LXXX: Three Conditions

Seraphim nodded and calmly said, “The truth is that we need everyone who can fight. Look what happened in this place. They took us by surprise, and we almost managed to survive. We really can’t risk it that way!” Looking away, he saw Seraphim when she said, “If we are not able to defeat the hunters, we will lose when we go to rescue Stella, and we need to know more!” Joshua nodded and, seeing her, said, “Well, at the altar, you can get all the information you need, but we must hurry. The attack will come in two days!” Everyone nodded, and Erika looking at Edith, said, “Do you think all these changes are connected to something greater?” Edith saw the girl, and her seriousness caught her attention, she calmly nodded, and Erika said, thinking a minute. “I think you should talk to my mother... I don’t know why but a lot of strange things are happening, and maybe she can shed light on what it is.” Edith nodded. It was clear what the action plan was. They had to return to Joshua’s mother’s tribe. The answers would be in that place, and without a doubt, they could have a better perspective of what was to come. They all had their motivations and their goals aligned. However, not only were they on the move. The small but strengthened group that the wolves had gathered was advancing without hesitation. In just days, they would reach the moon tribe and could eliminate the alpha. But Gerard and his father weren’t the only ones interested in ending someone. Among them, a man was riding. His hair was in yellow dreads, and when he saw Gerard, he smiled. He looked at him and said, “Why are you smiling at me, vampire? Want to die?” The laughing vampire said, “Technically, I’m already dead… but no. I would not fight with you... it would be something terrible for me, surely with your wolf teeth, you would tear me apart, and with your wolf claws, you would tear me to pieces. That is something that I cannot risk.” Gerard saw it and his teasing tone made the wolf lose his patience. Ready to move forward and fight, he felt the thick and heavy hand of his father on his shoulder when he said, “Don’t make the mistake of believing that you are more powerful than him!” Gerard opened his eyes in surprise, and looking at his father, and he said, “What are you talking about? I’m the son of the alpha, and he’s just a vampire. What does matters if he’s old!?” But Gerard’s father looked at the vampire who smiled, and waving, said, “For your own good! Stay away from him. He is a very dangerous guy…!” Gerard did not understand the caution of his father but obeyed, and he walked away. The vampire on the horse was smiling and looking at the moon. He said, “Soon, I will come to you, and we will settle debts!” Everyone was returning to the village of Joshua’s mother, the coming battle promised to be one of the worst ever seen, and the difficulties they had seen in the city raised doubts about their own capabilities. Nate looked at the armory of the wolves, and everyone had been received with the greatest of kindness. As Joshua’s companions and he had been able to access the armory where there were a huge amount of weapons, he took each weapon and felt it in his hand. A few movements gave him the feeling of what he could do with it, and with each one, he remembered the fight with Dominic. While he saw them, Seraphim reached behind him and leaning from the entrance, and he said, “A strange place to be for a man who does not like battles.” Nate turned and looked at her with a smile. She was right. It was a strange place to be, but what had happened with Dominic was something he didn’t want to experience again. She took the weapons and admired them. They had been made with great dedication and seeing Nate, she asked, “What are you doing here?” Nate looked at her, and with a little fear, said, “When I fought with Dominic, his strength was superior to me, but that was not the first time that happened. In the fight with my father, his strength was also much superior to mine. However, I didn’t feel so defenseless at that time.” Nate said that and took an ax from the wall, the weapon was heavy, but with the force of it, the weight did not symbolize any problem. He looked at Seraphim, and the young woman questioned, “Do you think if you had a weapon, you would have been better off against Dominic?” He looked at the ground for a second, and he said, “Hunters drink potions to obtain the powers of wizards, but since they defeated them in the first place... they had to use one of these.” Seraphim nodded and, seeing it, said, “Yes! That is true. Weapons give you advantages, like magic or powers. If you manage to combine them, you will be much stronger. Joshua uses his spear despite being so powerful.” He nodded and, looking around him, said, “But I’m pretty bad at this, and I have no idea what I could use.” She saw him and, smiling, wondered, “If there was a way that you could be an expert with all weapons in one day, would you want it?” Nate looked at her, and without believing what she said, he also asked, “What are you talking about? Is there a way I can be proficient with all weapons in one day?” She looked at him and walked towards him, and she lowered one side of her blouse as she turned around. Nate held his breath. With all the things that had happened, he forgot how beautiful Seraphim was, and being with her at that distance, made him nervous. Looking at her back, he saw a mark. That mark looked like a particular rune, and she was holding her hair so that Nate could see. He explained, “That is the rune, Weapons Master... I could apply it to you, and you could control all these weapons without problems.” He looked at her surprised while the girl arranged her clothes. He saw her and, she, smiling, said, “With that, you could have a better chance against Dominic.” Nate nodded, saw her, and asked, “Can you put that rune on anyone? No problems?” She shook her head as she smiled, and walking towards him, she said, “There are three conditions, and if we met the three conditions, I could put it on you!” Nate saw her and, smiling, said, “What are the three conditions?” She looked at him, and without smiling, with tremendous seriousness, he said, “The first is that you have to have a battle close; otherwise, the war god will not consider you!” Nate smiled. By chance, an extremely important battle was approaching them, they were both smiling, and she said, “The second is that it has to be on an altar of the god of war! Luckily, here are all the altars!” Nate stared at her and calmly said, “And what is the third?” Seraphim stared at him and said, “The third is that we have to have s*x!”
