XLIV: Ancient Vampire (3)

The young man was holding him from the back and jumping to embed both with these, and he went through the wall causing his father to get impaled again for a few seconds.

At that moment, Joshua took the two witches and, jumping away, landed on the other side of the room where Nate appeared from the floor going through it.

Joshua returned to normal for a second. The wounds on his back were healing, and seeing Edith, he asked, “Are you okay?”

Edith nodded and, looking at the vampire, and asked, “What’s that?”

Nate, who agitated looking at his father, replied through gritted teeth, “It’s the Ancient vampire way! His strength will be incredible now as well as his speed. We must be careful….”

But when he said that, the vampire landed in front of him. Crossing Nate’s stomach with his two hands, he lifted his body, making Nate spit. When he lifted him, he saw Nate’s face when he said, “What a disappointment you are! But it’s better to have two pieces of crap than a whole one!”

The vampire was about to split the boy’s body in two, when Joshua with his spear, pierced the vampire just before he transformed and tried to bite his neck. The vampire dropped Nate on the floor, who was bleeding prominently.

Seraphim and Edith approached the boy to see the sore man holding his abdomen when he said, “I’ll be fine. I don’t heal as fast as a vampire... but I will heal.”

The three of them watched as Joshua used all his strength to push back the vampire when the former, hitting the wolf’s stomach, pushed him to the ground and putting his foot on Joshua’s chest.

He said as he pulled the spear from his stomach and dropped it into the ground, “Maybe if you were a consummated Alpha! Maybe if you were older... but you are not, now die!”

But just then, Seraphim and Edith were coming together.

Edith screamed loudly, “Fortitude!”

Just as Edith yelled, Seraphim threw full power against the ceiling, and the young woman was preparing her fist as she screamed, “Impulsum!!”

Magic hit the roof of the raven, smashing it into pieces causing the sunlight to bathe the entire central circle of the room.

The sunlight burned the vampire, forcing him to take refuge on the edges where there was still shadow and Joshua, getting up with difficulty, saw how his three companions joined in the sunlight.

The ancients looked at them, and from his body, a huge amount of smoke came out. The burns were strong just for that little moment of exposure when he said, “If you think you are safe, you better think again.”

And with those words, the transformed vampire prepared to attack.

The old man looked at them hidden in the sunlight. They were all exhausted and kept their eyes fixed on him.

He was looking at them with amusement and said with a smile, “Do you really think you’re safe, just for a little light...? I’ll show you how wrong you are!”

Saying that the Ancient wrapped himself in a layer of hard skin, his whitish papyrus-like color began to change, and his monster appearance was maximized in seconds.

Edith saw him and firmly raised her hands, darkening her eyes to say, “Debilitare!”

All the armor that the Ancient one obtained began to fall apart, and he watched the parts of his hard skin detach from his body, and raising the roster, he looked at Edith with hatred.

Activating all his power, he prepared to pounce over her. And with a roar that shook the cave, without wasting time, he launched himself towards her.

Edith, seeing the intention of the Ancient, closed her eyes. His claws were about to slice the witch’s neck when the sound of meat being severed caught Edith’s attention.

When the witch opened her eyes, what she saw was the image of Joshua in front of her receiving the attack with his back.

The werewolf winced as he smirked, then he said, “I won’t let anything happen to you!”

His wound on the back began to heal rapidly, and the Ancient across the room was billowing smoke from its short blast in the sun, but his injuries were minimal.

Turning to see his opponents, he said, “I said you were going to die!”

At that same moment, he targeted Edith again and launching himself with speed. Joshua got in the way again, but this time the man was turned into a wolf, and the force he used to stop the Ancient was much greater.

Joshua wrapped his claws around the vampire’s back, trying to hold him tight so he wouldn’t let the sunlight out, but this time, the vampire had pierced his stomach with both hands.

His stomach wound wouldn’t heal, but Joshua wouldn’t stop grabbing the vampire. His skin began to char, and when he felt the pain, the vampire decided to move away from him, but even so, Joshua fought hard to keep him in that place.

Using incredible force, he moved his hands in a circular fashion spreading Joshua’s abdominal wound and lifting him up with just his force until he was whipping him off the sidewall.

When he decided to leave, now that he was free, Nate and Seraphim jumped into action. Nate took the hands of his father to prevent him from leaving.

As his father had much more strength than Nate, he used his power to sink into the shadow that his father generated and be able to plow him again against the ground.

But the Ancient was very powerful, and by shaking his hands violently, he managed to get rid of that attempt.

When he let go, he was about to leave, but before he could escape, Seraphim, using Joshua’s spear, turned with speed and gave a very deep cut in the Ancient’s leg, severing it by the roots.
