Not long after Lexi left me at the dock, Ethan and a few other men showed up. Her ring worked liked a charm. The moment the tracker was activated, Ethan immediately knew something was up, and didn't hesitate to send people out to search for her. They were really surprised to see me, and not Lexi standing at the docks.
I was grateful that they didn't ask any questions. My mind was still spinning after my near death experience, and after everything Lexi told me. This was so much bigger than any of us had anticipated.
