LVII: The Unbreakable Pact

1030 Words
Stella smirked, before looking at him casually, not even bothering to answer him. Dominic got annoyed at her action. He demanded with restrained anger, “Answer me!” Stella scoffed before she finally responded, “Because if I release one of those, you will use them against me!” Dominic looked at her in disbelief. He shook his head and said as if resigned, “That’s impossible. I won’t use any of that against you! I still need you to release all my stamps!” Stella did not believe him one bit. She shrugged her shoulders and said nonchalantly, “If you say so.” “What would make you believe me?” Dominic asked through gritted teeth. His knuckles were clenched tightly on his sides. Stella looked at him with narrowed eyes. She was silent for a while as if contemplating what to do or say. In fact, she was more than aware that it was not a good idea to keep on pushing Dominic’s buttons. If he lost patience or rationality, how could she deal with him then? She still had some things that she could use against him, but it was not good to expend them this soon. “Let’s make an unbreakable pact,” Stella eventually suggested. She was looking at him as if she was even reluctant to do so, like what she said was the last resort and only option. Dominic stared at her, not immediately responding. At the same time, he was listening at the main door of that tower. Then they both heard an explosion that seemed to came from the ground floor. At that moment, she seriously added, “If we make an unbreakable pact, I will release one of your seals. You can kill whichever or whoever you want but the god’s.” Dominic smirked and said, “An unbreakable pact? In one condition―” “Three conditions!” Stella interrupted as she shook her head. Dominic gritted his teeth and said, “Listen… an unbreakable pact of three conditions, for you, but you will give a condition to me!” Stella looked at him with fear. She thought to herself silently, What if he asked for her life? Darn it, whatever, the hunters were coming. “Okay, let’s do it!” Stella said while looking at him without giving any hint of anxiety or nervousness. Dominic smirked while looking at Stella brightly. Stella ignored his gaze and started channeling her magic. As her eyes glow black, she says, “By my union with death, I establish a pact. Your servant asks for your help!” “I will release the stamp you want! With three conditions, you will not join my enemies, you will not kill my aliens, and you will not betray me!” Stella added, her voice laced with eerieness. Dominic smiled when he heard that. She seemed to be waiting for his condition, so he said full of conviction,  “You will not seal my power anymore!” Stella glared at him with her eyes still black. In that instant, Dominic suddenly thought that she looked somewhat unique and enchanting. Dominic frowned and shook his head. Stella did not deserve that adjective as he heated her to the core. He listened as she continued to chant the spell, “If any condition is broken, both parties will share fate. A lasting prison! In the abbey of Azora!” The pact was about to be fulfilled when Stella looked at Dominic, and he said, “You are unhappy, but you know I like it!!” And with those words, the man kissed her. By kissing her, the pact was established, and both shared fate. That pact could not be broken, and if anyone broke the conditions, both would suffer the punishment. The hunters were about to reach the top of the tower where they were. “Now Stella, unleash the power. Give me the warrior!” Dominic yelled hurriedly. Stella looked at him and said, “Don’t betray me, Dominic! Warrior Liberation!” Dominic saw another seal appear on his left hand. When he opened his eyes, he looked at Stella and said, “If I fvck you with this power, I will break you in half!” “Stop the bullshit and kill all these bastards!” Stella yelled, completely angry. Dominic grinned and said, “Sure, you damn witch!!” At that moment, the door behind him opened, and Dominic, with the shining seal in his right hand, conjured a spear and then shone the seal of his left hand. He threw it with such speed that it impaled two hunters who were in the door and made them crash on the other side of the hall. Smiling, he said, “Two of my powers, and I am already the most magnificent creature you have ever seen!” Stella looked at him and said, “I only see a sad Demi-god!” Dominic smiling, went to the door and, coming down the railing, saw how three more hunters entered the door. Without waiting, he threw himself into the void. There were about thirty floors, having all his powers, Dominic opened landed without problems, but due to the stamps, he could only use two of them. The seal of the blacksmith and the seal of the warrior, but he was sure that these powers were enough for it. Creating a chain, he pinned it to one of the floors to stop him from falling and landing with power on the ground. He looked at the hunters in front of him; one of them raised a revolver to shoot him, but creating a shield, he blocked the shots, and then throwing the shield with force, he crashed it into the head of that hunter, opening it. Then, with force, he lunged towards another who was trying to lift a rifle, but in a short time, Dominic reached him, and taking the tip of his rifle, he created a knife with his other hand, which he buried in the hunter’s neck before taking the rifle from him, and shoot each other unceremoniously killing all three in seconds.
