I got out of the car and started walking towards Adam's car, but before I could get near, I noticed a young lady of my age approaching the automobile. Adam got out of the car, hugged the lady, kissed her, and opened the door for her to get in. I halted my moves because it was clear they were in a romantic relationship. "Adam had been with another woman all along?" I questioned myself.
"Follow them," I told Gomez, who followed them from behind. They arrived at a hotel named “Alexander Hotel," which is one of the best hotels in Mexico City, and drove inside. "Is that your husband, ma?" Gomez asked. "He was supposed to be my husband," I replied, crying. "If I am not overstepping my boundaries, I would advise you to let go; it is evident from their gesture that they are quite in love with each other," he said.
I knew what Gomez was saying was true, but how could I let go of a man on whom my entire life depended? It was over for me; I wasn't interested in life or money anymore. I simply wanted it to end. "Take me out of here," I told Gomez, who returned me to the motel where I had lodged. I paid Gomez $5,000, as I had promised the sales assistant at the vehicle store. "Oh, thank you, ma; it's not even up to four hours yet," he responded, wearing a smile of delight on his face.
"No, that's all for today; I don't think I want to go out again for today," I told him before leaving for my motel room. I reflected on everything I had been through over the last few months. "I do not deserve this," I reminded myself. I suddenly felt the desire to talk to someone. I took up the phone and contacted Mr. Jackson, asking for permission to visit his home. "Yes, my dear, I am at home," he responded over the phone. I decided I was going to terminate my dismal life when I returned from my visit to Mr. Jackson. I took the cap over to his residence. "Good afternoon, sir," I told him. "Good afternoon, Miss Cluckson," he said.
He offered me a seat, and I sat down. “I presumed you had accepted my offer to go with me to the United States," he asked. “Not really”. I am here to inform you that I won't be going with you to the United States, nor will I accept any gifts bequeathed to me by your client, Mr. Felix Benson," I said.
"If I may ask, why don't you want to inherit what your father left behind?" Mr. Jackson inquired. "I am sorry, it is something personal," I said, standing up and beginning to walk away.
"I know everything you've been through, Ariana," he stated, which caused me to stand still as tears streamed down my cheeks. "What do you think you know about my ridiculous life, sir?" I questioned, turning back to face him. "Everything, from the torture to the rejection by the Lawsons and the loss of your unborn child. "I know them all because I had you investigated and searched for before I found you," Mr. Jackson explained.
"I guess that is why you should understand my decision not to follow you back to the state," I told him. "No, Arianna. I don't understand why a young lady like you would reject a chance to live but cling to death, Mr. Jackson replied. "Because Adam is my life and my world; now that he is out, it has no meaning anymore," I answered.
"I may not know much about the life you spent with Adam, but I am offering an opportunity to repay the Lawsons for what they have done to you. I am giving you the opportunity to demonstrate who you are and have them fall on their knees before you. I am offering you more power and influence than the Lawsons currently wield.
These remarks took a strong hold on my thoughts and made me wonder for a time, "Why don't you pay them back in their own coin and frustrate them as they have frustrated you?" I had hoped that the Lawsons would see me as more than just a slave in their household. "It will be fun to be their superior," I told Mr. Jackson, who smiled in response.
"Inherit your father's company, and none of the Lawsons' will be able to look you in the eyes and ever call you a slave ever again because what you will inherit is both power and influence," Jackson explained.
"Are you sure I am going to gain as much power as the Lawsons to enable me to have my revenge on them?" I asked. "Yes, Ariana, you will gain all the power and influence any business man or woman can get all over the world." These remarks turned my aggravation into wrath, and I couldn't help but want vengeance on all of them for everything they had done to me, especially the killing of my unborn child.
"When can we leave for the United States?" I asked Mr. Jackson, who replied, "In a week, I just need to work on your traveling documents." "Alright, sir, I would like us to leave as soon as possible," I told him.
"OK, Miss Cluckson, I will do my best to get it ready as soon as possible," responded the gentleman. "Thank you, sir." I stood up, shook hands with him, and spoke. "The pleasure is all mine, ma," he said.
I went out of Mr. Jacksom Herman's apartment, giving up the desire to end my life. I left with a new goal: to soar above the Lawsons and make them lick my feet.
I still had over $300,000 on my credit card and planned to live my best life before moving to the United States. I took a taxi back to the motel. I returned to my room, called Gomez, and told him to come around tomorrow because I was going out. "OK, ma, I will be there very early in the morning," he said.
I went down to the restaurant for dinner before returning to my bed that night, where I slept well. The next morning, I dressed up in one of those gorgeous clothes before Gomez arrived. "Good morning, ma," Gomez stated. "Good morning, sir," I said. "Where are we going today?" he said. "Anywhere, but I wished to go have a spa and then go swimming before rounding the day up with shopping," I told him. "Ok, madam," he said.
He opened the car door for me as usual, and I got in and headed for a spa session. After that, I headed to the swimming pool. I wore a pink G-string pant and a pink bikini. I received a white towel and a bottle of wine, which I placed on my relaxation seat. "You may join me if you wish, or you may wait for me here," I informed Gomez, who chose to sit and watch me swim.
I jumped into the water like a fish; it was the one skill Adam taught me when we were together; he taught me how to swim. "It seems the water is your home," Gomez, who was observing, said. When I emerged from the pool's depths, I noticed Adam staring at me. I believed I was hallucinating until I saw the lady I saw the other day entering his car next to him.
"Ariana, don't tell me you followed me here," Adam inquired. I suppose he's overconfident. "The world doesn't revolve around you," I answered. "The world might not, but yours does." These statements reminded me of the days when he was my entire universe. "Maybe then, but not anymore," I said. "If that is not the case, then you must have escorted a rich man to the pool," he remarked, turning around to view the man. He pointed to Gomez. "You must have followed him here on the promise of a little cash," he told me.
Gomez approached the pool upon observing the way Adam was talking to me. "You are mistaken; I didn't follow him here, but he followed me here," I told Adam, who seemed not to believe. I got off the water and called, "Gomez." "Yes, madam," he replied. "Get me the towel," I instructed, wanting to show Adam that I was in charge. “Okay, Madam”. He reacted and handed me the towel, which I used to wipe the wetness from my body. "You must excuse me, Mr. Lawson; I am a busy woman and I need to get going," I told Adam before walking out on him.
“Get the car ready,” I told Gomez, who responded with “Okay, Madam." I walked to the dressing room, where I dressed up, and walked out once more. I could notice that he was staring at me as Gomez opened the car and I walked in. I could sense the confusion in his spirit written all over his face as seen from the side mirror of my car.
I was still driving to the shopping mall when Mr. Jackson Herman called. "Hello, Ariana," he said. "Hello, sir," I said. "I wish to inform you that your papers are ready," he told me. "So soon!" I exclaimed.
