The final destination of love
Chapter 1 "Minhaj, listen! Look, we will convince your mother together. She will agree, trust me!" Nawal pleaded through her tears, her voice trembling. Her eyes were moist, and helplessness was evident on her face. "Nawal, you already know my mother's temperament. She will never agree." Minhaj replied, staring at his phone screen, as if he didn't have the courage to face Nawal's reaction. "Just try talking to her once; maybe she will understand..." Nawal's voice was choked, as if she was trying to console Minhaj, but deep down, she was utterly broken herself. "You don’t understand; she is very strict. We have to end this here." His tone was cold, as if he had already made up his mind. Nawal listened to his words with shock and pain. A thought kept echoing in her mind—"Is this really happening? Was everything a lie?" She fell silent, but inside, a storm was raging. "Just talk to her once, Minhaj. Maybe she will understand..." Nawal’s voice was shaking, still trying to hold on, still trying to convince him. "I know my mother, Nawal. You don’t understand. She will never agree. We have to end this here. I love you, but my mother will never accept it. I can't do anything about it." Minhaj stated firmly, leaving no room for hope. "So, all those promises, all those oaths, all that assurance, all those commitments to stay together—was it all a lie? Was your love nothing but a deception?" Nawal asked with anger and disbelief. Minhaj lifted his gaze for a moment but then quickly looked away, once again fixing his eyes on the phone screen. "Nawal, what I said felt right at the time, but now the circumstances have changed." "Have the circumstances changed, or have you?" Nawal’s voice grew louder, but pain was evident in her tone. She still couldn't believe that everything she had dreamed of was turning out to be a mere illusion. "Look, I told you, nothing can happen now. My mother will never agree." Minhaj said indifferently. --- Minhaj sighed, as if trying to get it over with. "I'm leaving now. Take care of yourself. Goodbye." Saying this, he ended the call and left Nawal shattered. Nawal remained seated, motionless, for a long time. Her tears fell uncontrollably. She kept staring at the phone screen, hoping for a miracle—maybe Minhaj would come back, maybe he would say something else. But nothing happened. Her world had just fallen apart, and there was nothing she could do about it. --- Chapter 2 Nawal looked up at the sky, her eyes filled with tears. "Allah, I did everything for You... please hold me now." She wiped her tears away and, for the first time, felt a strange sense of peace. Minhaj had left, but she hadn't been deceived—she had chosen to hold onto herself. When she told Mahi everything, Mahi sighed deeply. "I told you, Nawal..." "It’s okay, Mahi. At least now I understand." "Yeah, but it still hurts, doesn’t it?" Mahi asked softly. Nawal didn’t answer. Instead, she gave a small, sad smile. She had always portrayed herself as strong in front of everyone, but her heart was in pieces. As she scrolled through her phone absentmindedly, her eyes landed on a verse: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear." (Quran 2:286) Reading this, she felt a strange comfort. She started watching different Islamic scholars' videos—each word felt like a balm on her wounded heart. ---
