Chapter 1: What Am I?
Lilith just stepped out of the bathroom when she saw Jack standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, wrapped in a bathrobe.
From the 35th floor of the hotel, you can take in most of the night view of Verre City.
Tonight, it was she who knocked on Jack's door first.
Jack turned around and looked at her thin, lace nightgown, his eyes glazed over. "Miss Lilith, you have quite the nerve."
Lilith reached out and lifted the edge of his bathrobe. "Professor Jack isn't bad either."
Jack brushed aside a few strands of her wet hair that hung over her neck. "The old man is sleeping in the next room."
Lilith raised her long eyelashes, her pair of blue, moist eyes staring at him intently; "The chairman always goes to bed early, and the hotel has good sound insulation."
Suppressing the urge within her, Lilith wrapped her arms around Jack's neck. She pressed her soft breasts tightly against the man's strong body and exhaled sweetly, "Jack Lane, I'm your fiancée."
Lilith was the fiancée chosen for Jack by his grandfather, John Lane.
But Jack has never acknowledged this marriage.
He has a white moonlight in his heart.
Lilith couldn't quite put her finger on the feeling in her heart. During the dinner party that night, something was put in her drink. By the time she realized it, her body had already started to react.
Fortunately, on this business trip, Grandpa John brought Jack along, which gave her the chance to knock on his door.
Lilith was actually a novice in this regard as well. But the situation was special, so she could only rely on her instincts to seduce Jack's body.
She put her arms around his lean waist and, in a teasing way, scratched his side with her fingers. "Jack, help me, please."
Miss Lilith looked much more attractive when she was begging for help than when she was usually putting on airs. His voice carried a hint of mockery as his hand casually encircled Amy's waist.
Jack's reputation within the circle is polarized. Elders criticize him for being idle and wasting his time. As the eldest grandson of the prestigious Lane family, he doesn't take over the family business but instead opts to become a university teacher.
The younger generation, however, all say that he is a man of great integrity and loyalty, remaining chaste for his beloved and waiting for her with undying devotion.
Lilith now felt that the rumors might not be true.
His hand roamed over her body, now on her chest, then her neck, and then her thigh.
He kissed her lips, and their tongues intertwined. He pushed Lilith onto the bed, and she panted heavily, her chin slightly raised, allowing his tongue to wander freely over her body. She closed her eyes tightly, letting this hungry wolf feast.
In the luxurious room, only the sound of their rapid breathing and the creaking of the big bed could be heard.
After a moment, they calmed down.
At least, Jack was very skilled and seemed very experienced.
His first love had long gone abroad. Where he picked up the skills, Amy had no idea either.
She pulled the quilt over herself. After the peak of desire, she was so sleepy that all she wanted was to sleep. Jack went to take a bath as soon as he was done. His expression was so cold as if the one who had just gone crazy wasn't him.
Lilith reached out and rubbed her thigh, tidied her hair, buried her head in the pillow and got ready to sleep.
Before my eyes could close, I heard a mobile phone ring.
Lilith rolled over and ignored him.
However, the ringing persisted as if it wouldn't stop until the call was answered.
Lilith closed her eyes and reached out to the bedside table, feeling for her phone. Half-opening her eyes, she tapped to answer the call.
"Hey..." Before she could finish her sentence, the phone was snatched away. Lilith opened her eyes. Jack, with a bath towel wrapped around his lower body, was holding the phone in one hand and looking down at her from above.
Amy froze for a moment, about to speak, when she heard a hesitant female voice on the phone: "…Hey, Jack, where are you? I heard a woman's voice?"
Jack gave Lilith a warning look and said, "I'm on a business trip with Grandpa." He paused for a moment and then explained, "Just now a woman came to deliver an advertisement."
Adults all know what the woman distributing advertisements in the hotel does.
Jack went to the balcony with his mobile phone and was whispering something to the person on the other end of the line.
The night was already desolate. Even if he spoke in a low voice, Lilith still caught bits and pieces of what he said.
“…… "Well, she's just a flyer distributor."
"I know. I won't have anything to do with such people."
“…… "All right."
Just as Lilith was about to fall asleep in a daze, Jack came back. Standing by the bed, he coldly said, "You, get out."
Lilith had just been worn out too much. She didn't feel anything when it ended, but now she felt completely drained all over.
She half-raised her face to look at Jack, "Used me up and then threw me away? You b*st*rd!"
After answering Amy's call, Jack's good mood after the intimate moment vanished completely. He looked at the woman lying on the bed with contempt, "Wasn't it you who begged me?"
Also, Amy is coming back.
Lilith guessed that the underlying meaning of this sentence was probably that Amy was her fiancée.
After all, Amy is the one Jack has always cherished in his heart.
Lilith gave a self-mocking smile. So that was what he had just told Amy, that Lilith was a woman who delivered advertisements?
It's true that once they turn against you, they won't recognize you.
Lilith, enduring her physical weakness, got out of bed, picked up her clothes and walked towards the door.
"Lilith Bright." Before reaching the door, Jack's cold voice rang out again. "Don't say what you shouldn't."
Lilith turned back and smiled. "Only the woman delivering cards knocked on Professor Jack's door tonight." Lilith, exhausted, went back to her room and lay down on the bed, falling asleep immediately.
It was not until the next morning when I was woken up by the bell that I realized I had overslept.
She felt a bit dizzy and reached out to touch her forehead, which was burning hot.
It was her first time. Jack was aggressive again, completely disregarding her feelings. She got up and found some fever medicine, quickly swallowed it, and Amy walked to the hotel lobby.
Only the chairman and two other secretaries were seen, but not Jack.
She asked with concern, "Where's Jack?"
The chairman snorted. The secretary beside him answered awkwardly, "Miss Amy is going back to Ville tomorrow. Professor Jack is going to pick her up."
It is common knowledge that Lilith and Jack are engaged.
It's also well known that Jack likes Amy.
