature reserve when I was a baby. They were hiking and found me in a clearing. Doctors said if they hadnt found me when they did I would have died. I rush down the stairs with my backpack on my back grabbing my phone off the table and giving my mom a kiss on my way out the door. Love you, Mom! See you after school! I shout as I close the door behind me. And head for Anna. We walk to school since we live next to each other and just a few blocks from the school. "Hey b***h! What kept you today?" Anna asked while rolling her eyes. "Just the normal not wanting to get out of my comfy bed!" She shakes her head at me and puts her headphones in her ears. I roll my eyes at her and pull my phone out checking what classes I have today. Period 1 – English Period 2 – French Lunch Period 3 – Theater Arts Period 4 – Earth Science "DAMN IT!" I yell! "What?" Anna askes confused. I forgot about my English test today and of course its first thing! Anna starts laughing at me like I just stated the funniest joke known to man. Girl if anyone can pass an English test without studying its you! You're an English wiz! I roll my eyes at her and keep walking trying to remember what all we are covering in the test this morning when we pass a rose bush and I cant help but stop and just smell the roses! Bitch if we are late again just because you cant stop stopping to smell those damned roses Im going to beat you! My eye candy is in our English class! Okay! Okay! Im I stop talking as my eyes lock with the most gorgeous cosmic blue eyes Ive ever seen! Both my parents have blue eyes but nothing this captivating. Im sorry Miss but I just couldnt help but notice how beautiful you look next to these blue roses. Are they yours? Sorry we dont talk to strangers even if they are hot. Plus, we are going to be late to school bye! Anna tells the mysterious stranger as she drags me away and towards the school. Mind telling me what that was about? You never let guys get to you. Yet you were practically drooling over him! She states as she jabs her thumb back the way we came. I just shrug my shoulders still trying to find my voice. Anna just shakes her head unimpressed as we walk into the school. Morning Beauties! How are my two favorite girls doing? Get lost Matt! I practically hiss! I dont know where the sudden surge of anger came from but I didnt want him anywhere near me. Matt is Annas ex-boyfriend. He dumped her and tried to get with me and is still trying. Anna was trying to keep her voice from shaking but she held strong even as I let her drag me away. I looked back and watched as Matt reluctantly walked away. My mystery man was watching us. I stared into his eyes they looked almost sad. Who is he? Shit! That man is scary as hell reincarnated! Anna was practically shaking in her skin now that we were out of sight of the boys. Sadly, I had to disagree with her. He was anything but scary. The only thing scary about him was the way he had captured me with only one look into those beautiful blue eyes! I dont know Anna; I think hes rather. I couldnt find the right word to describe this captivating stranger all I know is that I wanted to know everything about him! OH MY GOD! Get your head out of the clouds Leora! Anna was now laughing as we entered Mrs. Thompsons English class. I just smiled and shrugged my shoulders and walked towards our seats in the far back corner of the classroom. We like getting to class early, but thanks to Matt and the mystery mans argument in the hallway we werent the first in the classroom this morning. Oh well at least I can still get all my things out and read before class starts. Okay class looks like we have a new student today! How about you introduce yourself to the class and tell us something about yourself! Mrs. Thompson stated, catching my attention away from my organizing. Good morning! My name is James and I enjoy summer night stargazing! James! His name is James! I finally have a name for my captivating mystery man! And he enjoys stargazing just like me! I wonder what his favorite constellation is! Welcome James! Go ahead and have a seat next to Leora there in the back! WHAT?!?!?! Hes going to be sitting NEXT to me! My heart cant take much more! James starts walking towards me and I swear our eyes never broke contact! The sadness I saw there before was no longer there. All I saw now was excitement and happiness. Hello Leora! May I have the honor of sitting next to you? Oh My God! I think my heart just stopped I couldnt even speak all I did was just smiled and nodded my head while he returned my smile and sat down. I could feel the envious stares and the glares. No man has ever rendered me speechless before! Alright class lets have some review time and then its time for todays test! James pair up with Leora and during the test if you havent read what we have of In the Mouth of the Wolf then you can read while everyone is testing. James nodded his head and moved closer to me. Oh, be still my heart! So where should we start? James asked as I tried not to lose my voice completely. Honestly, Ive already read the book 3 times. We are almost done with the book, but buy chapter four I couldnt put the book down and I had to read ahead. Each time I reread it I learned something new! When talking about books I can talk for ages! And James listened to me like every word I said was