Holding the common swords that the guild gave me, with full speed, I ran to The Vanisher and swinged my sword. He couldn't even catch my movement but the sword was too weak to wound him.

"Eh eh, is this all you can do?"

The Vanisher gave an eerie laugh and vanished from where he was.

I wasn't scared or afraid, since I was engaged in a fight with Nothing, I have learnt not to fear my enemies, even if they are invisible.

"Fighting invisibly are we now?" I scoffed, smirking my face.

For the first time, I released the [Spirit Ghost], dark purplish flames emitted from my body and formed an eerie ghost, the be best part was the ghost was visible to only me. The ghost who currently has only a head stared at me anxiously, it was waiting for me to give the order.

"Kill the predator"

I didn't have to say that out, I passed the order through my thoughts, through the use of spirit energy.

The ghost took it's keen eyes off me as it started floating around the building trying to sense The Vanisher, even it cannot see him.

I activated the [Holy Veil]'s senses aywas searching for The Vanisher, I sensed danger coming towards me and I prepared to block it. The danger was coming closer, when it was close enough for me to to use my blocking skill, I felt a s***h at my back.

I fell down and quickly crawled away from where I am. Immediately I left that place, a sword hit the ground, it was so close to me. The sword left a distinct mark on the floor, seeing the mark, I couldn't imagine what would have happened to me.

The Vanisher appeared in his visible form laughing again

"Hahaha, how many empty barrels did Justice Hands have in his f*****g justice organization?"

"Check in the barrel, see if it's empty" I replied while standing up from the ground

Standing up was very painful, the wound on my back was very deep, although it is healing, it was slow.

I landed my gaze on The Vanisher but I was late, The Vanisher is already preparing another attack of his and now, my only option is to evade or block. Evading wasn't an option because The Vanisher already launched the attack, trying to evade will only give me another wound. I channeled my spirit energy into the common swords, dark purplish flames started emitting from the sword. I held up the sword in hope of it strong enough to block The Vanisher's attack but…

It Never Came.

The Vanisher's attack never got to me because his sword dropped when it was close to me, The Vanisher himself fell on his knees, bleeding from his mouth and nose

I took another glance at him, when I was sure that he was harmless, I shealted my sword. Then, I received a notification from the system. I took few steps away from The Vanisher and checked the notification

After I finished reading the notifications, I noticed that the wound on my back is gone, I smiled and looked at The Vanisher, he had fell completely on the ground and I received another notification

[Your Spirit Ghost inflicted 20 points damage to your target's health point; target will die soon, you received 50 percent of damage dealt]

I looked at the ghost, it was floating around The Vanisher's body, gradually, the Vanisher started to turn to ash, when his body finally distillated, the spirit ghost turned to me and screeched

Then I noticed the change, the spirit ghost now have a neck. I was sure that it has no neck on it when I summoned it, the system notification cleared my doubts

A good meal!

This is the second time my skill will evolve by having a good meal, the first time it was the [Spirit of the Dead] that evolved into [Spirit Ghost] which initially was headless but grew a neck after having a good meal

A sad part of the story is I cannot whether the Neal is good for them or not.

I looked the place where The Vanisher's body laid, there was no sign of him there, it was as if he was never in the building. Literally speaking, the ghost ate it up.

I smiled at the ghost and the ghost smiled back even though that smile was eerie, it would have scared a normal human out of wits.

The ghost noticed it's smile was scary so it tried to pass it's joy to me through the use if spirit energy, I did sensed it's joy and I ordered it to go back to its place. Almost instantly, the dark purplish ghost dispersed and the dark purplish flame was absorbed by me.

The ghost expressed more joy when it got into me, the initial wail of the dead for that moment turned to praise and happiness but ended in few minutes.

I sensed fear in from spirit energy wondered where it came from, I looked around the building and I saw the eight doppelganger, he was reincarnated and fully healed. He sat beside the wall in a corner of the building, shaking in fear.

Then I noticed the fear was not just from him but from all of the doppelganger because of the Joy of the dead.

I stopped the fear debuff from the ghost from getting to the doppelgangers and I headed out of the building, I took one last glance at building and I saw a golden glowing scroll right where The Vanisher died.
