Chapter 4
"How have you been, Nawal? You seem to have disappeared these days!" Mahi said, her usual playful tone evident in her voice.
"I'm always at home, you should come over," Nawal replied with a soft smile.
Mahi hesitated for a moment before asking, "Are you really okay?"
Nawal took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes, Mahi, I am. You know, I always thought Minhaj’s love would fill the emptiness inside me. But I was wrong. That void was never meant to be filled by a person… it was only Allah’s love that could complete me. And now, I understand that."
Mahi exhaled in relief. "I'm happy for you, Nawal. Before things got worse, you pulled yourself out of it."
"Yes, Alhamdulillah. Allah saved me in time," Nawal said with sincerity in her voice.
"Alright, I’ll come to your place soon. My brother’s wedding is coming up, and we need to catch up properly!" Mahi said excitedly.
"Of course! But right now, I have to go—it's prayer time."
"Alright, talk to you later. Take care!"
As Nawal ended the call, she felt a deep sense of gratitude. She performed her ablution and stood for prayer, her heart lighter than ever before. She was finally at peace, ready for the new journey Allah had destined for her.
