Coincidentally, the garage was in a g b****y Ridges' bases
I'm not really interested in this pawn organization but if I can at least wipe out a certain base of b****y Ridges, it somehow should affect the mastermind's plan badly, I'll be happy to do that.
I knew that if the wind of Deathface's failure gets in the air, the mastermind will react accordingly and the biggest natural reaction was altering his collaboration with b****y Ridges.
The mastermind must have an unusual relationship with the b****y Ridges. Otherwise, this could be a common human thing organization with barely any means got their hands on a priceless mission scroll that was more than a thousand years old?
Even if their luck defied logic, a small organization like this should not have planned all this and triggered the following incidents.
selling it as soon as possible and converting the Scroll into cash was the best option for an organization like this.
And who knows, the Deceiver's Note might nite even exist, it might just be one of the rumors by the mastermind to draw the attention of people, including super villains.
The other speculation was starting with the Deceiver's Note, the following okan might be bigger than anyone could imagine.
I wasn't sure at this moment, I am confident even Deathface did not know any of this. I already knew his strong Deathface was from Emma Eddie.
Killing people without blinking, given that he was given enough commission.
As last by as he was paid enough, Deathface could do anything for the employer
In simpler words, Deathface was a professional Hitman to hire, although he would spill everything about his employer since he was being controlled now, as long as the employer wasn't an i***t, he would know how to clean up his tracks.
Judging from the mastermind's performance, he was more vigilant than I expected.
At least, at this moment, I haven't caught a glimpse of his figure or anyone that has direct relation to him
Therefore I chose to make my move on b****y Ridges.
The night was getting darker, the few guards on duty were ranting outside
"Damn it, why is it always cold whenever I'm on duty?"
"I wish I brought cigarettes along"
"Stop talking, you might draw attention"
"If we don't talk, we'll die of either silence or cold. We've been here a long time"
"How long are we gonna be on guard here?"
"Till they are done"
"You think the guys inside need us here? We should take a break"
"Shut up! It's boss' order, we can defy it"
……
Continuous night shifts make one if the guards are upset and angry, he couldn't stop voicing his thoughts about why guarding this place is unnecessary.
It was natural that b****y Ridges had the guards on duty, there was no discipline, no vigilance and all they relied on was numbers to suppress their enemies, there were no elites in their rank either.
The best they had was probably the one who tried to shoot Emma Eddie
However, things were a little different in the garage.
There were few mens sitting down with fully armed arsenals
All of them were grown up and had serious faces, they were not to be trifled with. Even their sitting posture was uniform as though they were all sculptures carved from the same mold.
Well, few common humans are nothing for me to fight, I don't even have to be seen
Still in my hiding place, I closed my eyes and release my spirit energy. The spirit energy floated to where the guards were and locked itself to the guy who was complaining earlier. A lot of spirit energy entered into him and he started to hear the [Wails if the Dead].
"Do you hear that?" The guard asked
"You never listen, just keep quiet?" Another guard who seemed to be their superior said.
"No, no, I heard something like someone is crying, it's not far from us"
"Just shut up now before we hear you cry"
Hearing the sternness in his superior's voice, the guard kept quiet.
The Wails in his head didn't stop and he started to feel uncomfortable, he stood up and was pacing to and fro.
"What's wrong with you, why can't you just stay put? First it was your mouth now your legs. Get your damn a*s down now!"
The superior was shocked when the guard didn't follow his orders. The superior stood up and pointed his g*n at the guard "sit now or I swear, I'll shoot your legs"
The guard's face hardened and his eyes turned b****y red. "you are not boss, don't you dare order me". He spoke in a deep, low, shaky voice.
The superior got infuriated by the guard's words and punched him in the face. The guard instantly retaliated by punching his superior.
The superior got more angry and he raised his g*n up to hit the guard with it but was stopped by the other guards which quickly held the superior and pleaded him to calm down.
Just when the superior calmed down, another guard joined the first guard in pacing. The superior furrowed his brows and was wondering what might have happened to these people. But then, another guard joined and the fourth joined too. They were all pacing the garage in s uniform manner, leaving the superior with three other guards that she still in their senses.
"What's wrong with them?" One of the guards asked
"I don't know, just stop them," the superior answered.
The three guards who were still in their senses all went to the other four to stop them but before they got to them, they halted. In fear, they retraced their steps, their faces froze and breathing became difficult for them.
"What's wrong?" The superior asked
"Th…their eyes…purple"
One of the three guards answered with his voice shaking, the superior hardly made out what he was trying to say but when he saw for himself, he's face froze too
