Chapter 3

There he was, the most beautiful wolf standing over Ron, its fur was mixtures of reds and browns which made it look like fire and those eyes were the same. It almost looked like dancing flames in his eyes, ones that bore into my sole. 'MATE!' Akira yipped with excitement. 'Hes wonderful' She howled before I blocked her out. I needed to leave and fast. He growled when the bike started, he looked like he was contemplating on whether to chase me or help Ron. I prayed to the Goddess that he chose Ron. I didn't look back to check for a few miles, my heart was beating too fast to control and for the first time in a while I was actually afraid. When I grew the balls to check behind me I saw no one which made me sigh in relief. I drove for hours before I reached Aunt Jea's house. She was on the porch of her little cottage in the middle of nowhere waiting on me, her face was pale and she looked like she was going to vomit. I parked and ran up to her. "Auntie are you okay?" I asked as I pulled her into a hug, trying not to break her. She was a small woman, 5 foot exactly with long blonde hair and green eyes. Although she was in her late 50's she didn't look a day over 25. "I'm fine child, you worry too much." She stated as she pushed me back and looked up at me. "I've been expecting you, come lets get into the house quickly." She said while looking over the forest with worrisome eyes. I felt uneasy, shes never like this. Once inside she started a pot of coffee and handed me a mug before gesturing to the sitting area. I plopped down on the love seat and set my mug n the coffee table before turning my attention to her. "Spill it already, Jea, you are making me nervous over here." I looked at her with concern. "I smelled you 10 miles down the rode Skai, what have you done that was so reckless to expose yourself?" "I'm sorry Auntie, I got into a fight and it was either be beaten or fight back. I didn't think it took all my strength to fight back, I swear I used minimal powers as possible." I said before looking away ashamed. She sighed before setting her own mug down and crossing her legs.  "We need to talk little bird." She used the nickname my father gave me which meant whatever she was about to say had something to do with them.  I didn't respond with words as I nodded indicating for her to continue. "You met your mate tonight, yes?"  "Wait, how did you know? Also I ran before he could smell me so no biggie." "Little bird it's time you know the truth, your mother didn't want me to hide you because you were a half -ling. I hid you because of what your mother was." She said looking sad. "What do you mean, what was she?" I asked "See little bird your mother was an Alpha before she met your human father. She was a powerful Alpha that was not only feared but highly respected. She was arranged to be married to another packs Alpha once she was of age, 18, but she met her mate, your father. The packs refused to allow a human by her side so they told her to reject the human and proceed with the alliance. You know the rest of the story as you are now here." she sighed and waited for me to take it all in before continuing.  "But what you don't know little bird is that she came from a line of Alphas that processed powers greater that those of normal Werewolves. The family she came from held the power to control water, that is why yours and her wolves have the deep blue tint in your midnight black fur. Its an indication of what element you control, along with your eyes." She stated. "Wait this doesn't make any sense Jea. I cannot control water, I have never even had the though to try." I said looking at her sad expression. "Yes little bird I know and that is why I am so sorry.. Your mother didn't want them to find you, Alphas like you and her are used for breeding other powerful werewolves. She wanted you to find your mate and be happy. She wanted what she had with your dad for you. That's when she asked me to cast a spell that hides your scent from others but also suppresses your powers so you cannot used them and be caught." She finished looking exhausted. I didn't know how to respond. None of this made any sense. I felt betrayed by her, but mostly by my mother and father. Why would they want to hide me away. Why wouldn't they tell me the truth and teach me how to use them instead of keeping them inside me. I opened the link to my wolf.  'Akira did you know?' 'I had a feeling Skai, I am sorry. The witches powers were too strong to try and forced them out. Your mother was right to hide them. These powers are dangerous and in the wrong hands can be deadly.'  I blocked the link again before returning my gaze to Jea. "Take the mask off, please Jea." I asked desperate to get a feel for powers I never knew I had. I felt excited yet frightened.  "Wait Skai there is something else.." She paused before sighing, "Your mate, Hakan, is the son of that Alpha that was arranged to marry your mom. He possess the element of Fire. He is now the Alpha of his pack but if he finds out who you really are he may kill you. Water and Fire are not supposed to mix in the element world, it can be deadly or it can produce offspring more powerful than anyone. If i take this mask off you need to be careful, understood little bird?" I finished while looking at me with worry filled ages eyes. "I understand Auntie, I promise I will be careful." With that she started saying something before my vision blurred and the room started spinning. I felt like a boulder was lifted off me then all of a sudden everything went black.
