The final chapter
Two Years Later…
The past was a closed chapter now. Nawal had moved forward, embracing life with open arms. She had learned that true strength wasn’t in holding onto pain but in letting it go.
Tonight, as her wedding day unfolded, Nawal stood before the mirror, adjusting her dupatta. Her heart pounded with anticipation and nervous excitement.
She heard a familiar voice outside her room.
"Maahi, stop teasing her!" a friend called out.
It was her wedding day, and Maahi—always full of playful energy—had been buzzing with excitement all morning.
Nawal shook her head with a small smile. Just as she turned, Maahi burst into the room.
"Madam! Your groom has arrived!" Maahi announced dramatically.
Nawal’s cheeks flushed as she exclaimed, "Maahi!"
"What? It’s true! Come on, everyone’s waiting for you," Maahi grinned, twirling around.
Nawal took a deep breath. She had always dreamed of this day, but never in the way life had written it for her.
As she walked into the grand hall, her eyes met his.
Mehrab.
Her husband.
Her future.
He smiled warmly at her, his gaze filled with a kind of respect and admiration she had never known before. A verse echoed in her heart:
"Fabi ayyi aala’i rabbikuma tukaththiban."
"Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?"
Indeed, Allah had written the best for her.
