I shook my head, repeating, "Mr. Montrose, I wish to break off our engagement!"
Anthony's expression turned icy, as if a mask had fallen away. "Impossible." His gaze flitted between me, Ethan, and Gavin. "Miss Gray, you must be distraught from tonight's events."
I shook my head. "This isn't an impulsive decision, and it has nothing to do with anyone else! I will explain everything to Mrs. Montrose. I believe she will support my decision."
