Chapter 13 - Rose POV

Waking up in bed this morning, I recall the memories from last night as it gives my stomach butterflies just thinking about him.

Flashback

He grabs my hand leading us to the backyard for the crowd inside is starting to become a bother to us. Leading me to a love seat on the patio, I am admiring all the different types of flowers that surround us. ”Rose, do you like it here?” Milo asks looking straight into my eyes. I feel my cheeks start to get red but I’m thankful that I have on all this makeup, “When I first saw the house, it took my breath away from how magnificent it is. Why do you ask?” “I’m just curious you can say.” “Can I ask you something?” “Yes, anything you want to know.” Taking in a deep breath I ask what’s been on my mind since the first day I met him. “How come when we first meet at my work, you didn’t seem very happy to see me as you right now.” And right at that moment, the look in his eyes seemed so heartbroken that I wanted so bad to comfort him. Reaching his hands towards mine he says, “Rose when I saw you, you took my breath away, I wanted to talk to you so f*****g bad but then my stupid friend Damion was flirting with you right in front of me and believe me it took everything to not kick his f*****g ass.” I can not believe the words he is saying, that I have my mouth opened like a fish out of water. Milo laughs and brings his hands to caress my jawline with the tip of his fingers that’s making my stomach do crazy flips. When he stops laughing we lock eyes on each other and we slowly start to lean on one another's embrace and at that moment when our lips touch, it's just the two of us enjoying this moment.

Once I came back from walking with Zeus and finished cleaning my house all there is to do is wait for the girls to get here. I can’t wait for them to meet Anna especially since she helped me with the whole costume issue I had. After thirty minutes everyone is here, getting along with one another which I am so happy cause we know we can talk about all the new gossip in our lives. “So Rose, how was it last night with that gorgeous man last night,” says Emily winking at me. And with that everyone in the room is looking at me. “YES! Tell us every detail because I swear to go if he didn’t make a move on you I’m gonna be so pissed cause you looked amazing last night,” says Anna. “I mean ugh, well we just talked,” I say as I feel my face turn red. “Just talk my ass! Spill the details girl!” says Bianca throwing a pillow at me. “We just talked! I swear we didn’t do anything else! I mean we did, we uhm kind of kissed?” I say making a fool of myself. “OH MY GOD!!” all three of them say at once but Kelsey seems she's somewhere else right now. Throughout the whole day, we spend time talking about school, work, and the men in our lives as we watch Netflix and order takeout.
