Epilogue Ember Looking at the ring on my finger, I knew without a doubt that my life was about to change even more. What I didn’t realise was how fast it was going to happen. After I’d accepted the proposal, we ate the meal Cohen’s brother had prepared for us. And he kept sending texts to someone every few minutes while we were eating. “What are you doing?” I asked after a while. “Just letting people know what’s up.” He looked at my plate as I placed the napkin on it. “Finished?” “I’m stuffed. The shrimp bisque and the lobster were filling. I’ll have to be sure to thank Stone for this.” I reached for the glass of wine only to have Cohen take my hand. “Time to go.” He pulled me up and led me through the house out to the garage. Then, he opened the passenger door of his truck for me.
