It felt so uncomfortable standing between Tiana and Paxton. Both of them were staring at each other like they were ready to bite each other’s heads off, and I was stuck in the middle. I just hated being dragged into their stupid rivalry.
I took a step back, raising both of my hands a little as if that would help.
“I don’t need to be involved in whatever you two are fighting about,” I said quietly. “Please leave me out of it. I'm really trying to live a quiet life here.”
