The vampire raised his free hand and, without the slightest effort, stopped the wild imposition that Seraphim was leading towards him.
The blow of the young woman crashed against the hand of the vampire, who was smiling said, “I thought you were never going to go in!”
Seraphim’s body glowed brightly, but the impulse that she had achieved was not enough to move the vampire from his place.
This man had calmly stopped the girl’s body as he said with slight disappointment, “You should have waited for your companions.”
And tensing his muscles, he used his hand to force Seraphim back. She landed on the symbol on the floor.
The room was oblique, the walls were smooth and had torches everywhere, the ceiling was also smooth and gave the impression of being in a strange Roman room, the floor had an emblem that also carried the throne on the head of the vampire, a C and a W intertwined.
“You want to wait for your companions, your friend the witch must have killed the wolf by now, and she must be on her way,” he said with a hint of laziness.
Seraphim looked at him with anger and irritation. Few things bothered her more than someone belittled her. She was young, but she was far from incompetent, and by opening her eyes tightly, she prepared to perform a spell that she had long planned for this moment.
“You vampires believe you are invincible… I hate all creatures of the night, live off humans, and despise them as if they were not once one. Now I will show you some humility,” As she spoke, her eyes shone.
“Lux Temperatus Stella Rutilians !! Supernova!” Seraphim yelled.
Just as she said that her eyes shone with great intensity and a yellow light began to surround her body.
The heat that emanated caused the smoke to come out around her. The seated ancient vampire smiled when she stood up, and he said, “That is awesome creature… Witches never cease to amaze me! If you want to start so much, then come! Show me what you’re made of!”
Seraphim, without wasting a second, lunged forward, threw a ball of fire that covered the vampire’s visibility to run at full speed in his direction. When he was close, he hit his face with a huge burn, and the blows fell consecutively when
The smiling vampire took one of the woman’s hands and raised it, and he encouraged, “You have to do much better than that!”
With a slight movement, he threw her all the way back to the opposite wall, and the impact was such that Seraphim, for a minute, thought that she would lose consciousness.
Falling on the ground, she stood up and asked, unmasked with disbelief, “How come you don’t die!?”
The smiling vampire looked at her and said, “Yes, that is sunlight… but you are not the sun, you cannot generate that much power, a normal vampire might perish, but I, I am Cornelius Wilper. You can never beat me, witch.”
She advanced all the way again, but this time her blow was instantly parried, and the vampire gracefully broke Seraphim’s arm.
The girl continued to shine, and from the hand of the old man, smoke came out with the burns that the young woman’s body caused but the lifting her ignoring the pain of her threw her with force again towards the wall.
Seraphim knew that this would be the end of her, if she crashed to the wall, it was all over, but there was no way to avoid it. When she was about to bump, two of her hands saved her.
She for a minute thought it was Joshua, or maybe Edith, but when she managed to see it was Nate, who was coming out from inside the wall.
She walked away thinking that she would kill him with her spell, but the young man was fine when she saw him. She asked, “How is it possible?”
Nate was walking casually towards Cornelius and said, “An ordinary vampire would die! But I am not ordinary, right… Father?”
Nate walked with determination until he was in the center of the chamber.
While looking at the ancient vampire, who was still standing in front of his throne, he said, “Long time no see, you damn oldie!”
The smiling man looked at him and, shaking his head, sighed as he said, “Today is certainly a day of disappointment, my vampires could not kill four undesirables, and now you show your face... And by the way, the word you are looking for is Ancient, you brat.”
As Seraphim got up, she looked at Nate, and he had rescued her. If she had hit the wall, now it would be nothing more than a memory, but thanks to the intervention of the vampire, she was able to survive, although there were many things that she could not understand.
Nate looked at her and, with a smile, said, “Let’s get rid of this old bastard!”
The vampire, looking at the boy with disdain, let out a loud laugh that echoed through all corners of the cavern before he said, “Are you crazy? A bastard like you and a useless one like her is going to kill me?”
After he said that, the vampire gracefully added, It’s okay! I will fulfill your wish and eliminate you.”
In all fierceness, he made the ball off her chain jump. As he hurled it towards Seraphim with full power, he attempted to assassinate her.
The ball was flying at full speed in Seraphim’s direction. The young woman thought of a spell that could help her stop it, but remembering directly how that same attack had ripped Joshua’s arm out of the ground, her fear paralyzed her.
Before the ball could hit her, Nate stepped in, holding it with his whole body. The impact was so strong that the young man was dragged back, and with his feet, he had to embed them in the ground to be able to withstand the pressure of the attack.
