He had also sliced some bread to pair it with the food. “Can you eat where you are, or do you prefer that I help you to the table?” Nick asked Darren, tilting his head toward the table set in the corner of the room. “I can eat here,” Darren nodded, unwilling to make Nick carry him to the table. “If you could only give me a hand to sit up...” the man asked Nick with embarrassment.