the last thing he was ever going to hear. Intriguing! James exclaimed! Ive never heard someone talk about reading with so much enthusiasm! You will surely pass the test today! Ive read this book once before so Ill give the test a shot! What else do you enjoy? A blush crawled its was onto my cheeks as James talked and complemented me! And when he asked what I enjoyed my heart leaped! Well reading obvi! Drawing but Im not very good, singing, but only when Im by myself! I enjoy swimming and anything to do with nature and I absolutely love stargazing! Wait you love stargazing too! James interrupted! And all I could do was smile and nod my head while his face lit up. Did you know your eyes shine a brighter green when your happy? He asked. No, I didnt know that! I giggled. Alright class! Test time! Mrs. Thompson interrupted. James scooted away and got his desk ready for the test and winked at me, making me giggle once again. . She passed out the tests and we all set to work. James was the first to turn his in and I wasnt far behind! We both scored perfect scores! Sadly, we had to stay quiet for the rest of the test but I passed him my phone number to message me after school not knowing when I will see him again! After class I wave goodbye to James as he headed to his locker. Well, you two got close quick! He still creeps me out! Anna states. I just shrug my shoulders while smiling happily! Ill see you after Choir girl! Anna heads off towards her class and I walk towards French! Well, hello beautiful lady! Matt snakes his arm around my shoulders, trying to be cool draining my good mood instantly. Go away, Matt! Just because we have French together doesnt mean I want you walking with me! Matt places his hand on his heart in fake pain. That hurt Red! DONT CALL ME THAT! I practically scream at him ripping his arm off of me! Is there a problem here? My heart leaps as I hear James voice behind me. No there isnt. Now get lost newbie no one wants you here! Matt hisses out! James calm demeanor turns deadly! Wrong I want him here! But when he said he will protect me I seen the sincerity in his words. Does that mean he doesnt see me in the way I see him or does he see me as an equal? Matt was seething! This isnt over! Matt stormed into Mademoiselle Dubois French class as James and I followed. I guess this is my stop, I say releasing his hand. James grabbed my hand and pulled me back to him. James smiled and looked deep into my eyes. Where do you think youre going amica mea? Was that Latin? I thought that was a dead language? James laughed softly and dipped down to whisper in my ear, Only the best for you! Bonjour! You must be our new student! Mademoiselle Dubois greeted! Bonjour Mademoiselle Dubois! Comment vas-tu? James responded. Je vais bien et toi? Mademoiselle replied impressed. Fantastique j'ai enfin trouvé mon amour pour toujours! James was now looking at me with love and adoration and I couldnt help but blush I honestly got lost in their conversation it sounded like James was fluent in French I dont know why he was taking it if he was good at it. Well, now Im at a loss! Why are you in beginners French when you are so fluent? Mademoiselle asked clearly stunned. James just kept looking at me and it became clear to me and Mademoiselle Dubois that he was only in it because of me. But we only met today?! What is so special about me that he wants to be so close to me? Honestly, I dont mind it! I dont want to leave his side either! Thats how our day went! French, he blew everyone away! Lunch I he pulled out my chair and pushed me in before taking he own seat! Theater Arts, Anna finally started warming up to him! Earth Science, Mr. Spears and James went back and forth with which constellations where more interesting and I just had to get into that battel and put my input! Im a sucker for the Archer and the Pegasus! After school we met up with Anna in front of the school and of course she was eyeing her eye candy. Girl when are you going to go up and get his number! I joke with her. Anna just rolls her eyes at me and points her finger between James and I. So, are you two a thing or what? I look up at James and all I see is love and adoration in his eyes. If she wants to be Im all hers. I see her as my equal and Ill never treat her as less! James words ring true in my heart and I wrap my arms around him in a hug! Well, Ill take that as a yes! Anna said while laughing. But you hurt her I will cut off your ball and choke you with them got it?! Yes, my best friend is a bad ass and super over protective. And by the paleness in James face, I can tell he was taking her serious! If I hurt her, Ill let you castrate me and peal my skin alive! James replied and mine and Annas mouths dropped. Languages are one of my hobbies I can speak English, Latin, French, German, Italian, Spanish, you name it I most likely can speak it! James replied coolly. Anna and Is mouths dropped! Can you help me with Spanish? Anna immediately asked once she got over the shock. James started laughing and I just shook my head. As long as it doesnt take my time away from Leora sure! Wow you really like her! Anna whispered under her breath but I tend to always hear her I always hear what she mumbles! Yah, I do! James replied! My cheeks instantly started to blush as his words registered in my head. How did he hear her?
